Formstack for Salesforce offers an incredibly seamless integration that makes document generation, and form submissions effortless. The native experience ensures that data flows directly from Salesforce, eliminating manual entry and reducing errors. The flexibility in automating workflows, combined with robust customization options, allows for a smooth and efficient process. Their support team is also responsive and helpful when needed. While the platform is powerful, the learning curve can be steep when setting up more advanced automations or complex document merges. That said, once everything is set up correctly, it works reliably. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciate that Formstack allows me to collect data without a user logging into the system. It CAN reduce errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are several aspects of Formastack that are not ideal.
1) Look/Presentation- it is very difficult and time consuming to edit the form itself. Even with extensive editing the forms still do not look professional and I receive constant complaints about them. If you add a logo to your form, for example, it removes all of the previous corrections/adjustments to the form. Usually you can't see the adjustments in real time. You have to save them and then reload the page as a preview to see if your logo/font adjustments/etc. worked.
2) Ease of use-Formstack is not user friendly. Creating a form can be difficult and time consuming. If fields are not labeled properly it is nearly impossible figure out where the information will be collected. While I appreciate that I am able to send a link for the Formstack it would be helpful to have additional formats to pick from.
I am a daily user of Salesforce and Formstack. These issues are a pain point for me in my role and frustrating since the Formstack outside of Salesforce seems so much better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since our organization is Salesforce Centric it has been great having a form tool within SF that easily helps to collect form data and connect it to SF Accounts and Contacts. The mapping to SF standard objects is easy to set up for each form. Formstack has many features that allow us to build multiple types of forms from simple name / email captures to large surveys. It is a not a business user friendly tool like other form solutions we have used. Our business partners would like to be able to create their own forms but are currently dependent on our developers / admin to do so.
Mapping to SF custom objects has been a little bit of trial and error. For some forms we do have a complex setup and mapping which has made it difficult to map form data to SF. To be fair this isn't really a Formstack limitation. It's more an issue with our custom set up. It would be nice if there was better capability to map to custom objects and fields. Formstack for Salesforce excels in providing an intuitive and seamless form-building experience. Its native integration with Salesforce ensures that data flows directly into the platform without the need for manual intervention or complex data mapping. The drag-and-drop builder simplifies creating dynamic forms, even for non-technical users, and the ability to prefill forms with Salesforce data significantly enhances the user experience. Additionally, the conditional logic and real-time data validation features ensure that only accurate and relevant information gets submitted, saving time and reducing errors. While the platform is powerful, its pricing can be prohibitive for smaller teams or organizations with limited budgets. The initial learning curve for configuring more advanced features, like custom objects and complex form logic, can be challenging without sufficient documentation or support. Additionally, the performance of forms with extensive data or complex logic can occasionally lag, which impacts usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best part of this product is that it easily integrates with salesforce and the corresponding records and fields. It makes it very easy to update specific records along with automate the input of others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's been quite a few bugs surrounding this application. One of which is the order of operations in which objects are created. It should sequentially check if the record exists in our system before each insert rather than doing it in bulk. Another issue is that there are times when fields for our records just don't show up as an option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that I'm able to add in the objects I need to create records for in the form and then easily select the related fields to add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They have a section for javascript code which is essential for the forms functionality but the formstack for salesforce support team does not help you troubleshoot javascript issues. Which makes no sense since you need it in the forms.
Why include an area for javascript code and not support it?
Instead they suggest for you to pay a professional services team in order to get simple code help.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to integrate a form program at all. It does have some helpful features. Customer Support is responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of functionality in a user friendly manner based on the Admin. There seems to be a lot less functionality compared to standard Formstack, and the communication between systems is problematic. One of my biggest complaints is that the design settings/interface are outdated and overly complex. Although customer support is responsive, they only answer emails and there is often much lost in translation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Forms for simple requirements such as creating new records, are easy to setup/implement
- Alert options are sufficient Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- While you can achieve a lot with custom code, this can be intimidating for someone without coding experience. More features needed around advanced customization, so that coding won't be required.
- The functionality for prefilling existing records needs better error handling, even if one record has an issue the entire prefill fails. An option to proceed with successful records and view the failed records along with failure reason would be better.
- Styling interface could use a revamp Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Works well once setup and generally fairly straight forward to use. A lot of features to utilise which competitors lack. It's a very reliable product that we don't have to worry about breaking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Documentation links can sometimes be hard to find but other than that, no dislikes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Formstack for Salesforce makes it possible for us to track survey results with the person who fills out the information and makes it easier to analyze data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be a bit complex to use and only certain people on the team can have access for privacy purposes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
