Describe the project or task EdAssist helped with:

I am honestly shocked that they have any clients at all and haven't been shut down yet. No employee is on the same page with regard to process and most of the agents are not helpful and go out of their way to purposely answer your questions with one-word responses as if I am bothering them. I've had multiple conversations with reps that all tell me contradicting processes. When I finally got them to agree to reinstate my application, they edited my application and here we go again with misleading, inaccurate, and contradictory directions. Now I am asked to provide one thing and someone else tells me I don't need it then I am told to provide something different by another rep.

In short, their goal is to reimburse as little as possible and drag everything out so they can find a way to deny your reimbursement.

This is a pyramid scheme and companies that partake in this are getting lied to and taken advantage of. This is not a company benefit it's a headache. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about EdAssist?

The one representative out of ten that I spoke with was pleasant and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EdAssist?

The entire experience is not customer-centric. They do not care about their end-user and they clearly do not have internal processes that are clear to their own employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is EdAssist solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am trying to resolve and be reimbursed for my 3.8 GPA at a top 20 business school, but I have yet to be reimbursed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about EdAssist?

What I like best about EdAssist is nothing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EdAssist?

They've refused to help me, or explain what they need to process my reimbursement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering EdAssist:

Before you spend your money on anything, get them to give you EXPLICIT written information on what they need to be reimbursed. I paid for training and a certification test, both of which my company said would be reimbursed to me. I've given EdAssist proof that I passed the cerfitication test and have my certification now. I've given them receipts that I paid for the training and the certification test, and they told me receipts aren't proof that I actually paid for it. They need to see proof that I paid. So I sent them a redacted credit card receipt as proof that I paid, and they said they aren't PCI-DSS certified so they can't accept credit card receipts even if they're redacted. I said I understand, but then asked them to tell me what they want. I have receipts, the certification, and my credit card statement, if none of that is valid proof, then what is valid proof? It's been a month and they've haven't responded to my question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is EdAssist solving and how is that benefiting you?

EdAssist is supposed to be a reimbursement program for certifications and school. It hasn't been a benefit to me so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about EdAssist?

Its appearance is clean and professional. Everything is in one place to get into. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EdAssist?

At the time when I'd used it, I didn't care for having to just use my employee number for access. This may be a minor thing, but I felt that it made me appear as a number, and wonder if this was the first thing seen when I was needing Live help for anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering EdAssist:

Make sure to stress to your employees that they will have help in navigating their benefits if they are having a difficult time and have printouts with walkthroughs. This is something that my company had offered when I'd applied and had appreciated it, as there was a lot to look through and consider as far as my benefits and access to services went upon onboarding with Bright Horizons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is EdAssist solving and how is that benefiting you?

All of my benefits as an employee were pretty well organized in one place. Though sometimes verbiage could be a bit confusing at times and I felt there were moments I was spending more time than necessary to find things, it does look clean and organized once obtained. When an employee for BH is in need of information about their benefits, it's for the most part all in one place. This makes it easier than finding the time to just call and wait to talk with someone who has the information for you, especially if you have a very busy work/life schedule which a lot of us do in the field. What do you like best about EdAssist?

Can't think of anything that was helpful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EdAssist?

Everything from the customer service, program, wait times, responses, structure and overall ethics as a company Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering EdAssist:

DO NOT waste your time and complain to your company about what a scam this program is. I know I will Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is EdAssist solving and how is that benefiting you?

EdAssist makes it extremely difficult to receive tuition reimbursement by taking days-weeks to respond to documentation submitted, and then continuously asking for more information stating the valid documentation is not detailed enough. Finally, by the 60 mark when you've submitted several proofs of payment, grade, etc. it is now past the deadline and your small tuition reimbursement is now denied. I have realized it is intentional to make it extremely difficult for Ed Assist/your company to NOT pay. This is NOT a good look on Ed Assist OR your company. What is the point of offering tuition reimbursement if it does not work?? Absolute scam. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its nice that they are online and make their process to enroll fairly easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EdAssist?

They will try their best to NOT pay you. They make no exceptions for the different semester dates from their application deadlines, even if its off by just a couple of days.

Customer service is not a service, they are rude and not helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is EdAssist solving and how is that benefiting you?

EdAssist is solving the problem of encouraging and offering a platform for Employers to incentivise further education. However EdAssist does their best to not honored their end of the deal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

tuition reimbursement Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about EdAssist?

Um... there's really nothing positive I can say about them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EdAssist?

They seem to intentionally delay payments for tuition reimbursement, always needing another detail they didn't ask for previously. Every interaction takes weeks, so tuition payments wind up taking months. Really annoyed that our university decided to use them for tuition disbursements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is EdAssist solving and how is that benefiting you?

In theory, the benefit is that they will streamline tuition payments. Unfortunately, that's not what's happening in reality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Describe the project or task EdAssist helped with:

EdAssist has made it impossible to claim tuition reimbursement. They repeatedly reject perfectly composed applications, claiming "information is missing." I am convinced it is their goal to make it as difficult as possible for claimants to get the benefits they are entitled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about EdAssist?

Nothing, terrible and unethical company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Describe the project or task EdAssist helped with:

This program is for tuition assistance and reimbursement for employees pursuing employer-sponsered degrees. It is used for grades validations and payment processing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about EdAssist?

It is convenient to have all applications handled through one hub. On an individual level, tuition history is easily accessible, and charges for books or added fees can be added later through the Comments section, where an EdAssist employee will take care of the adjustment once a receipt is uploaded. Payment processing is within 2 pay cycles, which is relatively quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EdAssist?

The interface is terribly unfriendly. Fees cannot be organized in a logical way, and tuition and technology fees have to be listed under a course as if they were "course related," though they are not listed as such by the university. This has caused much confusion. Often times, reimbursement filings are rejected because of personal preferences on the end of the EdAssist employees. If they don't understand a particular receipt or bill, it is sent back, adding days to the process. Explanations on how to claim fees are unclear and difficult to locate on the website. Response time is also often slow, taking up to a week in some cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering EdAssist:

Read the fine print, ask lots of questions, and adequately train your employees before implementing this software. Expect delays and complications with applications and approvals. Once the approval goes through, though, the payment process is smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
