HALO programs are flexible. Have used them for the last two companies I've worked for. Good gift selection that employees really like. There are also other programs HALO offers to help companies with other large or small recognition programs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about HALO is how nice it is to have service awards for our employees be automated and done for us. The representative that helps us is also wonderful. She is quick to respond, knowledgeable, and very helpful! And nice, which always helps :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issue I have run into is when the HALO system tells me someone is not in the system but I do the complete set up of adding them and then the HALO system tells me they already exist. But; we have our representative and I am able to contact her and she figures it out somehow! This only happens about 3 out of 10 times though so it's not too much of an issue, just slightly time consuming every once in a while. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of sending Kudos and e-cards to employees. It is easy to recognize our employees. They also provide our employees with the single sign on ability, so they can easily recognize any of their fellow co-workers with a click of a few buttons. The HALO team responds to requests within 48 hours and their team members spread across the world and very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is not user-friendly for many reasons, it is very slow, there are major lags whenever a report is pulled, there is no main dashboard for administrators to view their team, new team members are manually added in every month which is a major delay, and there is no easy way to view nominations and their comments. When we want to send a mass kudos to celebrate all of our employees, it takes the HALO team a few weeks to get this out. This long delay limits are ability to use the mass kudos feature because a lot of things happen in the now. Overall, the system is very slow and there is no easy way to see the amount of kudos/points a team member has or a way to assign them a pin to congratulate them. Everyone with MCFina has always been quick with their responses, and very friendly! First, they send out email reminders so there is no way I would forget to give them employee information on time. I just have to submit a quarterly listing of all employees who are to receive a magic box, and MC Fina does the rest. Employees also like that they can pick out their own gifts on their own time. It's easy for them to use and they have a nice variety of choices for them to choose from! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't have any downsides, it's a great program! However sometimes the managers want to see a full length catalog and a list of all the prices associated with each gift. I know there is one online they can browse, but it doesn't tell me the price range for each set of gifts that we offer. For example, the 5 year anniversary gifts should have a price range, and we can't easily tell what that is. It would be nice to have a full list of the price ranges and then have the gifts listed. Sometimes managers want to be sure someone receives their full money's worth, and I think that would be very helpful. I think it would be nice to have online administrator access in some capacity also. That way if someone terminates or resigns, I can quickly go in and update the record online rather than relying on remembering on my own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The system is easy and user-friendly. Our managers can put in a request and then verified by HR staff for accuracy. Once the order is place it is shipped directly to that manager for delivery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
