What do you like best about Mailbird?

Integration of the calendar into the mail client Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mailbird?

Sorting and filtering needs to be improved; if the calendar could show a weekly / monthly view, would help; integration with icloud calendars should be developed and implemented ASAP Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:

There is a bit of a learning curve associated with this product, however works relatively well once installed and configured. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?

At times, the synchronization with my Google doesn't work - the events don't show up in mailbird or are in the wrong timeslot. Very infrequent and I haven't been able to determine why. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Mailbird?

It is a very good Gmail client -- fast and smooth -- and it does work very well with the various add-ons. I tried doing all of this stuff with Outlook, but it was so slow and clunky as to be useless. Mailbird does all of the email and calendar work flawlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mailbird?

The Slack integration doesn't work at all. After I sign in, I just get a blank screen. I've tried this on three different computers, and just now. I tried it after a fresh install of Windows. Tech support made one suggestion 10 days ago and have since ignored me and the problem. Also, their Chrome addon is so out of date many sites (like Slack.com) do not work. That's inexcusable. I can managed multiple email accounts and calendars very easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Mailbird?

MailBird is excellent at handling multiple email accounts, handling threads efficiently. It makes it easy to keep inboxes clean (often empty!)

It is also faster than Outlook.

Tracking (seeing who has opened an email) is excellent

Absolutely LOVE snooze (where the email is hidden until a specified time, then appears at the top of the Inbox) and delayed/scheduled sending!

Integration of commonly, but lightly, used apps is a very convenient feature.

The support function is great... if you can't find a specific answer (which happens often, given this are a young and growing app), you can get response from a human fairly easily without having to wait too long. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mailbird?

It doesn't easily modify the dictionary, meaning that (since I use Canadian spelling with many special terms-of-the-art) I have many words flagged as mis-spelled.

The search function could be better... I often find it difficult to search for past emails which I know contain a particular word.

I wish there were an Android client (I believe it's in the works!) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am getting a LOT closer to Inbox Zero than with past email clients

I miss fewer emails in the mess of a cluttered inbox Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Mailbird?

Mailbird makes it easy to manage my multiple inboxes, I use it for my personal and work accounts (I have 2 work emails) and I can always easily see where mail is coming to and from. The additional apps are sometimes helpful but I usually end up just going to my web browser anyway, probably more useful on a smaller screen. Also their search is fantastic, you can query for particular items quite easily (like emails with attachments) and I am always able to find what I'm searching for, unlike other mail clients I have used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mailbird?

Wish that categories from outlook could appear in mailbird as we use this feature a lot at work and would love to see it sync. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have a personal email, 2 work emails and a student email, this allows me to stay logged in and up to date with emails across all of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Mailbird?

I like integration with productivity apps. Asana, Microsoft To do etc and that I don't have to leave the app to check in on my business social media accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mailbird?

Needing tech support. If you do you are practically on your own. Have been unable to confidently send emails since March 12, 2020 and its April 2, 2021. Sometimes they send many times they end up in draft or the outbox and you THINK your business associate has heard from you. Can you imagine the problem? an email app were the main problem is you can't send email and you can't get tech support do fix it? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:

Its feature rich, visually appealing but if you can't reliably SEND and email which is THE most important feature and if you can't get proper tech support after a year of trying to resolve it then no I can't recommend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?

Increasing productivity and integration with social media apps Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Mailbird?

I really like the ability to know of a recipient of the email actually got the email. This is the feature that sold the email client to me. The simplicity of being able to backup the email was another major factor in me moving to mailbird. It's as simple as copying and pasting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mailbird?

A lot actually. I created rules for emails to be moved to particular folders on receiving them, just for organising things. Unfortunately this is where Mailbird fails badly. If you have multiple accounts and multiple rules you run into a pretty marjor issue. On receipt of the email, the email is moved to its particular folder. Unfortunately there is no ability to see if email has arrived e.g. a number beside the actual email accounts address to signify there is actually email there. This can cause you to completely miss important email as you are not aware that email has landed. Why a simple number cannot be put beside the actual email address is beyond me and you would have imagined that this would be a pretty basic requirement.

I also disliked the Apps the majority of which are pretty basic and if you are a professional you wouldn't really use them.

Another issue is the tracking which basically sold this email client to me in the first place. SOmetimes the tracking system cannot be reached which means you cant send email. I can imagine how teses things can happen but what I can't understand is why we cant be prompted to disable it. You are left to yourself to diagnose why you cant send emails which if you aren't the most technical person you could be in trouble. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this email client. Apart from the email tracking it has issues. I have since moved back to Outlook because of the 'Cons' I mentioned above. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?

Having the ability to say; 'yes you did receive this email' Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Mailbird?

- Easy to manage attachments and images

- Clean design and appearance

- Easy to configure

- Kudos for Zero Inbox Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mailbird?

- Cannot select sort criteria such as subject, nor select ascending vs descending sort

- Keyboard shortcuts such as 'f' do not work

- Cannot use a key (like space bar) to scroll down within the current message without selecting it with the mouse first.

- The right or left arrow should expand or collapse a folder, but instead one must use the mouse to do that.

- The narrow scroll bar (popular now) is harder to select. Allow user to configure a wider old-style scroll bar.

- Allow keystroke alternatives to the mouse. They are faster, easier, and better for those with carpal tunnel or other such issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?

Faster and more stable than Thunderbird. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
