What do you like best about Grammarly?

I use Grammarly daily for both my business and my personal communication. It's like having an English Professor looking over my shoulder, helping me with the basics, such as grammar and spelling, and providing options for expressing my thoughts with greater clarity and precision. It was easy to install, and the wizard guided me step-by-step through the process. I was up and running within minutes. Having been a user for several years, I have never once had a need to contact Customer Support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

I will be editing a document, and Grammarly does not always recognize that I have the Pro version. I have the software downloaded on my device (Win 10), as well as the Chrome extension. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm not great at typing and "fat finger" keys, leading to spelling and grammatical errors. I can complete a thought knowing that my typo's can be easily rectified at the press of the button. Then I consider the helpful suggestions offered by Gramamrly to improve the quality of my thought. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?

I started using Grammarly as a writing assistant tool to correct my grammar and comma use. Now, I depend on it more than ever. Working in higher education, I use it to check students' work for plagiarism, and it is always correct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Grammarly?

Grammarly has been a key instrument in my editing and writing business. While it is not the "end-all-be-all" for me, as I do prefer to finalize my content from a human intelligence level, it has helped to jumpstart my tasks each day. I appreciate its accuracy and ease of use as a extension of several of the medias I work with, including Chrome, Word, Adobe, and Google Docs. The AI help with writing, while I do not use this on a regular basis, has become an easier way for me to find applicable synonyms for improved writing, so I don't have to open another tab for a thesaurus. Overall, Grammarly has decreased my time spent looking for errors in content and let's me spend more time with my creative writing tasks! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

Grammarly does not work well across multiple monitors. It is also not always accurate and does not recognize the repetitive style of a writer and consistently suggests changes that could be ignored if it had this capability. For example, I work with text from one client who never uses the Oxford comma, but Grammarly will always flag to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?

Grammarly easily identifies misspelled words, and even though I excel at this, I can always miss one here or there, so I appreciate this quick function. It also provides suggested versions of sentences, and while I don't always accept the suggestion, it's efficient to be able to read another way to write something to give me a moment of thoughtfulness to decide if I want to change it. What do you like best about Grammarly?

Being able to make preset rules and style guidelines makes editing content more efficient and less time-consuming. The rephrase prompt option is also beneficial for tasks like alphabetizing lists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

The AI isn't perfect, and I don't expect it to be. That said, it's understood that another set of eyes and additional reviews are necessary with any kind of AI assistant. I have gotten some funny, nonsensical suggestions, though.

I also have a hard time using Grammarly in Word documents. I use it regularly in most of my other applications without issue, though.

I haven't had to use customer support yet, which should speak to the quality of the product. Most of the quirks like odd suggestions, work themselves out with a quick refresh. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?

It cuts out time consuming or tedious tasks like alphabetizing or rephrasing and allows me to focus on the meat of the content. The multiple suggestions it offers also allow me to discern for myself what the best steps forward are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Grammarly?

I find that utilizing Grammarly is an essential tool to managing a Communications and Marketing department. Working in the nonprofit sector, we have a lot of things we're balancing at once, and having Grammarly installed is completely changing our workflow. It's easy to get started with and customer support is a huge help in making sure we know how to manage the platform. We use Grammarly every day, and it's easy to implement and integrate into your team. There's so much I feel like we would miss if we didn't utilize the several features Grammarly has to our benefit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

Some of the suggestions don't always match the voice we're striving for, so it's important to always read the suggestions rather than blindly accept them. I think some folks might run into trouble if they assume Grammarly is just going to always get the right tone or wording down without any human involvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?

Grammarly solves our need to be able to create original copy daily at a high pace and quantity without spending unnecessary time going through multiple stages of proofreading. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Grammarly?

Grammarly has helped me tremendously in my planning and instruction time as a high school English Language Arts classroom. The fact that both my students and I have access to this fantastic tool assists my students who struggle with grammar application, whether they are writing a short constructed response or responding to analytical questions. The ease of connecting this tool with Google Chrome enhances the use of Grammarly and allows for ease in completing tasks. There is no work day that goes by when I am not utilizing Grammarly in some way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

I believe some features available in the paid subscription that should be offered for free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?

Grammarly assists me in communicating effectively and sharpening up my own specific grammar skills/application. I am a high school English Language Arts teacher and having Grammarly as another tool has made specific aspects of my profession easier. For example, if I have to send an email to a parent or school administrator, I will always use Grammarly while proofreading my message before it is sent out. My students also regularly use the free version of Grammarly while working on various classroom tasks or assignments. The use of Grammarly is a non-negoltiable, especially when I am providing feedback on my students' writing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Grammarly?

I had initially used the Grammarly free version as I did not see value in the paid version a few years ago. Since introducing their AI functions and enhancements has been a game changer for me. I use it both as a student and in my professional writing. While spell check is still good, it is limited only to the suit of tools that have it built in. I love that Grammarly can work in any window that I open and even help me shorten text when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

Sometimes, I have run into some challenges with some of the features not working, which can be challenging. Additionally being able to move the G bubble doesn't always go where I would like it, but this isn't a huge deal breaker for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a neurodiverse learner I sometimes get stuck in my writing. Other AI tools are too obvious when using them. I have found the AI tool not only helps with making a sentence more clear, but also allows me to proofread without having to go back and re-read everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Grammarly?

It's a great way to correct grammar issues as I write (I've used it on five novels so far). I love how it highlights grammar to fix immediately, and then you can dive deeper for more suggestions. It's also nice to have its support when posting on social media and in emails. I use both the Windows and Word versions of the software and it was easy to set up and sign in. It also runs well at sea with weak connectivity. I love the weekly summaries of how much I have written and the top issues. As an author, that's good motivation. It's well worth the cost. I use it for hours every day with no issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

It can be hard to tweak it for specific writing genres, but they are fairly minor issues. It also sometimes forgets that I have told it to ignore a suggestion. I like to get to zero listed issues so that bugs me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?

It lets me focus on the story and not the grammar. Fixing grammar as I go makes it easier for me to write and lessens the review cycles later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Grammarly?

After watching most of the ads about Grammarly, I tried it for writing formal emails & security blogs on medium. I will state its few top notch features according to my daily use:

1. You can set "Goals" for you content which includes the target domain, your intent, target audience, level of formality, etc.

2. Review Suggestions is great & provide some really viable suggestions to change. I even notices a single comma as well.

3. Its Check for AI Text & Plagiarism feature which helps me humanizing my content when i generate it from AI.

4. Setting up the desired English language as preference like American English, British English, etc.

It has more useful features for professionals, such as writing citations & Writing with generative AI.

Easy to use & integrate via extensions & Add-Ins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

Not any major issue but In Review suggestions, sometimes it just keep changing word relatively instead of changing the full sentence itself. For ex., In a sentence it will change or remove a word, then after doing the change/remove it will again suggest me to change another word in same sentence. I want instead of doing this, Grammarly suggest me to change the full sentence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use to write security related blogs on Medium platform. I think that having grammatical mistakes in the content disappoints my reader. So, after using Grammarly on daily basis, my content engagement have been improved a lot now. Also, I am now using its AI text & Plagiarism detecter for checking my content created for official & formal work & deliverables. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Grammarly?

Grammarly has been helpful in improving my writing. My job involves a lot of writing and I use Grammarly to improve the sentence structure and tone of my writing. It is also easy to use the Grammarly app in my emails and word processing software, both word and pages as I toggle between softwares when writing. I use it daily, even when I use my Gmail account. I like the new AI suggestions that help to improve some of the phrasing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grammarly?

Sometimes the suggestions made my Grammarly dehumanises the communication as it looks to shorten certain phrases. I feel that the "tone" feature doesn't really reflect the tone accurately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?

Grammarly is helping me improve my writing. It helps me write in a more concise manner. Being able to write more directly helps with email communication as most people don't have time to read lengthy emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
