What do you like best about Fullstory?

What do you like best about Fullstory?

Fullstory has become an essential tool for our team at Autodesk, spanning Product Managers, Designers, Analysts, and Engineers. It's been particularly impactful in diagnosing customer issues during new product launches, allowing us to 'walk in our customers' shoes.' The ability to see user sessions firsthand has significantly improved our understanding of friction points and identified key areas for improvement. We've quickly pinpointed and addressed issues, leading to smoother user experiences. Additionally, we're incredibly fortunate to have exceptional support from our enablement team of Jasmine and Liz. What do you dislike about Fullstory?

It would be great if FullStory had a chrome plug-in that allowed for heatmap visualizations directly our site without having to dive into the tool. We had this with the prior vendor we worked with. It is also fairly costly to track all of our site sessions with FullStory, so we settled on only 30% coverage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Fullstory?

Very helpful in showing what customers have done in our application and when. We use it frequently in our support, and it's very easy to see their actions to drill down the root cause. I also love the logs it provides, as they're helpful for Jira bug tickets. Having the ability to choose the playback speed as well as skipping activity toggled on and off is amazing, as well! What do you dislike about Fullstory?

I would like to be able to see the documents the customers are seeing within FS since we're able to log into the cutsomer organizations to see them anyway - it would be nice to just be able to review it during the FS videos.

I would like to see timezones within the times under the videos so we know exactly when the customer was doing their activities.

I would also like to be able to set how many seconds back to rewind. 7 seconds seems a bit arbitrary, and I'd love to configure anything from 1 to 60 seconds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Fullstory?

The most helpful thing about Fullstory is it enables me to view user sessions for our platform which speeds up the troubleshooting and to ensure we're not missing anything.

Fullstory gives me a way to verify user sessions on the platform to see what actions were taken especially when troubleshooting account issues and/or potential bugs. What do you like best about Fullstory?

Fullstory is super easy to use, it offers real time data which is super beneficial for the industry I work in, and the fact that we can see where users get stuck via recordings in real time as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fullstory?

the lack of chart differences available to users, and that we can't rename data within a particular event happening. At the moment, backdated abbreviated datapoints are only understandable for my manager and I only. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Fullstory solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have found flows where users get stuck in performing particular actions and failing, resulting in drop offs. Thanks to the realtime function of session replay, we have been able to spot issues immediately, and also resolving issues which we could not reproduce on our end. The dev tools in the session replay allow us to monitor certain errors that arise on the fly as well. What do you like best about Fullstory?

Not only do you get full video playback of what users do with all the searching and filtering tools you would want, but you also get a full suite of query tools to roll up that qual data into quantitative dashboards to see system health at a glance. It's become a core part of our business, and certainly our design and product function, mainly because of how easy it is to use (no easy feat given its complexity); getting the team to adopt it has been a cinch.

What's most impressive though is how fast it is while being so powerful. editing queries is easy because you can see results update in real time as you zero in on what you're looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fullstory?

Not a lot honestly. If pressed, I would say that as we get into the more advanced functionality, fullstory does ask you to put in the work to configure it. while it has a lot of tools to make this clear, giving fullstory an understanding of your site map and relevant company specific metadata is key. What do you like best about Fullstory?

What do you dislike about Fullstory?

Deceptive and punitive pricing and billing structures.

- FS has a clause burried in their terms saying that they require 60 day notice ahead of a renewal to cancel an auto-renewal. This is not publicized anywhere, nor something they gave notice for. When we wanted to cancel auto-renewal they blandly refused our request, and just pointed to this obscure term.

- Also they are now prohibitively expensive with extremely high minimums especially for small startup teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Fullstory?

Their customer service is fantastic - the team we work with is responsive, thorough, organized and a pleasure to work with. Rather than nickel and diming us for every minute of service hours spent, they are actually flexible and work with us like partners, understanding that project volume ebbs and flows in our business. They are also very welcoming about product feedback, and actually add my feedback to the roadmap so we're constantly seeing improvements on things we directly suggested! What do you dislike about Fullstory?

Not much to "dislike" but always room for improvement in any tool. I've provided some feedback on ways to improve minor features, but overall, they have the larger features that any organization would need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use adobe analytics as our primary digital analytics source, and fullstory allows us to fill in the gaps and understand things that we dont tag in adobe: The smallest of clicks are automatically tracked in Fullstory (we dont track every click in Adobe), error tracking is robust in fullstory, and we can also watch sessions to get a better idea of how customers are actually experiencing something. What do you like best about Fullstory?

Gives great, granular insights on user behaviour on your website. They have good training modules for introductory skills. Helpful customer support team who's happy to answer questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fullstory?

A bit difficult to level up beyond the introductory level. The training modules cover the basics and they've recently started a community space, but there's not a ton on it yet. What do you like best about Fullstory?

Please note this is an incentivized review, probably because I answered a question within FullStory asking 1-10 would I recommend, and I said 10 and meant it! So they sent me a link to g2. I know there are other similar products out there, and I'm a bit lost with their windows and screens, but the basic functionality that I've been using so far to monitor the launch of a new event registration system is just totally invaluable. It's like running a complete user study and so far for free. We are made significant improvements to the system that we wouldn't have thought of otherwise as we watch people struggling with our own stupid designs. Do the world a favor and use FullStory!
