invoice management is great. Seamless when on the platform. Web-based for easy access.

It does not integrate that smoothly with our ERP. It took a while to learn the proper way to use the system with our accounting software.

**What do you like best about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

I like that Textura does not allow math mistakes! The system will not allow you to move to the next step if the SOV does not balance to the contract amount or if a sub attempts to overbill. Similarly, it does not allow a sub to bill for unapproved change orders etc, before they have been entered.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

So far, I have not found anything to dislike about the software. A couple of times a year, I have a challenge with a sub not understanding the value in paying for the service offered. But that is more of a PR thing than functionality.

**What problems is Oracle Textura Payment Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because the system does all the math for the sub (and thus the GC) a HUGE amount of time is saved in not having to check the math on a paper payapp line by line. Also, not having all that paper (or a thousand emails with digital payapps) really keeps the clutter down and makes for fool proof filing.

I like Textura overall...It doesn't allow you to make errors...It is like one-stop shopping for submitting my invoicing, waivers including from subcontractors...It makes my payments more automatic that I can depend on when I will collect. I wish all my clients used Textura...

You have to know what you are doing...Textura can be tricky to learn...If you don't use it every day, you can forget what you are doing...The good thing is Oracle support, which will walk you through it all.

It would help if you learned as much as you can before you start using the system.

**What problems is Oracle Textura Payment Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do my construction project invoicing through Textura...I follow a Schedule of Values for inputting...Other projects outside of Textura require paper billing forms and supporting documents to be filled out and submitted. Paper submittals is a much lengthier process than Textura.

**What do you like best about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

I value the ability to be transparent with subcontractors and the instant communication when draws need to be revised. A time saver when reviewing and releasing payments with the click of a few buttons.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

The only downside is dealing with subs that are not used to any kind of online billing system. This is easily solved by walking them through the process a few times - which Textura will do if the subs call them direct.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle Textura Payment Management:**

I recommend setting up a job as a template for each of your coordinators/compliance managers. When these are set up and a compliance hold is coming up, the email the sub gets includes the name and email for the person they need to contact.

**What problems is Oracle Textura Payment Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest issue we were having before Textura was scanning and indexing waivers. I love having all the paperwork related to the draw / job in one spot without having to scan or index it all. Using Textura is akin to having a full time person working on monthly draws, payment release and scanning.

Oracle Textura Payment Management allows our company to easily manage vendor invoicing, approval/rejection, and payments.  Their system also syncs with our CMiC software to ensure efficient up-to-date information.

Vendor customer support has improved over the last few years, but could still use improvement.

Invoice errors have dropped dramatically, and we no longer have to cut so many checks.  Textura has saved us time on a daily basis.

**What do you like best about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

I like that with TPM I no longer have to review subcontractor payment applications for math errors anymore.  It's impossible to make a math error with the software.  I also like that TPM posts my invoices to my accounting system automatically.  This saves me hours every month as well as saves hours for people in my finance department.  We can also finally pay our subcontractors electronically.  Without TPM we pay subs with a paper check.  Lastly, waiver collection is much easier since TPM does all of the collection work for us.  I used to have to collect waivers via an email I sent to every subcontractor every month and play the waiting game.  I no longer have to do this.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

My team complains about the number of emails they get.  I realize I can turn some emails off but I haven't found a good balance of emails my team should receive and emails I should shut off.  

I still find that I have to remind my team to do their reviews but I'm not sure that's a TPM problem.

**What problems is Oracle Textura Payment Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've solved the problem of errors in our subcontractor billings and in our owner billings.  I actually had a new client (that we are hoping to get additional work from) tell me that they really appreciated the consistency and accuracy of my billings.  We were able to provide a clean billing including Conditional Waivers that the owner decided they wanted with the package.

We've also solved the issue of subcontractors adding change orders to an invoice without approval.  TPM will not allow for it.  We are saving time since we no longer haven to audit our billings for these surprise change orders.

We can pay subs electronically after we have been cutting paper checks since the beginning of time.  I've actually had subs request electronic payments in the past and we were not able to do it.

Waiver collection has been an issue before Textura.  I used to manually request waivers every month through an email to every subcontractor.  I would have to keep a log of the waivers I needed and then I would have to wait to receive them back.  Sometimes that could take weeks.  With TPM I'm getting every waiver I need 72 hours after payment is released and there's no more emailing or checking logs.  Again, another time saver.

TPM is also saving our finance department time.  Since Textura automatically posts are Accounts Payable record after approval, there is no longer a need to have finance post invoices.  

In general the time we are saving on menial tasks like checking math, collecting waivers and posting invoices can now be spent on more important tasks like forecasting and cash management.  In addition to the time we are saving on these types of tasks we are also saving time on our team reviews.  There's no longer a need to have a review meeting with the team.

**What do you like best about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

Textura is easy to use once it is used on a regular basis.  Its great for collecting sub contractor billings and is essential for our wavier collections.

After using Textura, the pros out weigh any cons.   I can honestly say I would not want to do my job without Textura.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

I dislike the process for subs to sign up.  The subs seem to have issues with the Oracle log in, then the process to get into Textura.  The oracle piece should be taken away.  When things are pressing, this is an unnecessary hurdle for the users on all sides of the process.  The customer service overall has improved.  It is still a frustration how long it can take for custom products.  Also, Textura seems to over promise on the front end on what the actual customer service provided will be to clients / users.    I cannot stress enough Oracle needs removed from the process of using Textura.  Typically the client of Textura is providing 70-80% of the customer service not the Textura call center.

Data collection is the greatest tool for Textura.  Items can be collected easily and in an organized fashion.

It's user friendly and we have very good service in English and in French (Quebec, Canada)

The interface is only in English and some of our users are not compfortable with it (our French users and Sub Trades).

What we do is transparent with our Sub Trades.  As GC, we have control over the extras to be billed (they can't be billed if we haven't authorized them).  Transactions are signed electronicallly (no more exchange of documents in person).

Textura has allowed us to have subcontractors submit consistent and accurate monthly RFPs, which allows us to review and approve in one system.  This process has saved quite a bit of time each month for our project accountants and project managers by reducing the back and forth with emails and having multiple RFPs being sent by subcontractors to be approved.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

Moving from page to page can sometimes be difficult, however once learning what page to be on for each step, the process is straight forward.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle Textura Payment Management:**

If you are considering using Textura, I would recommend receiving a demo from Textura to learn and see how each feature in the system can improve the payment process.  From creating a schedule of values, submitting a RFP for review and approval, having each compliance met and finally payment.

We are solving the mathematical errors on RFPs, as well as making sure all documents are signed and submitted.  Many times before using Textura subcontractors RFPs would not be accurate because they are submitting their RFPs manually which creates errors in the billing.  Also, many times signatures would be left off documents or documents wouldn't be fully completed before submitting, and both of these issues are no longer a problem with using Textura.

There is absolutely NOTHING that I like about this program.
The price that we have to pay to get our money from the contractor is outrageous.

The sign up and login are very lengthy and confusing. 
Logins won't work sometimes.
The Contractor that made us use this is terrible.
Fees for using this were outrageous!
And a Very Considerable amount of time is wasted over just handing in an invoice.
I have to write another invoice for accounting purposes anyways, so I am doing things twice in the end.

None. Creating more work and problems. Not getting solutions for anything in our company's everyday operations.

Make sure to communicate to your account rep specific needs/wants so they are able to help guide you in the best way possible through the  process. Know the setup is the hardest and after that it is simple and routine.

The ease for Subcontractors to input their billings and documents online and for the General Contractor to view, approve and disburse funds within the system. It is convenient to see all the records in Oracle Textura.

In response we've benefited from the tools Textura provides to mitigate and in most cases prevent these issues.

Transparency with subs.  Everyone looking and seeing the same thing.

Workflow and Roles work well globally, but we have had to make some changes to our internal processes to fit the software.

**What problems is Oracle Textura Payment Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a better subcontractor draw process with Textura.  We are more efficient.  We are able to have better/easier conversations with our subs since we are both looking and seeing the same things.  We are able to pay quicker and receive waivers quicker than we were without Textura.

I don't like anything about this service.  It is complicated, not user friendly, and the customer service help is horrible.

Everything.  This service is horrible, complicated, VERY TIME CONSUMING, and the customer service keeps you on hold for ever..

Don't use this software.  It expensive and will be a huge waste of time.

Textura is the problem.  We have seen no benefit at all.

Development using OTPM is reasonable. I liked the automate notification. Salesforce integration as we are big user of salesforce and wanted this service to be integrated with our current systems.,

Looking forward to integrate with other system. As a Salesforce platform analyst I am looking for more towards cloud based solutions outside oracle domain.

I am trying to integrate this to use in financial secotrs custom payment so that the sales people shall have better flexibility of payment process. also mobile option of it i am looking. still the POC in progress.

I like getting automatic reminders about draws due and disbursements that are ready. Also, like having electronic versions of all supporting paperwork in one place. Being able to sign all paperwork electronically and have an approver and a signor as separate roles and logins is good as well.

It's a bit hard to navigate,  editing draws is not self-explanatory.

**What do you like best about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

The best thing that I like about this software is it will allow me to disburse the payment only on one click. Apart from that it will also let me evaluate and check if we have received all the documents as in Conditional and unconditional waivers which are required to disburse the payment. Its well organized and we can inform all our vendors when we open a draw just by one click in the system. This will save the time of writing an email or personally talking to them.

The thing that I didn't like about this system is when we try to set up a new user it consumes time and some extra time however I believe that it is the reason for any software.

Like any other software what I recommend to all the users is to first learn the product all the features of the textura and what tricks and shortcuts you can learn to improve to your adaptability to the software. Apart from that, I would like to say that this is very user-friendly and make your life way easier.

The main business problem that we solve using Textura is that, paying for our contractors and subcontractors in the construction sector. Apart from that, we move from signing and mailing the conditional or unconditional waivers to signing them using oracle textura. .

**What do you like best about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

This my go to for anything money related within the agency. I love the fact that I can use this for pay systems. It’s improtant to us that we log everything and keep record of all payments specially to those of our own employees. This makes the entire process smooth and painless. 

**What do you dislike about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

The system itself is different and not exactly easy to navigate through. Some of the processes and phases are confusing and hard to get to. I spent a lot of time navigating and finding my way through. A more formal webex or live training on the system would be great.

Payment systems- commission tracking and payments to employees but also customers.

**What do you like best about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

What I liked best about Oracle Textura Payment Management was its ability to collaborate with all parties involved in a project. Each person can add input and keeps the team on task for what has been completed and what is still unfinished which helps to manage the and stay on track of each task and those assigned.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

I disliked that when you made an error on an entry you had to redo the entire entry. You don't have the flexibility to modify an entry and change the few items that had errors, you had to redo the entire entry which was extremely time consuming.

**What problems is Oracle Textura Payment Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the small little jobs that tend to slip through the cracks on invoicing which in the end tend to create either a way over budget problem or confusion about what has been billed verses what hasn't. We have realized working with Oracle that most jobs are being completed without being billed and then being asked to be done again because there is no closeout. Oracle was an excellent tool for us to streamline the process of managing projects start and end.

Liked the fact that the Textura SOV's matched completely and exactly up with the AIA billing formulas we had within RAM Construction.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Textura Payment Management?**

The retention withholding and the fact that you were only able to add line items/change orders when the customer released the ability to. Sometimes we would have a change order or new line item approved on both sides but the customer would not stay on their Textura entry and therefore it would affect our monthly billings.

If you are looking for a way to organize billing with you and your customers, Textura is definitely the path to follow. There is small room for human error due to the technology within the software itself and it gives you the ability to quickly and easily view older, newer, lower, higher, etc. billings all with the process of electronic storing and categorization.

The ability to have a universal way and software to bill from client to customer in the construction industry. The benefits are that there is little room for human error.

The accuracy of the system and it make communication easier by letting the parties know by just clicking one button from our side of the system. This also increases efficiency and unable the process payment method easier. Apart from the payment it also enables to declare waivers, release waivers by protecting both the parties involved.

Time to time system failures and error messages.

I like that it is easy to enter in the AIA amounts and that the SOV is update by the GC for any change orders.

The layout of the site can be confusing. if you aren't sent a link promoting you to do something, it can be hard to figure out where to go.

The GC doesn't need to contact each sub reminding them to submit invoices, textura does that for you.

There are challenges is getting sub contractor to perform the initial set up and training on billings. It can be overwhelming for small companies to submit billing through textura.
