Product Description

Securely store, share and manage your passwords, logins, credit card numbers, bank accounts and private information in your encrypted digital vault.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Keeper is built with a proprietary, zero-knowledge security architecture, meaning all encryption and decryption is done locally on the user’s device. Each record is encrypted using end-to-end AES-256 with a different and unique key that is randomly generated, client-side.

On top of aggregate security audits, Keeper also provides event logging and tracking for over 200 event types, the ability to send event-based alerts and the capability to log events to an external system. Keeper provides a powerful tool for developers and IT admins to automate and integrate password management, provision users, rotate passwords and more all from the command line.

Keeper deploys in minutes, not months, and seamlessly integrates with any tech stack to prevent breaches, reduce help desk costs and ensure compliance. Keeper’s cybersecurity solutions are FedRAMP and StateRAMP Authorized, SOC 2 compliant, FIPS 140-2 validated, as well as ISO 27001, 27017 and 27018 certified.

What do you like best about Keeper Password Manager?

The user interface is very simple and user friendly which has helped drive user adoption.

New features rolled out to the platform with no need for additional licensing

The recent addition of supporting MFA codes within the vault has been a huge benefit to us.

The Keeper team continually contact us to ensure we are getting the most from the platform, providing areas for optimization to ensure we fully deliver on ROI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keeper Password Manager?

The standalone application is noteably slower than the browser add-on.

We'd like to see a feature to allow you to archive records prior to deleting records. A further feature would be to have Keeper auto archive old records that have never been accessed or not accessed in a given ammount of years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Keeper Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

Eliminating unsactioned storage of compamy secrets, providing an audit trail on password utilization.

Features such as Security Audit reports, helping the security team easily identify week passwords, password reuse and password hygiene reports to better educate users

Secure file storage allowing the storage of certificates and keys within the vault. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Keeper Password Manager?

I like the security audit feature which gives you a view of all of your passwords and evaluates them for strength and uniqueness. It makes it easy to look at all your passwords and determine which ones need to be updated. On top of this it shows you records at risk in a data leak with the breach watch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keeper Password Manager?

The interface was a bit confusing at first, it just took me some getting used to, but the folders and sorting of passwords makes it easy to find the ones youre looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Keeper Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use keeper as a user and admin, and its helpful for both personal use and for my organization. We have a number of users in our organization that need to share passwords, and keeper makes it easy and secure to share folders, rather than users sharing over email or other unsecure channels. It also allows us to see if people are using strong passwords, resuing passwords, or at risk, so that we can reach out to our users and get them up to better security standards. What do you like best about Keeper Password Manager?

They have good team partnered with us in training all people on how to use Keeper and why it is important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keeper Password Manager?

Product:

- The password leak alerts doesn't take into consideration if the password leaked with the email or website URL, making it informative signal with low confidence.

- Had very bad experience onboarding employees using SSO due to how to setup their device approval flow and bugs in it. Employees cannot approve their own device via email, and self-approval flow using existing session has very confusing copy. Their team recommended to me to setup auto-approve which is very insecure practice and defeat the purpose of device approval.

- The status of employees are very confusing, even their team were confused about what each status mean e.g. locked vs blocked.

- Their sms 2FA feature doesn’t work in some countries like UAE.

Customer support:

- As an enterprise customer paying premium, I have never got my issue resolved unless I escalated via the account manager.

- Experienced a bug during a session with the customer support team led to deletion of some accounts, the customer support representative straightaway started to blame me and offered me to pay them $225 per hour to recover the email. Even though they were in the call, and saw me taking the steps they recommended and saw the confirmation message.

- Generally speaking there is a tendency to close support ticket and blame the customer or suggest a quick fix instead of taking it up with the product team. E.g. when reported some employees complaint that they are not receving sms 2FA code, instead of going to investigate they said you should not us SMS 2FA and use authenticator app. When I told them there is a bug in the additional device approval flow, they said use this command and it will auto-approve devices for you (insecure practice). What do you like best about Keeper Password Manager?

Keeper keeps passwords organized within folders and sub-folders; you can also create more folders and inside those folders create records as well as files and photos to keep safe.

You can set Keeper to self-destruct after five attempts of failed logins and destroy those files that are kept safe.

The level of encryption is multi-tiered, and the most advanced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keeper Password Manager?

I got nothing negative to say about Keeper at this point; it s straightforward to use and relatively pleasant to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Keeper Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

The fact that cyber threats are everywhere and that your data can be comprised within seconds is what makes Keeper Password Manager critical for your organization's data to stay encrypted and secure.

Keeper Password Manager is flexible and agile enough to keep track of your passwords' age and strength. Keeper Password Manager also audits all your passwords ensuring that you keep up with making your passwords complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Keeper Password Manager?

Keeper is such an easy user interface and is highly secure. I trust it entirely for keeping my many user accounts and passwords safe and use it on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keeper Password Manager?

I use 2 accounts for keeper. One for work and one for perosnal. I share a directory shortcut to my personal records in my work account and sometimes later find I've dreated personal records in my Work account. While there is a process to change ownership of records, I wish it were a little simpler and an option to set the owner when a record is created vs going back later to change ownership.` Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Keeper Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keeper helps me keep a long strong unique password for every user account I have rather than sharing passwords between accounts. I no longer have to remember whitty passwords. I rely on keeper to create and store them savely for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Keeper Password Manager?

The best thing is the Okta / SSO integration! Simply adding someone to our Identity Provider (Okta) automatically creates a Keeper account and from there we can share various system, team, and account credentials. We also love the virtual MFA functionality, that has saved us a lot of headaches and and even when sharing a record with a non-Keeper user, the MFA tied to a record (if present) goes along with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keeper Password Manager?

I honestly can't think of anything, maybe the fact that sometimes people don't create records in the right container? That's more of a user issue than a Keeper problem though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Keeper Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

All businesses have credentials which need to be shared amongst team members and many times those do not get transitioned properly when people leave organizations. Making sure those types of records are kept in a common, transferrable, secure location is our primary use case. I call it credential vaulting rather than password manager. What do you like best about Keeper Password Manager?

The browser add-in works well, gets to fields that other solutions I tried could not, and can be moved out of the way. Employees get an initial warning that passwords they store belong to the company and can be transferred to their manager if/when they move on (we did not have this with our previous solution, which caused drama.) The free license for home use helps us reinforce good pw habits and also a separate space for work and personal life (as mirrored by Edge browser's work and personal profiles). The support was robust and native-English speaking when I called upon it. The price is favorable relative to the industry. Support for passkeys and TOTP allows teammates to share multifactor auth for company SaaS accounts not tied to SSO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keeper Password Manager?

I was not able to get the on-premises authorization tool working. I was able to get the cloud-hosted authorization tool working, but it cost $1,500 month in Azure fees so I dropped it. Getting new devices added requires an admin's help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Keeper Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's easy to create and use long, uncrackable (20+ character) passwords, and share them with teammates, even with MFA. Users are getting the message that passwords should not be human-generated, and should be shared via secure channels (i.e. not email/Teams). Project resource passwords are now linked to work teams instead of individuals who might lose them/forget them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Keeper Password Manager?

NINE years ago, our organization began looking for a secure, trusted application for the ever growing need for password management. I had some personal experience with some others, but their security seemed weak. I like Keeper's basic premise of creating a highly encrypted password file, kept locally on the device. While the Internet can be used to replicate the file elsewhere, I like that it is available, even with no Internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keeper Password Manager?

You need to create a master password or phrase. We set the bar high at 16 characters which include at minimum 2 flavors (Caps, lc, #, special characters) of each. Initially, users can struggle with this, but quickly they retain this requirement and develop some muscle memory to use daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Keeper Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

Way too many password for a user to remember. And using the browser function to remember passwords is foolish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Keeper Password Manager?

I find Keeper very easy to use when creating a new record, or using the fill tool to log into a site. It was extremely easy to get set up and running in our environment. I couldn't even tell you how many different accounts I have and this has been a tremendous help in keeping those passwords stored securly. I use this easily 15 times a day! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keeper Password Manager?

The only thing I don't like about it is that on some websites you need to disable the fill tool in order to uncover (see in clear text) a password stored in a setting on a web page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Keeper Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest issue Keeper helps to solve is having to remember the passwords for the dozens of systems we have. Now, I only remember 1! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Keeper Password Manager?

Can host in US or Europe, great for GDPR (RGPD).

Top security for password.

Handy feature : Password generation, Shared folder, sharing password with expiration date, Store security file or recovery file, and much more !

No more password stored in Excel !!!!

I even promote this to my customers and partner.

Really amazing ! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keeper Password Manager?

1. Changing Localization seems difficult, and received no help. That's really bad 😵

2. Pricing is a bit frustrated. You have to buy licence per user, that common practice, so no problem. 45$/user/year, is ok. But then, if you want Advance report, it's 0,71€/user/month, KeeperChat is 1,42€/user/month, Compliance Reporting 0.83$/user/month, ... I mean, just charge a licence, increase pricing a bit and make all product available !!

1.87$/user/month for a chat ! Have you heard of Google Chat, Discord, WhatsApp, ... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Keeper Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

No more Excel ! Password are securely stored in a manager. We are now able to generate a different password for all customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
