We like that we own the data and the ability to integrate into other systems. It was easy to tell from day one that Prophet21 was engineered for distribution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's not a lot to dislike. If I had to pick something, it would be the lack of ability to automatically round prices to the nearest penny. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The scale of business required for distribution is well-suited for Prophet 21. We have over 100,000 sku's with thousands of customers and custom pricing and purchasing libraries. The features and focuses of P21 make it a natural and helpful tool for servicing this market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since migrating to the cloud, our performance and responsiveness is much slower. Scheduler processes like Mass Updates (etc...) effect day-to-day operations such as packing list printing, shipping validation, order entry, etc... due to a shared pool of resources that we are taxing with our larger operations.
We can avoid this by scheduling these updates for after-hours, however we run into limitations, errors that need corrected, and other factors that end up delaying processes that used to run concurrently. It has both sped up and slowed our business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that it is SQL based and the data is easy to access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cloud is a challenge as we've lost a lot of control over our own data. Our company requested an extremely aggressive implementation schedule that Epicor was not willing to agree to. Based on this, we completed the integration on our own with little assistance from Epicor. We moved a new division to P21 Cloud within less than 6 months and then migrated an existing on-prem P21 instance to that Cloud system 4 months later. If you have an aggressive timeline, you need to be willing to bring in consultants that will assist and/or have an internal staff capable of performing the task on their own. SQL allows you to do alot with the data and allows vendors to easily integrate with P21 and get data, or simply update the database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Support is very very lack of knowledge, sometimes i get copied on the emails that support in Bensalem sends to Support in India, and then the ticket would sit in a Loop of nothing for a few days. I usually have to ask for an update to even get a response from the Epicor Team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Inventory Management Module is better compared to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Order management is slow and requires a lot improvement. UI is not at all user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is so easy to use and learn even if you have never worked in it before. Almost as simple as a windows based system to use, but not quite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Biggest dislike is that creating reports is not as simple as it should be and changing banks in the system apparently can't be done without contacting Tech Support, which no one knew and it isn't a readily known issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

An enterprise resource planing software esigned for fulfulling distributors and wholesalers needs. It helps us managing various aspects of business operations, including inventory, order processing, finance and customer relationship management. Its user friendly interphase and scalability also stand out in adapting to diverse business requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It fullfils requirments however it's downsides include a steeper learning for new users and also have potential customization challenges. Some of my team members reports occasional performance issues with larger data sets other then this, ongoing support and updates are crucial for optimal funcationality. Overall, epicor prophet is a powerfull ERP solution but careful consideration of specific business requirement is recomended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Eclipse software generally performs Mars' business functions well, and is fairly intuitive to use. Epicor listens to customers and works to implement feature changes and requests when feasible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Eclipse, being built on a 20-year-old codebase, lacks a true, cloud-native application, and this increases the complexity and cost for running Eclipse in the cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Eclipse is completely flexible. Anything you want to do in the software can be done somehow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Finding the way to do what you want to accomplish is a bit of a tricky task. Documentation helps, but it is vast, so it's not as easy to find things at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ease of being able to manage accounting and inventory in a one stop shop. Has lots of powerful tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The takeover by Epicor has result ed in a lot of ancillary programs being offered, but it doesn't always seem like they are interested in keeping their own house clean. There isn't a big effort to clean up bugs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
