I've had Grammarly Pro for a few years. I initially got it for my family history stories, but I find it so handy for emails and other things too. I need it for grammar corrections. It's many years since I learned grammar, and am rusty about its many rules. I love the suggestions for more concise language and better ways to put ideas across. It helps in composing, especially sensitive topics. I use it most days as it has so many features. Easy to use. It's so helpful in many ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's hard to think of what I don't like about Grammarly. Perhaps not having to click as much to review some suggestions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The pro suggestion feature that improves my story and essays is changing the structure and wording of my writing to improve my story and best express my points. I also like the summarizing tool for shortening a paragraph because it also helped me write this review professionally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside that comes to mind is the style guide feature being a bit obnoxious. I like the feature a lot, but I would like for the style guide to have its own count of suggestions besides the total document suggestion count, and preferably, the suggestion guide would be better if it would be only noticeable when you have the specific category active. The best things about Grammarly is that it helps me with the real time grammar, spelling and sentence formation while writing mails or reports.
As well as it suggests good enhancement of the content when writing mails and report according to the content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some things which I dislike about grammarly is that iits dependence on internet as without internet it won't be able to suggest any corrections. Other dislike will be its high subscription cost as in free version it only provides basic features and their is no accessibility to advanced features for free version. Makes my posts and comments look smarter in an easy way (unlike AI services where I should copy/paste text, ask to improve and then copy/paste text back). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes mobile app freezes, doesn't react on taps. Which is worse, it always refuses to improve my comments on political topics, while I write a lot on political issues, so the app is useless.
In this case I'm looking for an assistance of different AI services, which do their job well. So why to pay for Grammarly?
Besides this. when I'm using Grammarly or AI, I become dependent on them, while it would be better to learn language by myself.
Summing up: I have an annual subscription but don't see enough advantages of Grammarly to continue my further subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how easy it is to download across various platforms (Word, Google, Email, etc.). I love that once downloaded, it just starts working. It gives great sentence reconstructions based on the tone you want to convey and catches spelling and grammatical errors. It makes it easier for me to focus on the content of what I'm writing rather than the little editing errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Because my profession is in the animal welfare field, I use a lot of words (that are actual words) that Grammarly sometimes thinks are misspelled or used incorrectly. Luckily it's pretty easy to add these words and phrases to my "dictionary", but it is an extra step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like the best about Grammarly is its ability to allow you to write better and more easily. This has allowed me to answer emails more professionally and without issues. I highly recommend this tool to anyone. I also was able to open it on my phone, so it's available to me on a desktop as well as my phone. I have been able to implement it in my daily communication with my team. It is very easy to use and has no issues. I use this tool frequently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing I dislike. This is a great tool, and I'm happy I purchased it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Grammarly communicates with almost every app I use. I love being able to type into any of the apps I regularly use, including Google Docs, and constant contact with the security of a Grammarly checkup in my back pocket. I use it daily, hourly, heck, by the minute! It's a time saver and peace of mind giver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish it worked with Canva. As someone who uses Canva frequently, I would love for it to be better integrated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how easy Grammarly is to use. I use both the website version and the desktop app. The app is great for day-to-day usage, and I find it easy to use. It highlights the text quickly, shows any errors, and offers handy writing tips. The online version is excellent, too, and I sometimes use that to write out long text blocks and check them for mistakes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't much I dislike about Grammarly. Sometimes, it will try to amend the text in a way that changes the meaning, which I dislike, but for the most part, it is a good tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like about Grammarly is that it can easily be like YOU. Grammarly can easily adapt your thoughts by suggesting prompts based on the excerpt you just inputted. It's AI + YOU so it's really powerful. Powerful enough that it can make you look really smart with only a few single clicks. It can help you bring out the thoughts that you have difficulty expressing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As of the moment, I don't have any downsides for usingGrammarly but what I can suggest is that I hope it can have different tones for different languages around the world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am thrilled that I can use Grammarly with my team so we have high level and professional writing across the board. It helps my staff, some of whom are strong communicators but terrible at spelling. I don't time to get annoyed. Instead, I can be confident that they are building strong sentences, using words appropriately and spelling them the correct way for our country. Sometimes I get into a little battle with Grammarly over certain ways of phrasing things but in the end, I have a better piece of writing. WHat was originally annoying to me has resulted in me better understanding my own writing flaws. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
