Depending on the Unit you have, You can spin up a Virtual Server Right on your Device... Easy to setup, Easy to get a hold of their Customer Support when you have an issue or need to get a file... From someone accidentally deleting a file and retrieving it... Or if your Server Crashes... Implimenting a Bare Metal Restore is easy to do... It fully integrates into the servers, workstations... Cost of the units have gone up over the years... but yet, YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET... It is Worth Its Money though... Tech calls can take a bit. But isn't that with any company out there... Datto enables us to manage multiple backups of data throughout the day with features such as incremental backup, backup verification, screenshot verification, and availability of local and cloud points.

In case of any unforeseen issues, Datto allows us to spin up a virtual server in the cloud or locally.

Installation and management are straightforward. We can easily install the agent, whether it's agent-based or agentless, reboot the device, and add it to the portal. Additionally, Datto supports backup for various appliances such as physical servers, endpoints, VMs, NAS, Networking devices.

We have the flexibility to set up backup notifications for different types of alerts, including success, failure, and warnings.

Datto provides excellent support via email and phone whenever we need assistance.

The reporting feature is robust, allowing MSP clients to efficiently manage multiple clients through a single dashboard.

Integration with tools like AutoTask, Datto RMM, or ConnectWise is seamless and straightforward, making it easy to incorporate Datto into existing workflows and systems.

I really like the user interference. It is quite easy to navigate in the datto and access the tools and check the backups . And also the support is very helpful , whenever we get stuck on some issue , they are always available to help . Also the implementation of Datto is veru wasy . The UI doesn't have many options for sorting, or changing your view, so it may not work for everyone. I would prefer to have more choices. I also notice that using the Dark Mode can cause issues with seeing some of the buttons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The product works and is simple to use and maintain. Above all, when someone needs a restore, the product works. The portal is easily checked. If there are any issues (VERY rarely) Datto's tech support is by far the best in the industry - I've been a computer tech for over 30 years and have dealt with hundreds of vendors and support. I can't stress this enough, DATTO SUPPORT IS THE BEST BY FAR.

Making a backup is not hard, making sure it succeeded and can be restored if need be is another story. With Datto SIRIS you know if a backup is made and an automatic restore test is done. If that fails you are alerted and can act upon it or let it be fixed automatically.

It will allow for a full VM restore but you can also restore a given file or folder on a specific time, depending on your backup schedule. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes it can be hard to determine the required settings or steps to fix a failing backup or restore, not some much a problem with SIRIS but more because of all the different hardware/software combinations supported.

Linux restore takes more manual steps and is less obvious than the Windows restore process.

It works. SIRIS devices are great. On-premises virtualization works as promised. Secure cloud storage for off-site works great. We have recovered VMs locally, and files and folders from both on-premises and cloud backup images. Highly recommend. It does what they say it will do. Datto BCDR tech support team is great as well. The Interface of the BCDR with the functionality it provides. it at its best. It is very easy to integrate with the other monitoring tool with the help of API. Datto customer support is very good and experienced. Also available over the chat and the call as well. Very easy to implement and easy to use functionality.
