If you are looking for user-friendly and cutting-edge solution that not only maximizes the usability of skills and retention of staff, then DevSkiller is everything you need!

Serving in different HR capacities, I have struggled with finding the most reliable skills-management tool that intergates with as many as possible HR systems. My search for such solution ended when I decided to give DevSkiller a try. The way DevSkiller mapps and rates the skills, helps staff reach their true potentials and achieve their career goals, its truly unmatched. The metric system used to accumulate points that helps the HR staff to oversee and manage the workforce way more efficiently, is what destinguishes DevSkiller from the rest of skill management tools I ever used. The super friendly user experience, integration, and self-intuitive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevSkiller?

What do you like best about DevSkiller?

DevSkiller's TalentBoost offers a unique experience for HR professionals and hiring managers to effectively track, map and analyze the skillsets of employees. The features that stood out to me was the skill mapping charts, the different categories of skills and the ability to generate a report of these information. As an HR professional, it is important for me to be able to see these skills in a quick overview but still be able to go on a deep-dive for each skill or for each employee and TalentBoost does a great job of giving me those options. I can see this having a huge impact in the decision-making process of hiring managers as to which employee should be given a promotion or which employee can excel in a different role within the company. Two of our highly valued philosophies - growth and change, hit by one stone that is TalentBoost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevSkiller?

I do not see any downsides with the product except that it can be quite overwhelming to use it at first. It does take a little bit of time to get used to all the features but once you have that mastered, then it is like a walk in the park. I am also very excited to see what other developments and new features that the DevSkiller team can bring to the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DevSkiller solving and how is that benefiting you?

DevSkiller is filling a gap in the way we do skills management today. They are bringing a sophisticated piece of technology that helps HR professionals like me to better understand and analyze the skill sets of our current employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DevSkiller?

The highest impact the tool has to offer is its potential to offer rich taxonomies accross a multitude of compentencies and skills used in different industries. I particulary liked the functionalities it has to offer, the report-builder, and the possibility to link the trainings or upskilling materials in the tool (for example, with coursera). Another upside is the friendly user-interface! The UI and UX of the tool made it easy for me to explore the tool on my own with a little help from the demo. During my earlier times of using the tool, I was in full contact with Justin who helped in the support of using the platform. With a proper implementation plan, the tool can easily integrate in existing processes of HR within an organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevSkiller?

Like any other tool, using a platform dependent on user input will result to bad data quality. If TalentBoost can also offer integration or standard implementation plans, I believe that could really set them apart from competition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DevSkiller solving and how is that benefiting you?

The TalentBoost platform showcases skill mapping and career pathing in a language employees can understand - which is crucial for Retention management.

I particularly also find the potential synergies between the skill map and recruitment interesting - if talent analytics can pull out skills and competencies easily, promotions can benefit from easy decision making based on data, combined with the performance. Internal cross-moves or internal promotions can be bridged with the process given the completion / success of competencies from the employees. Employee requisitions or hiring process can also be controlled or adjusted if talent analytics can identify the right skills for the right positions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DevSkiller?

I really appreciated the functionality of the system and the capabilities. I think there's a great opportunity for organizations who want to revamp their recruitment and retention efforts and can use DevSkiller to do so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevSkiller?

I think there are opportunities for other integrations, including a 360 review. I worry that employees are able to submit a self-assessment without corroboration from superiors. Moreover, I think the interface could be a bit more user-friendly. But, I think once you get used to it, it would be workable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DevSkiller solving and how is that benefiting you?

It definitely consolidates and allows organizations to revamp how they use data for retention and recruiting efforts. Moreover, it gives employees a tangible view of what is needed to promote or be considered for a job at the organization, ultimately providing transparency and the opportunity for more candid feedback. What do you like best about DevSkiller?

I appreciate how this platform consolidates company-wide skills, often scattered across various overviews, Excel sheets, documents, and presentations, into easily digestible and user-friendly visual maps. It also identifies skill gaps and designs training programs to foster employee growth aligned with company needs. TalentBoost’s data insights assist HR and management in making informed decisions about training, staffing, budgets, and planning, driving smarter strategies.

Additionally, the platform streamlines onboarding by providing new hires with personalized learning paths and training modules tailored to their roles. In recruitment, TalentBoost enables recruiters and hiring managers to understand the specific skills and competencies required for various roles, leading to more accurate candidate matching and ensuring alignment across the organization. It also reduces the time needed to create job ads, as skill sets and competencies are already clearly defined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevSkiller?

There is actually nothing to dislike. However, potential upgrade could include an additional overview in the Career Path segment that highlights more clear potential lateral career progressions within the company, not just vertical paths. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DevSkiller solving and how is that benefiting you?

It enables to thoroughly pinpoint skill gaps on the company level, ensuring nothing is overlooked. It also provides transparency and alignment and calibration on the company level exactly what skills are necessary to fill a specific role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DevSkiller?

DevSkiller is a very unique platform designed to help managers assess new employees, retrain their current and prepare them for higher positions within the organization.

Typically, you will find that hiring managers will use a number of systems to determine skill gaps, training needs, skills outstanding for the current position and those needed for succession planning. DevSkiller is compact with all these tools that gears both the manager and the employee, to professional development.

I paricularly love how the tabs integrate and an overall analysis can be given from the dashboard to determine the use of the platform by line managers and their employees. The Career tab was a favorite of mine as i have still been using my old designed Succesion Planning Model to track employees for future promotions. All tying this in with skill gap analyses and development plans. Well, DevSkiller had everything right there integrated to help the manager determine what technical and non-technical skills are needed for promotion, if the employee is ready and who may be the best fit for same. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevSkiller?

It is a great app but the layout for each tab can be diferent and more user friendly. The design becomes redundant and if you are a systems manager, you know the impact this can have on improving the employee experience. It is a very functional software, easy to use if you are accustomed to systems; particularly HRMIS but needs to be more user friendly for all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DevSkiller solving and how is that benefiting you?

DevSkiller helps tremendously with Skills Management by tracking all the skill requirements for each employee and how much they have accomplished within a time frame. The app even has email templates; which i must add has a mobile friendly version, that can be sent to the employee in a jiffy as a prompt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DevSkiller?

I really liked the self rating skills manager for workers feature which provides a more holistic assessment of skills not only from their manager but also the worker to gage where they think their skills are currently at compared to the rating of their manager. This functionality can produce better dialogue and understanding between worker and manager of where a workers strengths lie as well as areas for improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevSkiller?

DevSkiller leans more on the tech/developer side and the layout can be a bit overwhelming to find information as there is alot of features and functionality in the software which may or may not be so user friendly to non-technical HR professionals. The design and layout can be simpler. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DevSkiller solving and how is that benefiting you?

DevSkiller is helping identify talent and skills gaps needed for developing and managing a skilled workforce in a competitve and ever changing market. Devskiller combines the current talent, current skills existed as well as skills needed and learning path on how to achieve those goals all in one system which is pretty innovative approach as a lot of HR software and learning management systems are separate. DevSkiller is helping solve the constant need for upskilling workers faster and efficiently so companies can respond faster to change and adapt to evolving technology and growing business demands to create lean processes through automation and continuous process improvement. Devskiller benefits me by providing me solutions to address organizational challenges and help provide data all in one platform to make informed decisions as an HR technology professional to advise the business for strategic initiatives. What do you like best about DevSkiller?

With the subdivisions of each skill, the tool gives you both a high-level and detailed overview about the skills the employees are developing and they need to work on it which makes it very comprehensive. The tool gives an easy follow-up process for the employees who need to improve their technical skills in a way that mapping the missing areas and providing the data related to work-in-progress. It's also nice that both employees, managers and HR professionals can reach out these data to evaluate & manage the talent with the collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevSkiller?

I liked the objective of the tool however I found it not user-friendly in terms of finding the information you're looking for, a bit difficult to learn and not easy to navigate the platform which makes it less efficient. On the other hand, while for technical skills the tool is very comprehensive and objective, it is not clear how to evaluate and test the soft-skills through the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DevSkiller solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a digital talent management tool, the aim of the DevSkiller aligns with the problem of the skill gap analysis & management process in HR. The TalentBoost tries to automate this process as much as possible by providing comprehensive details of the skills to related stakeholders. This is critical when it comes to attraction and retention of the talent. During the hiring strategies, the tool can help you to understand the real gaps and missing skills in your team and it contributes to having a more objective hiring process. On the other hand, with the systematic approach and data insights, it facilitates and empowers the processes related to skill gap analysis, employee development and performance evaluation. What do you like best about DevSkiller?

We've had hundreds of candidates who took our code challenges and tests on DevSkiller. The feedback we got from them has been overwhelmingly positive and we know that a positive candidate experience is critical to hiring the best talents and to improve or maintain our employer branding.

I really appreciate how easy it is to create new tests by mixing tasks and tests from DevSkiller's extensive test library. But the real power of DevSkiller is the ability to create your own tests and to provide a space to the candidates where they can write code, compile it, test it... It's even integrated with Git so candidates can use their favorite development tools on their local machine. In that case, you can see DevSkiller like a remote build server. It mimics perfectly the day to day experience of a software engineer working on a task, committing their work, pushing their code to Git and trigering a new build on their CI/CD pipeline.

As a hiring manager, the UI is a breeze and you can immediately identify the top candidates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevSkiller?

Nothing to dislike about the product itself.

For small organizations, the yearly pricing does not necessarilly match the reality of hiring waves followed by long months without any new openings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DevSkiller solving and how is that benefiting you?

Identify top candidates and easily weed out unqualified applicants, such that our engineers invest time interviewing the relevant candidates only. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
