The Ideagen Quality Management system is simple to use, offering the features that our users want and need to enable them to do their work with ease. The quality assurance and control, coupled with the documentation system ensures that our users follow regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice to provide their best to our institution. The on-prem service was simple to implement and use, with good customer support when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The on-prem version, whilst stable, can occasionally have connection issues that require a quick server restart to resolve. There is a push to move from on-prem to the cloud which will remove this concern. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Staff member hosting the course was very up to date and patient with everyone who attended. Great customer support. Many aspects were discussed and everything blended together nicely, making it easy to follow along. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some aspects were not relevant to myself in my place of work however was still interesting to learn about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In our Pathology service, we have used Ideagen Quality Management (previously Q-Pulse supplied by Gael Ltd) since 2004 so we are really experienced users with about 800 accounts currently, and we've just rolled it out to Imaging and Pharmacy.
I think the best things about IQM are:
- it covers all our bases (document control, CAPA management, audits, training etc).
- the modules are linked together by shared fields so you can create something in one module (CAPA in Assets for example, and see it in the CAPA module; or training and people).
- it's intuitive to use. Once you get used to one module, the rest of the modules are built pretty much around the same principles.
Our account manager is fantastic and always on the end of a phone to chat about changes, help with the system or concerns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The technical support has definitely gone downhill in the last few years, which is such a shame because our experience before this was great.
I really dislike all the emails which come through and I rarely find the AI-generated ones helpful. Also, when you reply to an email to ask for more help you end up dealing with several different technical support staff and you have to explain everything all over again. It's quite time consuming for everyone.
I would still give the product a fairly high score because it is a great solution, but would be good if Ideagen could look at how their support process works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Simply put Ideagen quality system does what it says on the tin and more. It provides a platform for total quality system management in an efficient and effective manner without any fuss. It's highly flexible and can be bespoke to individual organisation needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only minor dislike is that I feel some of the actions should be achievable by less clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Moving from a paper based system to Ideagen has decreased the admin around managing documents in our QMS. They document system is easy to use and the email reminders help keep on top of things. It is very easy for confirming review and acknowledgement of things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The events module takes some getting used to but that could be a function of how we have modified it for use in tracking non-conformances. If you aren't a daily user of the system it can take some refreshing of how to do certain things at owner level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

IdeaGen provides a consolidated platform for compliance related activities. It's web-based, so support of the application is minimal. Email communications and reminders are supportive to keep compliance up-to-date. Configurable workflows allow for purpose built design to support business specific processes. On the Inbox page, some of the UI organization feels old. Scaling of sections when names are longer and pages are narrower, leaves to-do items off the screen. It would benefit from some responsive design in this and other areas of the application. All dashboard links seem to push user back to Inbox page, it would be better if a user could drill down here. Not aware of any multifactor authentication to manage end user access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We transferred to using Q Pulse in 2018, and it is such a massive upgrade to our workflow. We make particular use of the tasking allocation function within each module so that each indiviual knows what they have to complete and by when, and receive reminders when not completed. It ensures the timely delivery of actions, updates and documentation. It makes managing your workload a breeze, and management can reallocate work easily if someone end up off work for a period of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The feedback which I have received from some colleagues who arent as tech- savvy have had some issues with navigating their way around the system. I dont know how to rectify this, but perhaps some of the iconography could be made clearer? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
IQM has supported our company to transition from a legacy document control system using shared folders and excel trackers to a more streamlined system. The system allows us to capture the relevant approvals required to comply with our regulatory requirements, whilst making documentation easily accessible.
The system is used on a daily basis and was easy to upload active documents. We have been able to easily integrate the system with our existing procedures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The support with IQM is minimal and a lot of effort is required around the build. SSO integration has been challenging due to integration issues but this has been supported by IQM tech team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Everything is linked together in one application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Printing reports isn't the easiest thing to learn through the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The user interface and experince is easy and understandable. You get a good overview and the GUI is modern looking, which makes it more affordable to proces. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can't really think of anything. Maybe the frequency of which reminders are sent. Sometimes receiving a new certificate is out of my hands. Here it would be nice to postpone reminders, instead of receiving them every second or third day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
