With the HG Insights Platform, we provide insights into tech intelligence like technologies currently in use, granular IT spend and contract intelligence so you prioritize your best prospects and accounts and identify the companies with the highest propensity to buy in every market you operate in. HG Insights’ Market Intelligence enables you to understand the size, shape, and structure of your markets to identify your best opportunities, size markets by IT spend, tech installs, and other customizable criteria, analyze vendor penetration and share to find threats, allocate resources more efficiently, and find opportunities for displacement.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Traditional sales and market intelligence providers use different methods for collecting their information, including phone surveys, digital scraping, and data modeling, each with its own limitations. Phone surveys are time consuming and don’t scale well. Scraping code off a website is easy, but also picks up legacy information that is no longer accurate, and it doesn’t give you information on technology that doesn’t leave a digital footprint. Modeling is fast, but because it doesn’t use complete data sets, it tends to produce inconsistent results.

At HG Insights, we take a different approach to gathering, processing and curating business intelligence. We use advanced data science and our own proprietary IP to process billions of structured and unstructured documents scale. We then use automated and human validation to constantly refine and ensure the accuracy of our data sets. What do you like best about HG Insights?

HG has everything in it. Dozens of spend categories and reliable account data. I found the team to be very responsive to us which I appreciated. The platform itself is easy and the DAAS was a good feature. The score was a bit of a black box, but in general we liked the components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HG Insights?

I found the hierarchies difficult to use because you could not export the data. We did not have a daily integration with our CRM, because it was too expensive. Having the ability to see what accounts own already and what they spend on software to help segment and determine opportunities. Building your own score based on custom ratings is really nice. What do you like best about HG Insights?

HG Insights has become such an integral part of my work that I cannot imagine doing any sort of strategic analysis or market research without it. HG's data provides value across the company to numerous departments including sales, marketing, CS, business development, executive leadership, and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HG Insights?

While the data is stellar, the platform isn't fully mature, and we have bumped up against some capability limitations there. Data is high quality and best on the market for "back end" data center technologies in which HG's data gathering methods shine.
