Druva Data Security Cloud Pros and Cons

The initial setup of Druva was one of the more simplier setups Ive ever done in my 12 years of IT. The engineer from Druva was very helpful. The cloud to cloud setup allows me not have a huge footprint in my virtual enviorment unlike with Veeam and 11:11 where it took 6 VMs for the backups to work. Thing I like the best about Druva Data Security Cloud is its seamless integration with our existing infrastructure. Setting up backup of M365, Entra and Salesforce is so easy and quick. You can be backing up in minutes. It is easy to customize with policies that can do what you want.

Backing up VMWare takes a little longer due to the need to deploy a virtual appliance on th host. But once you have the appliance deployed backing up vm's is so easy. Policies are very easy to create and control.

The Phoenix product which is used to back up vmware is so easy to use you can start growing the amount of data you backup very quickly. Druva is very solid in terms of technical support. They have always been helpful in resolving our backup or restore issues on time. The solution is general is very good!. Coming from a on-prem hardware solution to a full cloud has reduced our maintenance time in about 20% dealing with backups and restores. The other plus is that we integrated two solutions into one.
