Its a user friendly software which any user can easily get adapted to the right usage of the software. The sql queries, spatial and map options to calculate statistics of assets on mapper are best utilisation of all in one software **What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?** Have not come across such an experience yet **Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:** Valid software for Sewerage modelling practice. **What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Usually, Asset database records are all in mapinfo software files. The tab files are the ones we use for updating the catchment geography, and report writing at the end of the project. ### 2. We can easily play with rasters and do lot of things which for various kind of projects. **What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?** With the labels turned on, it works quite slow. When we are editing and we turn on the label of the feature, the whole process gets too slow that is the one thing I dislike. **What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Map info is very helpful in gis tasks. I have been using this tool since 2007 and never has this tool disappointed me. A very fast processing tool that has the functionality to plot, process, display different maps with colorful thematic options to display the maps and sites in different formats **What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?** One thing I dislike about this tool is its inability to process all types of data. There are few formats that it cannot process. Another thing of worry is the price that it comes with. My organization has purchased this software so that is fine but if I want to purchase it myself, it costs a lot so if the price can be brought down, that would be great. **What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** The benefits are numerous. As I said before, it provides the functionality of processing, plotting sites on the map and with its thematic functionality, I can differentiate different types of data/sites. It doesn't have all the extra bells and whistles which is a good thing. Easy to navigate and keep your map files organized. Also, they have really good tech support and actually seem to listen to my complaints and ideas. **What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?** The new version can be a little confusing and the is always asking you to save workspaces which can cause problems. Also the tool bar is really small which might be a big deal if you don't have very good eye sight. Can be really expensive if you need the most up to date data. **Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:** Its a great program. You may have more resources and more options with ArcGIS but this program has always allowed me to get the project done with relative ease. And every time i have ran into trouble their support have always solved my issues.I would also add that you don't need to update your streets all the time.
