Eventbase Pros and Cons

We've been using Eventbase for our user conference, JNUC, for a few years. It's really been a game changer compared to t he mobile app we were using before. Everything from planning through onsite experience was really well organized making it an overall great experience for our team. And bonus, our attendees really love the app too! We have a high download/user rate and the survey results are always very high for mobile app. Definitely a component to our user conference that we don't see going away any time soon! Aside from the high cost of the mobile app, some of our attendees have commented that the navigation of the app is sometimes hard to find things.... can be a bit overwhelming with too many features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They are extremely organized and have very smooth easy internal processes. From the time you call them for a demo, to contracting (which was very easy to get through our procurement team), to actually implementing and building the app and post event follow up. Their app shines well above others that we have used over the last 10 years.

Customer Service is top notch, they always answer in a timely fashion. The features that this app has is by far the top runner...our attendees love the maps once onsite.

I'd like to see a smoother integration with RainFocus - it's not terrible but there is some room for improvement. The price, but this also goes along the lines of you pay for what you get so I can't really call this a dislike... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the professional look, the ease of use for the conference attendee, the way it handles gamification and the ways in which we were able to customize our event app. The Eventbase team as a whole was very responsive from the start of the sales process to the end of the project. Eventbase Manager can be a little confusing, especially if you are not using the system regularly. You should also make sure you have some design resources at your company to provide images and design direction - this is not a turn-key app build. You get out of Eventbase what you put into it. Eventbase saves us hundreds of manhours each month with its self-serve events app solution. Their production team is friendly and helpful, keeping our projects running on time. This may be more of a Rainfocus limitation, but it would be great if users could retain their user sessions on more than one device. Currently, if a user logs into their account on the app, it logs them out of their session on their tablet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There isn’t much to dislike about Eventbase, as we’ve had great success with the SXSW mobile apps they’ve developed for us. Any minor issues that have arisen are typical of highly technical solutions and tend to resolve themselves as the project progresses. I love how easy it is to use. Navigating Eventbase manager never seems tedious, everything makes sense. If you do need assistance or forget how to use something on the platfform, they have a great team that will help assist you! I really like how our event brand can be showcased within the app with our full brand expression. It allows us to carry through the same elements you see at the venue. I appreciate how highly customizable the Eventbase mobile app is -- both with its features and design. We put on three major events each year with thousands of attendees and hundreds of speakers and sessions, and consistently hear from attendees how straightfoward and easy to use the app is.

Eventbase integrates seamlessly across our existing data systems, which is a lifesaver. If any we hit any roadbumps, they were able to quickly pinpoint what was going on.

Their customer support and producer team is amazing. They do a great job of documenting everything, so that year over year and event to event, we're never starting from scratch and can always hit the ground running.
