I recently moved across to EqualsMoney, and I couldn't be happier with the decision! The process of transferring money is smooth and straightforward, and not at all complicated. I use the cards weekly and the ease, very simple to intergarate into my day to day.
Compared to other services, EqualsMoney offered competitive rates and a much more personalsed experience. Was a no-brainer when I was shoping around, and its pleasing that the customer expereince so far has been excellent.

We have found Equals Money to be a very useful and cost effective way for our employees to use a debit card to make business related purchases while maintaining full controll over spending limits, card access etc. We changed over from a larger provider where the cost and level of customer service provided was simply not providing value for money for our charity, and have been very pleased with the change. The sign up process was easy and the follow up from Equals Money ensured that we were on the right service. Easy integration with out Xero bookkeeping service and the ability for cardholders to scan electronic receipts has been very useful. We have had no problems regularly using the cards. More features are being regularly added to Equals Money and I think that the product will improve over time. A couple of things that we would like are automatic transfer of receipts into Xero (being worked on I believe) and perhaps a low balance alert would be useful (as it is a prepay card) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Equals Money enables me to manage employee payment cards with ease from my laptop or mobile device. Adding funds to physical cards on the fly is seamless and adds convenience that is highly useful to employees in the field. The app allows me to check individual purchases on cards, block or temporarily suspend cards, set preferences on where cards can be used.
Setting up the app was easy and integrating into our organisation was made simple via good communication.
Customer service is friendly, prompt and effective.

The client portal is so easy to use and navigate, it is so simple to transfer funds, monitor transactions, and make any limits as required by the organisation. The feedback from workers has been nothing but positive. The service works really well, until you have an issue.
Pre-loading the cards, managing the balances, viewing transations are all super smooth and I like the user interface. It is all very seamless and easy to use and did exactly what we needed it to. It is slick and flawless until it all there is an issue and then it is dire. We made a transfer into the account and it didn't show up. Many many calls to both the sending bank (Lloyds) and Equals were made, and Equals were insistant to the point of being beligerant that Lloyds, not them, were at fault and had the respsonsibilty of 'finding the money'. Lloyds had traced it and given all the reference numbers needed and were incredulous at what had happened. Over a month of these phone calls ensued, with Lloyds saying one thing and Equals saying 'no, they're wrong, that's not how the banking system works', but refusing to talk to the other party. I had to threaten to take Equals to court for the money, before they suddenly 'found' it and said it had been transferred during a period of downtime and so had got lost.
I did not realise they are not a bank in their own right. They are simply a fancy user interface, connecting to their own business bank in the background (Barclays). This means they take absolutely no accountability when something like this happens. They simply say, we are chasing with the bank - but you are not able to talk to the bank. Would be far better to just have a bank account with Barclays themselves, as Equals were just an extra obstacle in the way of resolving the problem.
To add salt to the wound, a week after that was resolved, a transaction was allowed to go through on a card that was paused somehow - so I wouldn't trust that part of the system either.
I am sad to leave because it has been slick and easy when it has worked, but I have lost all faith in them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Equals Money dashboard is simple to use and gives me all the information I need.
The app makes everything easier for me as well as if I get requests to top up money whilst I am not at my computer I can do this away from home.

We have recently moved onto Equals Money and I've found a few little annoyances in the dashboard. They are not anything too bad and I expect they will get ironed out with future releases. We have used Equals Money since the beginning of 2024, and find the software so easy to use and navigation around the software is super easy. I cannot fault the software !

Equals was the perfect solution for our non-profit. We had a single bank account which needed multiple signatories to make transactions, plus we had many people who needed access to cards. Expenses took a very long time to process, so our team often went as long as possible without making the purchases they needed. So to be able to load up the account periodically and to give each team member their own card has made life so much easier! No more expneses to process, and the integration into Xero has made life much easier on the finance team. We use this all the time and couldnt work without it now.

The positives include that team members no longer need to carry cash when traveling overseas. The app is easy to understand, and uploading receipts is extremely straightforward. Downloading statements, whether for individual team members or for the team as a whole, was very simple. Customer support is exemplary and I made contact with them often. As an Administrator, I needed to determine the total funds added to Equals. I found this to be a complex task, especially when dealing with multiple currencies over a four-month period. While I consistently checked with Equals regarding the countries the team was traveling to and whether the card could be used there, the teams occasionally faced challenges. They sometimes had trouble withdrawing cash or found that the card was not accepted.
One drawback of downloading statements is that I had to create an additional column to calculate totals, as Equals deducts money from the overall amount.
I found it difficult to create new folders for each country and its currencies, so I abandoned that idea and opted to use just one folder which was unsatisfactory Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
