The ability to preview non-image files would be nice, some files,​ have to be downloaded to be previewed. The mobile app could be faster, and I miss the capacity to paste easily something with more than 4000 characters. It's a really good implementation of channel style communication. Security was incredibly important to us so the fact the database was stored on site and not in the cloud was a big win. It also meant we didn't have to rely on a subscription to have access to older conversations. It was often invaluable to be able to go back in time as far as we wanted to find the answer to something. It was also really easy to set up, in fact it wasn't even set up by the IT department! The reply feature could work better, it only gives you the context of the first comment replied to. Some plug ins also don't work as well as they could. For example it's easy to lose the results of a poll, it would be nice to be able to pin them to the side of a channel or something. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most is the ability to fully customize the appearance of the application and the way it automatically responds when we are not connected. It does not need to be connected to the internet to work wonderfully, and it has a significant number of options to communicate with all departments quickly and efficiently. Something that can be problematic on some occasions is its slowness in processing certain large videos for presentations or a significant number of images, it is a problem to consider and that should be resolved as soon as possible to avoid inconveniences that can take a lot of time to resolve. I like that is a software that can be customized, to meet requirements. So, when the company I work for started to grow, we needed a software that adjusted to thatr growth and let us mantain the internal comunication we had before. Mattermost met that requirement.
