Easy to use.  It is good to see all contract information in one place shared by the general contractor and the subcontractor

I do not like that the subcontractor is unable to bill for extra work performed when the general contractor is dragging their feet to issue a change order

I no longer have to email multiple pages of a billing invoice and lien waiver

It’s very user-friendly, with simple steps and all the documents I need. I can complete pay apps in under a minute, whereas other platforms take much more time.

The task lists don’t purge properly. Some items get handled offline, but they still remain on the task list for months.

I only recently noticed that I can view open jobs instead of all jobs.

Dashboard is definitely the most helpful. Takes me directly to what needs to be approved and clearly outlines what it is.

Integration. But I think those permissions vary by company so I dont think its a GC Pay Issue as much as it is intercompany permissions issue.

Getting billing information collected on time from my subs so I can bill the customer confidently and quickly.

I love that GCPay keeps all of our billings in one place and is very user friendly. The Customer Support chat function is great and they are always quick to respond.

I dislike that not every contractor uses GCPay to keep billings, waivers, and compliance documents all in one place.

GCPay solves the issue of having billings and waivers emailed and potentially getting lost in the shuffle. It's great that all parties can see an audit trail and get notifications when items are due.

No downsides as the users interface is really easy to use and understand!

There is actually nothing that I don't like about GCPay everything is convenient and easy to use.

The current problems that GCPay is solving it the ease of submitting pay applications to the General Contractors.  The reminders or notifications to submit the waivers is simple and easy to get submitted.

Updates to required affidavit's in our state. GCPay has always provided great customer service.

I have not had the chance to look into the retention in GCPay and in vista working out a few issues.

They were able to give us a field for the subs to enter their own invoice number and always provide great customer service.

I dislike some of the customization in how the data is displayed. I would like to create my own templates for how the data is displayed.

It is solving the issue of having everything in a spreadsheet, and it benefits me by taking out the human factor and errors associated.

So far I have not encountered any dislike.

This is not really relevant.  I am required to use this system per the GC for my project.

I like that the software covers a lot of required communication needs for various tasks, like waivers and pay apps.

Exporting documents that contain multiple file types is difficult. Example: when exporting pay apps and excels.

Communication with our subcontractors, and logging those communications. It makes it easy to call someone out that we did send the info.

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

It is very user friendly. and much easier to navigate than many of the other 3rd party portals.  I love the summary at the bottom when entering an invoice. It's just super easy to use especially once you have a couple of jobs.  I use the portal at least two to three times per week and prefer it over all the others.  I've also been very impressed with their Customer Support, very helpful and knowledgeable and always follow through.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

If I had to list one thing that I wasn't fond of it would have to be adding users to jobs.  It seems a little more complicated than necessary. The options when giving users job permissions should be clearer.

Its great to be able to go to one place to see all of your invoices, It makes AIA billing much easier.

I’d give GCPay a solid 9 out of 10. It really makes the pay application process smoother and more organized. I like how easy it is to track compliance documents, lien waivers, and approvals all in one place.  The interface is pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it, though onboarding took a little time. Overall, it’s a huge time-saver and definitely helps keep everything on track during the billing cycle.

GCPay is great for pay app submission and compliance and lien waiver tracking. Everything is stored in one easy-to-use platform and with project specific requirements, you're guaranteed to get all the documentation you need from subs. The customer service team is amazing! They are so nice and quick to help with any questions.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

There aren't always the viewing/sorting capabilities that I'd prefer, but it's a minor issue.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have to process all pay application by hand. Ensuring every line item was scheduled for the correct amount, there was no overbilling, every sub was compliant for project requirements, etc. Now, GCPay does that for us! The set SOVs are great for pay app submission because they can't change once approved and there's no chance for overbilling. It's also great to know that a subcontractor can't even submit a pay app until all compliance and document requirements have been met.

On your feedback about email volume, that’s helpful to hear. When multiple steps like billing, approvals, and waiver signing are all active, notifications can add up quickly. In many cases, those alerts are configurable depending on workflow preferences, so it may be worth reviewing settings or connecting with Support if you want help fine-tuning that.
