Howamigoing helps Ops Leaders achieve profitable growth with its light-weight people development platform. Ranked #21 in the UK Startups 100 list, Howamigoing's beautiful software uses best-practice design and psychology principles, to ensure employees get quality feedback from their team all year round. This is achieved through a unique feature set forged through rigorous employee feedback: 1) Ask me anything - where anybody can send an anonymous question to anyone else in the business, and responses can be private or public. 2) Good vibes - where anybody can send public recognition to anybody else. 3) Private feedback - where anybody can request feedback from anyone else, with the responses visible only to the person soliciting feedback. This covers pulse surveys, personal ad-hoc feedback requests and probation reviews. 4) 360 feedback - where groups of people gather feedback from their peers on similar sets of questions at the same time. What do you like best about Howamigoing?

What I really like about Howamigoing is that it’s really clean - really easy to test and try it out. We looked at many other platforms, but Howamigoing won because of the UX/UI, that’s important for this area– and being integrated with Personio is a real bonus. What do you like best about Howamigoing?

Intuitive, Design has clearly been a priority the whole way through, from the humour to the functionality. Purely designed around feedback, rather than trying to teach. Also has a trial period long enough to make it worthwhile trying! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes the software seems to stall and something may not save or function. Maybe it just requires a refresh, I don't know. Great service and support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are solving the disconnect that comes without asking when you transition to remote work or hybrid environment and the chances of seeing people physically diminish. What do you like best about Howamigoing?

The platform is very easy to get started with and people actually enjoy using features like AMA's. We've found from prior vendors adoption of HR solutions across all departments has been an on-going struggle - With Howamigoing's UI there's been far less friction :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing comes to mind - I suppose we'll need to keep using the platform and try to poke some holes in it over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Keeps things very simple, positively focused, individuals choose their reviewers (apart from mandatory manager), very straightforward to complete, the results are delivered quickly in a clear and accessible format, feedback questions are tailored to the business, people like the anonymity - liberating and engenders much more open and honest feedback which in turn is highly valued, taken very seriously Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Howamigoing?

I can't think of anything I dislike - some of the gifs take a little getting used to but that's probably a generational thing! My concern is that they could slightly trivialise the process - in addition to its simplicity, transparency, quirkiness, it is a serious, grown up, constructivly focused process, taken more seriously than old style performance management review processes. It encourages and delivers honest feedback that people trust - perceptions will probably depend on sector, demographics and business style but for me it's progressive and the way forward to meaningful engagement Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We were keen to find an alternative feedback process to the traditional assessment based performance review/management process - ie a process for responsible, professional, collaborative adults that would be appropriate for a small start up developing pioneering technology - Howamigoing jumped off the page, unique in its approach, language, principles, style and ethos, developing all the time as it grows, responds to customer feedback and market changes. The great thing is that it is an iterative process, with inbuilt agility which suits a progressive start-up in particular but any business large or small would benefit. What do you like best about Howamigoing?

The concept - it is an amazing way to encourage critical feedback as well as praise within teams. I believe that this platform allows our company to speak in an open yet constructive manner and allows individuals to reach out for additional feedback that is often a lot more intersectional than the standard internal team reviews or 1-1 meetings with a manager. I would say a downside is that the resource is not used as much as it could be. Perhaps an expansion of the platform could be the ability to also host other activities, related to its original intention. What do you like best about Howamigoing?

I feel like often people don't ask for feedback because it feels confrontational and requires a degree of vulnerability. Howamigoing allows people to ask for feedback and receive it anonymously. The pre-set templates are great as a prompt and allow the asking process to be quick and hassle free. Whenever we've spoken with Howamigoing they've always been so receptive to new ideas and suggestions, it really feels like a collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Howamigoing?

We're very happy with the service but as an admin user I'd like the ability to see something like a 'feedback score' for employees, so that if someone is never participating it would be good to address why that may be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Howamigoing solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest problem it's solved for us has been allowing people from different departments and levels to seek honest feedback. Generally if a director were to ask a manager or executive for feedback it might not be honest as the temptation would be to not criticise someone in that position. Howamigoing is a holistic feedback platform. This means that it isn't just for reviews... it is for asking people across the business questions for better communication, it is about being able to gather your own feedback, it is about being able to send and receive recognition. It now integrates with slack which is great so you can receive notifications when you receive feedback, recognition or one of your questions is answered. You then need to go into the platform to read it.
