Kentico CMS is so easy to use. Very intuitive navigation, easy to input content as a "layperson" as I'm not a designer or developer, I'm a marketing person and easiest I've ever used! Love it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I don't like and I shared this with the Kentico team is that the input for SEO elements is so buried! Should be a top level feature so it can't be forgotten. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease to which content producers can use the product. We can have non-technical users updating websites in no time and they love the ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The complications of setting up web farms have made us use Akamai for redundancy. It also takes a bit of a learning curve to understand how to setup the environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The simplicity of the concept. The ability to manage absolutely everything on it.
The idea than you can always go back to c# to write your own code, and use it inside Kentico.
The SUPPORT.
The 1 week bug hotfixing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
After deploying it, the first load can be sometimes too slow, but this is not a Kentico issue, it is more an .net issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use. I can login into a CMS desk from anywhere, even on my phone and make timely updates to my site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the email functionality could be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The user interface and layout is really user friendly and easy to navigate. Without much training most people can edit and change pages without much trouble at all. Much of the editing you can do feels like Word and it has similar icons and styles that you can choose.
Further to this if you want to go into more depth then there is plenty for more advanced users to get into so it is a good all round system for all levels of users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it is hard to embed certain files into some of our articles we produce, but really I cannot think of many other dislikes. I do not use all of the CMS functionality so I could not comment on the whole system but for our needs it really does deliver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Kentico allows changes to be made to our website quickly and easily. The navigation of the CMS desk is really simple, made even simpler by the fact you can pin your favourite/most useful pages and editing sections to your home page so you can access them even quicker.
Changes in content and design are really easy to do and the preview mode is much better than previous versions of Kentico. All editing of text, uploading of images is really quick and user-friendly, which was the main problem we were having with our old Kentico system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes images haven't formatted correctly when they've been uploaded, however once you get used to the system and which options you need to select, it's very easy to overcome this. We do not use all of the features available but the main editing pages and the page to add users are both really simple and user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very user friendly interface and workflow for both administrators and content editors. We are a large organisation and have multiple backend users of varying levels. The content editing interface is straightforward, logical allowing pages to be created easily and quickly. We also use the Kentico intranet solution which integrates seamlessly with the same user interface. Switching between the 2 is done by a drop down so eliminating the need to log in to a separate instance. Out development partners who provided our 2 solutions (i3 Digital, Belfast) have been able to produce customisations to fit our requirements so Kentico isn’t restricted to just the ‘out of the box’ functionality. There are varying privilege levels restricting access to particular features and pages for individual users, groups of users or as the organisation as a whole.
The Recycle Bin, which is capable of recovering previously deleted assets, has proven a useful and reassuring tool for some of our new users.
There is an option for an approval workflow so editors cannot publish changes without approval from an administrator, although with dozens of changes each day it can get overwhelming with the volume of email notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We upgraded to version 8.2 which saw quite a lot of issues with us adding on the intranet solution. It also isn't possible as a CMS Administrator to add additional CMS back end users for both our website and intranet - we have to keep going through our development partner for this which seems an unnecessary cost. Ideally our staff would benefit from a responsive version of the Kentico intranet solution for use on mobile devices – seems odd as the website is capable of this but not the intranet.
More control in terms of layout over online forms would be another requirement. They all seem to be fixed in terms of style with no straightforward way of changing them or their field sizes.
One of the most frequent issues we have had are new pages not being displayed in the search results - seems to be an issue there that each time we have to have our development partner resolve.

The finished product looks great, the system has a huge amount of power and endless possibilities all in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no step by step process. Different pieces are not always easy to understand or find.
User documentation is limited. Access to external reference Videos/Blogs/How to guides is rare at best.
A lot of the things you either need to pay an expert to do or find out by trial and error. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Kentico is a very user-friendly CMS for day-to-day management of a medium-large site. It has allowed us to customise our site without heavy reliance on developers and it provides us with the flexibility to ensure visitors to our site have the best possible experience.
There are a number of additional tools which can be enabled to provide functionality such as newsletters, forums, multi-language support etc if required which is also useful, although some of these features are a little basic depending on your needs.
Overall Kentico provides a great platform which is highly scalable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it too other users based on our use of the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I believe the e-commerce facility is separate - would be useful if this was built-in to the solution even for low-volume selling online. Also the web analytics provided are a bit lacklustre - instead would suggest allowing users to pull in Google Analytics would be more helpful.
At times the CMS can be slow, and while it's great that there is a newsletter facility provided this is not suitable for our volume/requirements so the ability to fully integrate with email marketing software and CRM systems would be useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This management system is straightforward to use, extremely fit for purpose and very dynamic.
Happily I don't need to have a host of IT degrees to enable me to understand how to use this product. Kentico provides me with a 'one stop shop' information source that services a number of different end users seamlessly. It bring together the information I input and outputs it in a way that I would never have the time to construct in so many different platforms. It allows me to save time by allowing me to have an automated feed of information represented on my website which the end user knows nothing about the actual source of the content. This means my staff can input the information once but it reaches a number of webpages through the system, again a cost saving measure for my employer, which is so important in today's economic climate. The only dislike I have is that it can't interpret what I'm thinking to input (maybe that will come in a newer version). I can honestly say I have no real dislikes for this product as I find it meets all my needs and demands - infact it exceeds them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
