A very powerful plotting and map tool that is a favorite for every Telecommunications engineer. I have been using this tool since 2007 and never has this tool disappointed me. One thing I dislike about this tool is its inability to process all types of data. There are few formats that it cannot process. Another thing of worry is the price that it comes with. I think my favorite part of MapInfo is the ability ease of use. It doesn't have all the extra bells and whistles which is a good thing. Easy to navigate and keep your map files organized. The new version can be a little confusing and the is always asking you to save workspaces which can cause problems. Also the tool bar is really small which might be a big deal if you don't have very good eye sight. Can be really expensive if you need the most up to date data.
