For instance, you cannot pick and choose what is a taxable item or not. **Recommendations to others considering Proposify:** There are other programs available. There are some that are less expensive and offer very little. There are others that are extremely expensive and offer a few of the things that I think could be improved in Proposify. However, not a single one can beat the overall price and performance. If you are looking for a proposal management platform, this is it. We do nearly $30M a year in business and we use this for all of our proposals. **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our customers are diverse and we are able to create templates that speak directly to the unique verticals that we service. Also like the presentation and navigation for the client. The template gallery helps save a lot of time but did take a little bit to get used to/build so it was effective. I also love their support team. Simple things like grouping elements isn't possible or having unique shapes. Also would like to be able to organize images upon upload for quicker access. The mobile app could also use improving. **Recommendations to others considering Proposify:** If you want to get out of the "I'll drop this in the mail" or "download and scan back to me" world, Proposify is a great partner! They were different from sales person to sales person. Proposify helped us step up our game and create consistency across proposals. Honestly, how they survived his attempts at "helping" I'll never know. But one thing they did was bring on a great crew in their customer support area. So that makes it much easier. What you really want is an easy tool that makes generating proposals easy. This isn't that. At least not yet. We often use a designer to finesse elements and she can't stand the program. Says it is by far the most difficult of the tools people make her use. But here's what's great. The ability to have a proposal that people can click around in from section to section. That part is amazing. That said, often people just download it so you lose that key advantage. But even then, it looks nice, although you will spend way to much time trying to fight certain hiccups in the system that convince it you want a whole section to be a particular format when all you want is one line to be that way. It has improved. It has a way to go. But I keep using it because it does let me structure proposals more easily. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** The time spent fighting with it to do what it should do easily -- like formatting. Also, it won't play videos without you giving instructions to your potential client on clicking through and unmuting the video. That really sucks. **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm using it for select workshop and speaking engagements. I run a PR firm and speak to brands and executives that need to up their storytelling game. I don't know that I have realized benefits from it that I wouldn't have otherwise. ### 12. I never use them verbatim, but it's nice to have a theme, layout, and content outline to start **What do you dislike about Proposify?** I am not a techie by any means, and some of the things on the platform are so user-friendly, while other elements are infuriating. Example: Some of the layout features, bullet points, and numbered lists are incredibly touchy, and not intuitive at all. Another one- A couple of weeks ago I could not delete a page from the proposal. I reached out for help and the lady was extremely kind and helpful, AND after a day and a half of troubleshooting, she noticed that my screen resolution was too high (100%) which made the delete/trash can icon invisible. Lowered resolution, there it was, done! I also get nervous entering in all the client's info for fear of sending them the proposal before it's completed. I have also run into a prospect "accepting" the proposal when they didn't mean to do that. I'm not saying it should be difficult to accept, it should just be more clear that's what they're doing. Also, it seems that once something is uploaded (PDF/Image/etc) it is in the proposify system until it is manually removed. I put a logo on every proposal, so the image section is packed with images that I will probably never use again. SUGGESTION: Because I'm not too bright, it's a simple one: Have a spot right in the system where the prospect/client's logo can be uploaded. Would be great if it would automatically go on the proposal and not in image library. OR Maybe have an option for images that ties it to the client or proposal so that when the proposal is archived, etc, those images get archived as well? **Recommendations to others considering Proposify:** Just gotta poke around **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has helped to keep me organized and helps to make proposals look consistent and professional ### 13. I also like how the proposal process appears to my clients, from the email they receive to the signing process. Overall it makes my business look very professional. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** Some of the mechanics of designing and editing proposal templates are very cumbersome. Tables and styles in particular are difficult to use. For example, if I want to create a new content table it is quite annoying to change the table styles and colors. Also, tables can not be cut and pasted as they can in other word processing software (Word & Google Docs). Overall, I would say the editor lacks many of the quality of life features that exist in other word processors. Here are a few other examples: - being able to delete elements with the delete buttons. - being able to drag tables around. - some formatting issues like extra space between some words. - I can't apply some styles without switching to the style editor. - Managing spacing inside table rows can be cumbersome. **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** - Professional proposal templates that I can use quickly for different clients. - having a sales pipeline that automatically tracks who has received, opened, read, and accepted my proposals. - combining the contract with the proposal. ### 14. I also find it handy that I can see when someone has looked, so if they hadn't, I can send them a reminder and not feel uncomfortable knowing if they opened the email 20 minutes before. ### 15. It hooks up very well with Xero and Hubspot so I can import the clients directly from their enquiries and generate a 50% deposit invoice to Xero. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** The User Interface is sometimes a bit laggy in terms of trying to edit text colour, etc. and we have a video on the front page of the proposals - when trying to paste anything into the video URL (a new iteration of video ID for a new video) the whole URL is deleted, which makes replacing it a pain. Also, the mobile app could definitely use a lot of work as it is very laggy and inconsistent. Also the font page sometimes does not load, having said that Proposify is better than anything else I've tried. **Recommendations to others considering Proposify:** I would say that you should prepare everything you need for your proposals before signing up to make the most of your subscription time. Otherwise you'll be paying for the software while you're not using it. **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've improved our conversion rate considerably from just sending quotes to what feels like a full production with the proposals we send with Proposify. Yes, there is a bit of a learning curve. but the training videos make it easy to get up to speed on using the software. Also, there are a lot of feaures and functionality that are neat but I wonder if I really need to use them all. I took the step of just doing a basic proposal at first. As I create new ones i look into incorporating more features in the follow on proposals. I was able to create a few templates but each propsal needed custom content or wording. With proposify I am able to compile the different elements together and create new proposals in a fraction of the time as opposed to using Word. The digital signing part is a game changer, we had to use a combination of different platforms to send proposals, sign T&Cs wheras Proposify combines these. It also intergrates with our CRM system Pipedrive which will send a cusotmer an automated email when the proposal is signed. The feedback we have from our clients has also been fantastic, we've sent 2 proposals since we started using Proposify last week and both customers absolutley loved the process. They could see all the info they needed in a simple, slick document. They also loved being able to digital sign it too. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** I'd like recurring monthly costs to some how be included a bit better. As a web design agency we offer monthly maintainence plans. I add this as an optional cost but it adds to the total bill which did confuse a client when the total bill was more because of the monthly plan being added. It would be great if this would show as a seperate total some how. Apart from that nothing! E-signature were of a marvellous help with the current Covid-19 situation. The trial with all functionality really rocks!!! **What do you dislike about Proposify?** Not matter how much i love this tool i must say it is a bit out of my small MSP budget unfortunately. Also the templates are limited maybe in the future Proposify could add more templates. Having integreation with email providers (like M365 or goole? would help as well in my opinion. For example if I could have the proposal send via Proposify with my email address, that would look even better from the client's point of view.
