First of all: The LILT Platform is very easy to use, with a user-friendly interface. What I like the most are the many shortcuts that speed up the translation process a lot. From easy functions like confirming/unconfirming segments, going to next segment to moving tags around and many more. Working with LILT, you'll hardly need a mouse anymore. Apart from faster, it's also ergonomic.
But here comes the best (at least for me): You don't have just simple machine translation or translation memory results. The interface of most CAT tools shows you the results of machine translation (and fuzzy matches etc.) on the right side, while in LILT it prepopulates the editing line below the source segment. When you need to make changes in the machine translation result and start editing it, the translation suggestion changes accordingly: Corresponding articles, adjectives etc. adapt to the edits. You can accept word after word by just hitting the enter button, no need to write every single word. You can also accept a whole sentence with another shortcut.
Of course, LILT also offers terminology and other functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The QA shows a lot of false positives and the spell checker leaves something to be desired. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing is best! Yes, one thing is there they wait for us to receive the job. Job requests will be there for many hours. So, it is comfortable for me to access my job offers. No need to rush. But, I don't think new platform will give me enough time to access a job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their counting time. I translate fast and my fonts are not Roman letters, I have to find the letters outside the site many times. However, it is not being assessed on-site. So, I am not getting paid according to my effort. There is no transparency on how much I am going to get paid. Even though I had asked increase in the payment, the Lilt people never listened to it. I am getting paid below half of my effort. No answers to the queries. Late replies for submitted requests. No regular projects. The new change in the platform makes me more confused. I could not work on even a single project to date even though I got selected because of the complexity of the site management. Late payment. There is no way to know how much I will get and when I get paid. A lot of guesses are needed on this platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Again, it is very fast, and the editor interface is easy to use. The shortcuts make the work more productive, as well as the tools on the right side and right-clicking the mouse. Having the terminology already loaded is of help, in most cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First, the way the tasks are listed, in the landing page. When there's a long list (which is good!) it's hard to follow what's done or not done, what should be next, or to prioritize somehow.
Second, perhaps the terminology could be neutral for capitalization, unless it is mandatory.
Finally, the batch checks show so many false positives that it is easy to just ignore the important ones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been working as a freelance translator for over a decade, and LILT is the best translator platform I use today. Lilt has plenty of features to make a translator's job very smooth and easy to get done quickly. Especially the Translation Memory (TM) feature. With this feature, I can read and compare the best translation output for the project. All the best for LILT! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lilt recently had a low volume of jobs for me to pick up, and I have to respond first to whether I'm available or not to pick up the job via email. Unfortunately, I don't always check my emails and often miss the job. I look forward to more job opportunities with Lilt Platform. Hope Lilt can improve on this matter. Auto-propagation, the search and replace function, and the supporting materials - glossaries or help from the PM whether something should stay in English or be translated. Accounting is automatic so I do not have to copy data several times in a month just to keep up. There are various views, you can use them in a longer document especially. The moving of tags is really inventive and it works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Three areas need improvement. 1. Tags in long or difficult sentences present a serious challenge especially when replaceables are included. Moreover, tags in my recent longer translation appeared incorrectly placed in all longer sentences. Translating to Hungarian would require rearranging the sentence, for example, I would have to provide replaceables with suffixes but that is next to impossible with tags.
2. The QA process is generally good and helpful, but it has one giant handicap right now. There is a type of question where the system is asking me where the equivalent of an English word is - for example: The, The elements questioned are always in the text, but somehow the Tool does not recognise them. This is just a no-go in a translation platform. E.g. some languages do not use articles at all (like Russian). This whole category is ill-conceived and I found no useful suggestions in it even a single time.
3. Numbers and codes are not always accurately copied to the target - but I think we could expect that from an AI-based platform. We linguists should be occupied with the language and not checking sequences of numbers and codes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform is great mostly good proposals for translations ant it remembers corrections, Good overview of jobs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to be able to accept jobs by clicking the link in my android phone, I cannot login there, I am maybe out shortly to pickup my son from school and can work half an hour later, but it would be nice to be able to accept translations and reviews by phone. Faster for you as well. The jobs that are DONE stands on the list for a long time. Very long segments are difficult to translate and edit as they jumps up and down, and are slow. Your platform slows down in the afternoon, maybe auto-flush your server cache or dynamic load balancing of serveers (likle in AWS). In the list the payment date sometimes get pushed out in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

LILT Platform has a number of advantages over other translation platforms. The interface is user friendly, simple yet contains a lot of useful features. You can track the word count and progress. There are several important features in this platform including Find & Replace function and small window containing the description of the string being translated. Working with tags is quite hard. Tags absolutely cannot be copied or moved. Projecting the tags is so random, they projected to the wrong position in the sentence and can't be changed with simple keyboard shortcuts.
Keyboard shortcuts sometimes don't work if the keyboard language is different than English.
Revising or editing the confirmed segments sometimes don't work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It matches my areas of interest and skills and has a regular flow of jobs. The payment is also decent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Most recently, LILT changed its job allocation patterns. Now, the job goes to the translator who reacts to a job offer first. For the last three weeks, I could not get a single job because the moment a job offer arrives and I open it, it is already taken by someone else. A translator should have at least a 10-15 minutes gap for accepting/declining a job. The way it set up now the system is absolutely unacceptable! It neglecta any merit and does not reward translators for good work done in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Their CAT tools and the organization of their teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Assigning the task using pools of translators better select the best matching profiles considering their background and field of specialization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been working with the platform for some time now, and what I find most helpful is the easy access to overview of projects assigned. They can be opened directly on the platform, without being sent to another page or external editor, which helps in terms of time management. The interface is also very clear and easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have a lot of issues with the correct deadlines shown on the portal, according to which role one has (translator, proofer). I find these information very confusing, and often times the deadline is not even showing. This makes it difficult to schedule the day... I dont find the filters very helpful in this matter either.
The platform is also very slow at times.
I also experience a lack of response to queries and questions; sometimes not responded to at all or slow response Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like being able to use the Concordance on LILT to ensure consistency in terms when translating. Most of all, I love the interface and the provision of related translations for reference which is rather helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't particularly enjoy the QA aspect of the platform. The system seems to be assessing the translation based on the English language system. For instance, it will provide feedback that the 'punctuation at the end is not the same as in the source', or the translation is too shor,t, etc. which does not apply in the target language, especially Asian languages. It can be time-consuming having to respond to these 'concern's, as well as the ones that seem to insist on whatever is in the system as glossary which, depending on context, might not totally apply in the translation rendered. These are honestly what I dislike about the platform. If the system can be smart enough to understand the target language structure and system is not the same, then it can help save some unnecessary time in QA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
