The integration between Zego and Rent Manager is a game changer when it comes to tenant payments. We have a high volume of units, and the tenant web access portal/Zego integration has saved us so much time processing physical check payments. We have integrated the option of a lockbox as well, and we have not been as satisfied with how payments are decisioned on the Zego side. There are a lot of inconsistancies with how payments are approved/rejected by the Zego/Check + Alt team each month. This is frustrating and slows down the process. We also wish there was a way to use the Zego check scanner to deposit miscellaneous checks (not attached to a tenant ledger). We'd like to be able to eliminate our bank specific check scanners by using the Zego scanner to deposit any checks to be recorded directly to the deposit table, and we can create our journals as needed to report back to the bank register/GL. An amazing product offering customers the time-saving ability to make payments & manage their accounts online. It works seamlessly with Rent Manager & allows payments to be processed in-house as well, for those customers that prefer talking to a person, or aren’t as comfortable with online technology. There’s not much to dislike. There have been a few instances of payments showing as being declined because of an error, but then a customer will call back later with evidence that the payment did go through. We use Zego mobile doorman at the property I am at and it's great to remove the burden of manually scheduling clubroom reservations, guest suites, and other items. allowing residents to self-schedule items while still being able to track which charges we need to apply for rooms makes it an easier process.
Making it so that there was only 1 mobile doorman in the app store, instead of different companies' "versions" makes it easy to integrate with our Yardi system and not struggle to log in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We had to turn on "request to reserve" because we weren't receiving notifications of reservations being made, which meant we didn't know when to apply charges for rooms and whatnot. It seems like now residents are having trouble making any reservations, which is putting the burden back on the already small onsite team.
There has been an increase in difficulties with logging into the portal, which requires IT tickets. The turn-around time has not been the quickest, which is needed in a high-demand environment like property management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Working with student housing it helps having a platform that intergrates well with our resident portal for residents and guarantors to submit payments. We are a small non-profit who continues to expand without hiring new staff. Using zego helped to reduce the foot traffic in the office and helped keep tenants honest about when payments were made and how can offer moe payment options. High service charges on one-time payments get a lot of complaints. I know the goal is to redirect customers to Auto-pay methods to save money. Not always practical depending on the nature of business transaction. Difficult for parents who don't always have access to portal. Tons of confusion but thankfully, we are able to take money orders on occassion. Several nasty phone calls related to limited options on making payments when having difficulty navigating the payment options. SHOULD be obvious, but they struggle. Lastly, there seems to be a substantial amount of duplicate auto-pays that can draft simultaneously. Not sure if you already have this, but if possible, please alert residents/guarantors when they already have an existing auto-pay and set up a new one. Zego has allowed our building to be a true community with the resident bulletin board, while also allowing us to assist our residents in a quick and timely manner. Residents love communicating with our concierge team 24/7 with the chat feature as well as reserving amenities. Everything is in one centralzied place allowing residents to find what they need with ease. Overall we have been realy satisfied with both the app and integration process. I do wish there was a way to reserve amenities a lot quicker, if there was an approve button or if it was just a little more user friendly from a staff perspective as well as post a charge for the event to the residents portal. There are many benefits to the zego family of products, the level of integration with leading PMS companies is a large one. We have been clients of Zego's Paylease platform since 2013 and their Mobile Doorman platform since 2017, the growth and advancements to their products have been wonderful. They continue to expand the integrations into more areas and subsequently support more API's making for a more cohesive experience for our teams and residents. Less foot traffic in the office due to it mnimizing the need for tenants to use money orders as form of payment. Less risk of theft or lost money orders. Zego allows for quick payments from residents. This is useful when we have over 2000 people paying rent a month. Zego also post directly to our financial system which is very helpful. The website is very simple to use and allows for quick block, refund, etc. There are so many option with Zego, rather you use them all or not, this system is very useful.
