Top Rated FileCenter Alternatives
In my business we process a lot of paper, a lot! What I didn't want to happen was to have to scatter the contents of a file cabinet out to find one simple document. FileCenter is the cure for this, it works! And it works well and keeps my staff (9 of us) and I organised and prevents screw ups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The learning curve can be a little long but this software does lots of things that is helpful in our business Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Crashes occur sometimes that delays work. PDF editor has a variety of features but lack clarity regarding their usage and location. The user guide could be better detailed too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the concept of setting up file cabinet-like structures and virtual cabinets/drawers. It has some nice scanning features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very slow to startup, heavy resource usage , slow performance on a fairly recent i7. Expensive and restrictive license policy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best feature is that you can click on a file and see a preview without opening the actual file. It saves tons of time when you're trying to find a file, but now you don't have to open each file you think it may be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's really not anything that I dislike about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I ended up switching to FileCenter from Neat Software as Neat was getting too expensive and I found it very slow to log receipts/etc.
I like that File Center keeps the files and receipts on your computer (easy to sync between different devices using Google Drive or other Cloud Services). You can set up your boxes and drawers however you want. I also like that DMS, Receipts, & Automate are all in the same software and in the preferences you can "hide" the ones you don't have - that way all my files and workflow can be accessed via FileCenter.
It is easy to navigate files and folders, and I love the folder templates. Building reports and inputting receipts is a lot faster in FileCenter than it is in Neat Software, and I was able to file my taxes a lot faster! Since I use it for my business, personal, non-profit, and main work files, I can easily switch between them all in FileCenter!
Support has largely been fast and helpful. This is a smaller company than Neat, so sometimes interaction with the team in their community groups takes awhile to hear from, but one gets the sense that they really are interested in what their customers want and need. There is a delay in switching between receipt boxes/drawers as you wait for it to load. Once you are in it is fast - but it would be nice if the load time is a bit faster. This might be because I am using a Cloud Drive as the source for my files.
There are also a few bugs (persistent settings preferences that don't save) that we have been waiting for awhile to be fixed - however the software updates themselves come regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This has a nice integration with Windows File Explorer. When I'm not using it, I can use File Explorer normally and everything that was done with FileCenter is accessible.
Being able to scan a document and insert it wherever its needed is fantastic. Append scan, insert, pre-pend are all great features. New scans with the the ability of using naming templates is even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not very much to write here. The only issue I had with this software was when Windows Search index got corrupted somehow after I had installed the Windows 10 update to version 2004. Since FileCenter uses the Windows Search, it could no longer find anything either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FileCenter is a great document management software. FileCenter includes simple scanning and organizing files with easy PDF creation and editing. After creating the files, they were stored on our computers. We were surprised by the great text recognition feature. FileCenter is easy to use and intuitive to navigate through it.
