JDXpert is a simple way to manage all this with easy-to-use software that includes templates, auto-generated or customized reports, and customizable fields for virtually any position. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
JDXpert is easy to use. As an organization managing job descriptions manually, this has been a game changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not being able to print the org charts. I am hoping this will be an option in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You are forced to have a template, which I truly appreciate as it keeps a consistent flow when building job descriptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you are a "techie" type of person, you can easily get lost with the "behind the scenes" details in trying to perfect the ideal JD Template. it can become a bit overwhelming, but recommend upgrading to the Enterprise edition to have the support and help you need. I like that the fields within a job description are customizable and able to be pre-loaded for any job specs that are standardized across an organization by level. The workflow process is relatively straightforward, as well, with ability to push job descriptions out to multiple staff within the org to review and provide feedback. Similarly, it is easy to see the complied feedback and implement job description updates based on the feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I strongly dislike the keyword search capabilities, which are seemingly only functional in the largest "bucket" of data. For example, roles at my institution that we house in JDXpert are all staff positions (largest bucket). Within that, they are sorted by job function and then job family. I am able to search roles within the staff position bucket with the keyword search, but if I try to apply filters like job function or job family, the search engine in the software will not pick up any results. A broader dislike is the inability of JDXpert staff to handle certain requests, such as facilitating an automatic upload of all our jobs into our HRIS system, helping with troubleshooting when the software has an error, and being available to discuss requests. While I have not personally initiated help with any of those items, our systems specialist and manager have both spent hours on calls trying to negotiate help when needed. It's been a frustrating vendor relationship. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I had a great experience, working with Ruth, Jen, Andrea, and Elliott and others was a pleasure. I felt my concerns were always addressed quickly and things were always explained to me in a way that I could understand and they were beyond flexible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There was nothing that I disliked about JDxpert or the team that I worked with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

JDXpert team has really thought about all aspects around building a Job Description. I like the intuitive way the tool is structured to capture information and meet our requirements despite our JDs being quite unique. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing, so far. I haven't come across any areas where i felt JDx could've done it better. The only area we haven't explored as of now is direct integration with our newly upgraded Cloud ERP solution and user friendliness in accessing using phone, tablets etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ease of creating workflows for job description review where all reviewers are working off the same document with all changes tracked. I am also a fan of the FLSA questionnaire. It actually saved a previous client from a major lawsuit because they were able to show the rigor around the job description review and approvals as well as the ability for employees to access their job descriptions and recommend changes that were sent through an approval process. Additionally, the software has an amazing audit trail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I cannot think of any dislikes I have with the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Seamless integration with our HRIS. Ease of use for hiring managers who historically hate the notion writing job descriptions. In-flight tracking of deliverables. Job family vertical + business unit "horizontal" comparisons of job descriptions to ensure pay equity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Still looking for a reason to dislike the software : ) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Manager and employee self-service is great. Appreciate the ability to build job descriptions utilizing sources curated from the web. Like having workflows for non-admin users to propose changes, get approval, etc. and like that it can create designated URLs for granting non-users temporary/limited visibility during these workflows. Eager for upcoming enhancements that promise to improve intuitiveness and overall appearance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Outdated and messy appearance. Overly-complex logic to the backend structure, naming conventions, and overall design/build of the system. Incredibly difficult for customers (even technical system admins) to autonomously maintain/optimize on their own. Available training resources for system admins is abysmal. Technical support is hit or miss (often miss). Overall JDXpert puts customers on an island: seems it was perplexingly designed to keep customers reliant on tech support/account reps, while providing minimal customer support in return.
