Kantata SX has enabled our PS team to take control of our business and give us insights we never had before. The ability to assign resources with confidence has been the single biggest improvement to our departments efficiency. In addition we appreciate the accuracy of forecasting which has improved the standing of PS within our company. Lastly, as our organization has grown through M&A, Kantanta SX allowed us to add on additional geographies, companies, and offerings with little effort. Kantana is simple, useful and efficent. Other project management applications are bloated with a multitude of features that encroach on the UI and ultimately slow you down as you navigate around them trying to find the features you actually want to use. I like the level of customisation - in the types of users, types of tasks/projects, statuses, and reports. However, this does mean that you need a dedicated person or team to tailor it to your exact use case (and keep up to date with improvements).
I like the invites to conferences to hear about updates, and the emails that keep us informed about new features. The new reports are intuitive and easy to use, providing a good level of detail on key KPIs.

I sometimes dislike the level of granularity that all users are able to see - and the lack of ability to customise the dashboard seen on entry.

I like Kimble as it has excellent tracking functionality which allows you to see exactly what is going on in all projects across the business and once you've learnt the terminology of Kimble it is very simple to navigate Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
All i can say about disliking is the way we were onboarding which is not completely Kimble's fault but is a lot of our own. I think diving deep into the onboarding would be a great idea, especially for small companies to ensure they are getting everything they need to go live Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kantata has been a valuable tool that makes my job as a Resource Manager much easier. My favorite fucntionality includes Assignment Searches - which allows our team to create various views of staff schedules, firm resource demand, and resource demand by Business Unit. I've always relied deeply on Kantata to understand resource profiles and I appreciate that I can search a database of skills and match resources to assignments all in one system of record. As a Resource Manager, I am often working as a change agent for Kantata, ensuring the stakeholders I support are enabled to use it in a way that makes their jobs easier. The feedback I receive the most about Kantata is that it is not intuitive. It can be difficult to know which icons to click on. In addition, because Kantata has so many features it sometimes requires many clicks to complete simple workflows. I think that Project Managers have the most difficulty with Kantata because loading data can be consuming due to the several web browsers that need to be opened to complete a record. The most helpful part of Kantata Professional Services Cloud product is managing resourcing on projects and seeing all resources across all projects in the company. The utilization and capacity reports helps us manage our staff costs and optimize our greatest asset, our people.

What I dislike about the Kantata G2 product is the lack of enough 2 way system integrations with QB Online and other systems, which creates several manual processes in our company and increases the cause of human error to financial manage project budgets with our clients. I love how easy it is to collaborate with team members on a variety of different tasks. I can easily go back and see where we left a conversation, set up recurring tasks, and integrate files from Google drive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The user interface could be slightly better. Having to hit enter twice now to track time is not as efficient. Additionally, our brand colors changed the button color to a less contrasting color. I absolutely love the Insights feature! It allows me to create personalized and friendly business dashboards with customized metrics whenever I want. Plus, I can easily share them with everyone or keep them restricted. One of the best parts is that all the numbers are almost in real-time, allowing us to see the changes immediately. While I'm very impressed with all the upgrades they have rolled out in recent years, there's still some room for improvement, particularly when it comes to managing finances and forecasting. I'm very optimistic that things will just keep getting better and better down the road. I really appreciate Kantata's commitment to constantly enhancing its features. Kantata has a strong roadmap taking regular feedback from users. Anything that may be “disliked” can be fed back to the Kantata team, they welcome this input, and can either be considered for roadmap or the team will work with you as the client to find a different or better way to navigate what isn’t a preference in the system functionality and ways of working. If I had to be drawn on one thing, it would be the scrolling and column width on classic dashboard insights reports. However the team are already working to address this. The Insights dashoboards feature is probably Kantata's strongest asset. While it does not cater for all niche business needs, there is often a workaround you can use the MAQL back-end to realise the data view you need. Although this usually required paid support. Very rigid UI & UX which at time is incredibly manually inputted. Things like time sheeting for others, changing rates for time entries, adding lots of people to projects and tasks/deliverables are all incredibly manual (& painful) tasks that require improvement. The Resource Centre UX is also quite poor due to low configuerability and inability to export the view easily. The automated scheduling of the dahsboards also could do with some work, the formatting of tables often dissappaears off a page and a loading icon gets printed onto the PDF upon sending somethimes..
