Ignition makes it easy for us to set up our most common services and initiate a proposal for our clients. When they see it and hear from us via our video from within the proposal, it reduces the time to acceptance... and of course having clients accept and pay at the same time means we have no delay in collecting.
The ability to customise, template, change payment terms all at the click of a button keeps our business flexible enough to accommodate the cash flow needs of our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish we could apply multiple templates. For example, if I set up a group of services, it would be good if I could add another group of services without having to add them one by one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ignition has transformed our firm's financial health through its robust prepayment system, significantly improving our cash flow. The platform's user interface is exceptionally clear and intuitive, resulting in minimal client confusion - we see questions from less than 0.5% of our clients. One standout feature is the ability to preview the client's view of proposals, ensuring a seamless quality controlled client experience. The platform's commitment to thoughtful, incremental improvements demonstrates their understanding of professional service firms' needs and their commitment to cater to the needs of their clients. The main limitations are the current lack of integration with essential CRM and project management software like CCH (though this is reportedly in development) and the inability to customize client numbers to align with our other software systems. There is also a considerable learning curve to master all the platform's features and capabilities. While Ignition takes a measured approach to implementing changes, which we appreciate, it can take time to utilize all aspects of the system entirely. However, these minor drawbacks are outweighed by the overall value the platform has provided during our four years of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ignition is a fantastic platform. I love Ignition for the simplicity of creating new proposals, the awesome looking branding, the super affordable automatic payment system, and just the general UI of the platform. I have been using Ignition for quite some time now for my Social Media Marketing Agency, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to systemise their proposals, contracts, and payment collections (or even adhoc work).
Implementing Ignition into my business was insanely easy, and it is so simple to make changes on the fly. I use Ignition for every single new client in our Agency.
On top of this, the customer support is exceptional. Any questions or issues I have had, I get immediate responses from my own personal support rep, Sam Larkins. Sam is awesome. Brendan is also a legend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issue with Ignition is the lack of international currency integration. As our Agency services the US also, we need to charge in USD, which Ignition does not provide as of yet for Australian businesses. However, Ignition is that clean and simple, that we just send proposals through Ignition for US clients, then use Stripe to take payments seperately. So still useful. My Account Manager is the best! He regularly checks in with me to see if I need any help. And every time I have questions, he always provides prompt and professional solutions and suggestions. Although I may ask repeat questions, he is very patient. You know sending out the first proposal was a lot for me. But he supported me the entire journey until we celebrate together! I really love this level of technical and emotional support! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wouldn't say 'dislike'. I wish Ignition supports multicurrency, or at least USD. Even though I'm a Canadian company, I want to charge USD as my clients are global. I think Ignition uses Stripe. I can charge USD directly in Stripe. If I can charge USD in Ignition, that would be awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ignition has seamlessly allowed us to streamline our client base, by explicitly listing out services, customizing service terms and verbiage, and tailoring billing based on client need. We have seen tremendous growth in our clients' willingness to utilize digital platforms since implementing the digital service proposal and automated billing, and the software has only improved since we started using it. Renewals are easy, bulk creation is amazing, and customization is outstanding and ever-improving.
We have also been impressed with the customer service and customer success side of Ignition. We have worked with truly wonderful, brilliant folks who have provided great insights, workarounds, and brainstormed ideas for future updates.
Overall, it's a great platform that I have loved using and am happy to work with every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only things I wish could improve about Ignition are:
1) We can't integrate our billing with QuickBooks, so tracking payments for reconciliation each month is challenging, but that is also an issue with integrating our other software, so....work in progress for tracking things.
2) It would be amazing to have the ability to add a service and update billing within a 12-month proposal window. We have slight adjustments from time to time where it would be nice to be able to add something without doing a full renewal, especially if it was originally an "add-on" service in the proposal.
3) I have had a few instances now where we have sent the exact same proposal in bulk (for an annual process like 1099 filings), and it would have been amazing to mark the unaccepted proposals as "lost," in bulk, rather than individually.
4) I will say that there is quite a learning curve when learning to use and administer the software. I am still one of the only people in my office that can confidently use the software without issues, and I still make silly mistakes (not changing the billing to "proposal start," missing the billing cadence, etc.). Ease of Use - I find Ignition very easy to use. The setup is intuitive and the step-by-step workflow of setting up a new proposal ensures you don't miss anything.
Customer Support - Ignition has robust documentation online. You're also assigned an account manager that checks in regularly, and helps with initial implementation. If you like trainings, they also host monthly webinars about all sorts of topics related to using the software.
Features - What drew me to Ignition was the combo of proposal signing + invoicing with a solid Quickbooks integration. I tried about 20 other tools (not exaggerating!) and none compared to Ignition. I love that you can set up complex billing workflows (deposit, recurring, pay-on-completion) within the same proposal, and they recently added optional services to proposals so you can upsell. The branded portal looks clean and I think it impresses clients. You can create a library of commonly used services or create custom services for each proposal.
Ease of Implementation - Ignition is easy to set up. You mainly just need to set up your Quickbooks (or Xero) integrations and Ignition payments if you're using that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Aesthetics - Ignition was originally designed for bookkeepers/accountants, and you can kind of tell. Unlike other tools, there's not much in the way of designing your proposals. I run a marketing agency and looks are important to us, so we upload our designed PDF proposal to the "brochure" section of the Ignition proposal. This works well enough but I wish Ignition had a way to design proposals within the tool, or at least didn't call that section "brochure." The online portal is very aesthetically pleasing but if someone exports a PDF of the Ignition proposal, it's pretty unattractive.
One-off billing - There are two main options in Ignition: proposals + invoices, and "instant bill." With the first one, someone has to sign an agreement and then they're invoiced accordingly. With instant bill, no agreement is required but they also can't approve the invoice - it literally just charges their account on file. I would love a third option where you can invoice without an agreement, BUT people can approve the invoice before it's paid. Right now these are more rare for us, so we just run them straight through QBO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a new startup firm we wanted to get our tech stack right from the outset. We were immediately impressed with ignition through the initial presentation, through the trial period and straight into operation. Customising the templates to suit our firm was very easy and any queries were handled expeditiously via the help options. Our clients have also been impressed with the ease of use and how Ignition ties into the rest of our contact apps. We were also impressed with the automatic rollout of changes to the engagement letter as the CAANZ template was updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Have no hesitation recommending Ignition. It has enabled us to concentrate on client engagement without spending a lot of time in administration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I started using Ignition a year ago, and now we're at about 90% of our clients payment and proposals are managed in the App. Having the same database for package components and pricing available for each proposal I create, has saved me so much time!
I can sometimes find myself busy and make errors of omission - such as offboarding and canceling the monthly billing receipt, but forgeting to cancel the payment processing. These headaches keep getting fewer and fewer because I've moved over to Ignition. When a client cancels, the payment and the billing are all connected and can be stopped with the click of one button. The in-app support is amazing, and my rep is very responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
All payment processing fees are handled end of month in my billing, rather than with an automatic withdrawal from my bank when I receive the payment. This is not a big issue at all, just a change in the way I see my expenses related to payment processing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We've been using Ignition for our proposal and payment processing needs for 2 years, and it's been a game-changer for our firm. The software helps bring consistency to our engagement letters, services, and pricing and it ensures we have clear expectations with our clients from the start. We particularly appreciate the option to require payment upon signing, which streamlines our operations and improves cash flow.
Ignition has also helped us stay more compliant by ensuring we have signed engagement letters on file, a crucial aspect of our work. The software is user-friendly, making it easy for our team to navigate and manage our processes efficiently. On top of all that, their customer support is top-notch—always responsive and helpful when we need them.
If you're looking for a reliable and efficient solution for proposals and payment processing, Ignition is the way to go! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We wish the software allowed for multiple signatures on engagement letters so we could add pages that require a separate signature, such as a Form 7216. We also wish the client could deny/reject a proposal themselves, so we don't have to keep following up if they don't want to engage us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Creating the proposals are easy, and the syncing of client data is Great.
The fact that I can save my templates/proposal, duplicate etc, makes it very user friendly.
I absolutely love using the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like the approval function to be made available on all packages.
Payments are not available in my country, so at least other perks would be nice without having to pay that extra or upgrade the package.
If a proposal is created, and the service library was updated subsequently, I would like a notification that the proposal is not linked to the updated version of the service library. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The support representative, Iwas not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient in explaining the solution to my problem. They took the time to listen carefully, ensuring they fully understood my concern before offering tailored advice.
Not only was the issue resolved in record time, but the level of care and attention I received made me feel like a valued customer. It’s rare to encounter such dedicated, efficient, and friendly support, and it really speaks volumes about Ignition’s commitment to customer satisfaction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing. I truly appreciate the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
