I wouldn't recommend this to very small businesses - it has a level of power and flexibilty that does come with some complexity. But for businesses that are growing and have the resources to invest in the system, it is very much worth your consideration. We are a small business running an eCommerce store for our range of packaging supplies. As a primary portal for both customer acquisition and sales, it is essential that we have a flexible system that can meet the ever-changing landscape in eCommerce. We have been able to integrate with other software, so we can automate much of our processes related to our website.

I seriously only strictly work with Kentico now. It is just that good. I can't recommend it enough. The main reasons that I feel this way are:

The amount of functionality out of the box is truly impressive. I can do content management, e-commerce, social media integration, integration with ERP systems, and much more.

The support that Kentico provides for its products is also top notch. They are open 24/7 and respond very very quickly to any email I send. It's a great feeling to know that I always have a backup in case there is something that I cannot figure out. And if you do find a bug in their software they are committed to fixing it within 7 days, and even plant a tree in your name for every bug you find.

I use Kentico CMS daily at BizStream and have personally been involved with building over 70 sites. My team and I chose Kentico as our CMS of choice after going through what seems like a normal progression of building our own custom CMS from the ground up, moving on to using and customizing open source CMS's like WordPress and Drupal, and then finally realizing that there just has to be a better way.

That better way was Kentico. I am not kidding when I say that after 2 hours of using this product I fell in love with it. Not only was it built on my favorite technologies, SQL, ASP.NET, C#, but it delivered on its claim to be an all-inclusive solution to building websites. The out of the box functionality is great, adding modules such as e-commerce, mobile friendly templates, or blogs is as simple as adding a few web parts to a page template all through the easy to use interface. Building sites with Kentico is extremely fast and easy. I love how transformations and document types are setup so that you can write content once and re-use it in many places on the site.

Another fact that really sold me was that our end customers at BizStream love the sites that we build for them. They constantly give us great feedback on how easy it is to add and update content on their websites. When my customers are happy I am happy.

In summary making new customers and current customers happy is the main business problem that I am solving with Kentico for my business. Kentico allows me to do this. As an agency, we're solving a multitude of business problems. Features of Kentico we've used to solve problems include, multi-site management, muli-lingual implementations, responsive/mobile implementations, lead capture, e-commerce, back office integrations and many many more. The biggest benefit is the ease and speed of development

I feel this is one of the best CMS out there, but although I am biased as I really like it, I would recommend downloading a Demo of Kentico and trying it out :)!

The Kentico Support is amazing and really helpful.

The have an ever improving EMS version where you can do lots of marketing related things like Content Personalisation, Marketing Automation, A/B Testing, Multi-Variant Testing to just name a few.

For me my daily tasks are to look into different ways something could be built in Kentico. In most of my cases I always find that there is not just one way to build something in Kentico. As we have different requirements from different clients, choosing an approach for one client could be something completely different for another client. When I used Kentico in a previous healthcare position, the CMS allowed us to step up our web presence and add tons of functionality and features for our website users, none of which were possible with the CMS used when I started the job. The new site generated tons more visits and helped the department expand website content to make the site more useful to visitors. Kentico made it so we could update and change content quickly and easily, and generally without the help of technical staff. We saved so much money on the CMS and development over what the department had been spending that we were able to keep pressing forward with more online marketing initiatives.
