## Crowdin Reviews
  ### 1. Seamless translations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Itegration with our Gitlab pipeline has been seamless over a couple of years, with no maintainance required. It has been pretty easy to work with and add translation terms. The integrated translation machines are a pretty decent and helpful resource too. Helpdesk and Support have been excellent.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Nothing I disliked. Everything worked as promised.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seamless integration of new translations as terms are being added to our software. The intergated translation machines save us the trouble of having to go to external services for small tasks. Adds efficiency and reduces costs.

  ### 2. Great tool, better service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Powerful, flexible translation management platform with even better technical support

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The only areas in which we sometimes have concerns revolves around uncertainties about the status of plug-ins and extensions: are they fully supported? Are they free or premium services? We do get mixed messages.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CrowdIn gives us a single platform where dozens of volunteer translators from our community can contribute efficiently and effectively.

  ### 3. The best in class translation management system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matsuda M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Both the product and the customer support team are superb.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Absolutely nothing to dislike about. My experience with Crowdin has been great.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mobile app translation can be a project nightmare with a bad translation management system.
Crowdin has proven to have all the features we badly needed, and the system is so easy to use.
The support team is always very helpful.

  ### 4. Well made User Interface nice ML translations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

User interface and keyboard shortcuts in translation mode.

Import export functionally.

Screenshot feature to help translator.

Gpt-4 integration upcoming.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The API documentation is a bit tricky to understand. Took a while to implement.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is our interface for translating our game.
Translation Companies work with this tool and send us their translation via Crowdin.

Our game editor uses the API to update the translation files for our translators.

  ### 5. Crowdin is a great platform to manage all your documents when you are working with several languages

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alberto M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I really like the option to have an overview of all the documents I have to translated and the progress. Also I like the option to include external machine translation engines and the option to manage my glossary in order to keep the consistency.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Personally, I see not really user-friendly the option of proofreading the pre-translated text. I prefer the option where I can see the document in the same format as the transaltion step.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin is working to improve the user experience. Since I started using it, I saw a few improvements that make easier the work to me. For example, the colour palette changed, to make a clearer difference between the translation and proofreading.

  ### 6. Best in class

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yannis A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The user experience is very strong. This is a major asset to growing out contributor base. I would note that the tools are easy to use but Crowdin caters to power users and niche cases as well - with keyboard shortcuts and a translation comparison view (e.g. to view European and Brazilian Portuguese side-by-side)

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Would like more options to document our process for contributors on Crowdin itself, as our project is open to the public and because we have returning translators who will skip our site and go straight to Crowdin.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having an operationalised approach to localisation which replaced our in-house solution and freed developer time while also enhancing the translator experience.

  ### 7. Providing an amazing service for our open source project

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dean H. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The flexibility of the command line interface means we can integrate across multiple projects and automate things to work in our very custom workflow.

Onboarding new translators has been very easy. We switched from using a custom google docs based system and crowdin has been nothing short of exemplary.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The project management interface can be quite overwhelming since there are a lot of different ways to navigate things.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a large community of translators that help localise our (free) game. Crowdin allows this process to happen with minimal management.

  ### 8. Great for string-based translation, not so for prose-based translation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin has, from my experiences with web-based translation tools, the most attractive and easy to use user interface for translating strings. It works especially well for smaller strings, such as descriptions for fields, buttons and the like, seen in e.g. clients for web pages or even some videogames.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I would say Crowdin is not suitable for usage on longer prose text pieces (such as documentation pages) that don't consist of independent strings, but are one whole text. While it does work initially, the reason for this is that changes to the source text will result in inaccurate mapping of previous translation to new source text, resulting in a need to fix up every translation made to suit the changed source text.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through Crowdin, I'm able to translate and manage translations of website projects into various different languages from a single source language.

  ### 9. Great CAT tool for business needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristiyan P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is a great CAT tool for my day-to-day business as it helps me organize my work in separate projects while maintaining high quality of TM and glossary which are very important for the project.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

There are no downsides faced from my perspective from using Crowdin for more than a year now.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin is helping me translate various projects consistently and fast.

  ### 10. I used the tool to validate some pre-translated strings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Federico F. | Release Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Easy to use, easy flow iteraction, clear steps to follow

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

multiple selection sometimes was not possible or really difficult to have, sometimes I lost all the selection for a wrong click (the box is too small)

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The across subsidiaries coordination and management

  ### 11. Spot on fun functionality and great support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martijn B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin does what it should, support translation management of large multilingual projects.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The interface is not easy to use for occasional translators. It would be great if Crowdin would start supporting Google Docs and Slides.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster translation and collaborative translation

  ### 12. Makes translations easier for our app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Intisar C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The most helpful thing is that my team gets translated files quick and easy! We upload our string files and translators translate it in the various languages. We then simply download it and load the translations to our app.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I've found our current process to be manual intensive. I have reached out for help on how to automate translations on our mobile app, but have not been successful.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It improves the accessibility of our app. We are able to release our app to every corner of the world, knowing that it will be available to every user in a language that they will know.

  ### 13. Really modern Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Its easy to use with clean minimalistic UI.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Currently i didn't experience any downsides of crowdin.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It really helped me make my Software more accesible to everyone. I can just Post the Project and the people help to translate it into their own Language. Also i do no longer use Translators to translate my apps.

  ### 14. Volunteer Luminaries for People: Crowdin

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ertuğrul S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I love the solidarity of Crowdin and how it comes naturally from people. Sometimes we put in the effort to translate known or unknown brands into our language. When a user downloads a new application and sees that it does not support their language, they can get lost in unfamiliar terms and words, which affects their experience. We translators gather on Crowdin so that people can easily understand and enjoy the applications or websites they use or browse.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Sometimes I translate a sentence or a few sentences and a person comes and changes a tiny and meaningless detail in the whole text and approves his translation. I feel like this is disrespectful.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't want to see terms I don't understand when I use a program, or sometimes when I play a computer game, I don't want me or my friends to experience confusion and confusion. Sometimes I find that I have difficulty with applications that don't support my language, and I don't want other people to have that difficulty.

  ### 15. The best and most affordable TMS for growing software companies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Very helpful product for managing i18n across multiple projects, and leveraging our community for translation improvements.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Quite a few pain points in the product, but all can be overcome with persistence and perodic manual lifts.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us automate translations across multiple projects for more than a dozen languages.

  ### 16. Easy to use, fast and powered by the community

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simone G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

It is very easy to use and you can immediately start contributing to translations.
Very nice that you can vote on other people's translations so that they are chosen over others.
Convenient that an email arrives every time a new translation is needed.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

For my current use I do not see any disadvantages.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows cooperation between different people in the translation and in choosing the best possible translation

  ### 17. Powerful functionality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 黃韋揚 X. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The interface is clear, and the customer service response is efficient.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The process of uploading and downloading files is somewhat cumbersome.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assist each region in completing localization tasks.

  ### 18. Very easy integration, multi-lanaguage support would nog have been possible without it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emiliano H. | Data architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Very good workflow management and very good translation memory. The latter helps for new translations but also for restructuring the translation files; we went to a new translation format, discarding all the old identifiers and moving to new, and it was painless.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Nothing stands out to me as negative. Perhaps some more documentation on setting up new integrations, but the UX is fairly self-explanatory.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it possible to bring in volunteers with very little friction. Notifications are fast and updates are smooth; I usually have new translations (by volunteers!) in in 10 minutes.

  ### 19. Regional Sales Manager

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The speed of answers from a support team is the most important part for me about Crowdin. Additionally, we can create a system for our entire translation process and include all types of files, even markdown files, which we haven’t seen in other similar companies.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

There are still some issues with Translation Memory and integrations, which cause problems with the final translation result. For example, such problems can occur with parts of technical documentation that contain code examples.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps to manage the whole process of translation with differents types of materials. And thanks to a GitHub integration, it helps to make the whole process faster and smoothier.

  ### 20. Very powerful for small and big projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maxime C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

My favorite thing in Crowdin is that it will help you to save some sentences that you want to always translate with the same words, just like a glossary. Also, it will provide default translations to help you to translate sentences faster.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The negative point is that you can't discuss with members in only one language. You have a global discussion for each sentences but shared across all the languages in the project.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin can easily help you to manage sentences and languages easily. It automatically contact the translators to tell them that new sentences are ready for translation.

  ### 21. Crowdin is a great tool for managing translations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dima M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I must say that Crowdin is a great tool for managing translations. The platform is easy to use and has a lot of features that make it easy to manage different projects. One of the best things about Crowdin is their API, which allows us to integrate the platform into our software development process seamlessly. I also appreciate the fact that Crowdin supports a wide range of file types, including popular formats such as json and html. This makes it easy to manage translations for different types of projects. Finally, I want to mention that the support team at Crowdin is very responsive and helpful. Whenever we have a question or issue, they are always quick to respond and help us find a solution. Overall, I highly recommend Crowdin to other non-native speakers who need help with managing translations. The platform has been very useful for us, and we appreciate the support and features that it offers.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The Python library for Crowdin is also very helpful for automating translation tasks. Although it was a bit challenging to use at first, the documentation and regular updates make it easier for us to work with.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- translation storage. This makes it easy to access and manage translations across multiple projects and teams.
- interface for the translators. Translators can access the platform from anywhere, using any device with an internet connection.
- translation CRM. allowing users to manage translations, communicate with translators, and track the progress of translation projects.
- API for translations. allows developers to integrate Crowdin into their software development process, making it easy to automate the translation process.

  ### 22. Great experience for several years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maksim O. | Program Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I use Crowdin for several years and I am very satisfied with both product functionality and their customer support team. Whenever I need help and send e-mail to support I usually get a reply within 15 minutes. We use only small part of existing functionality because Crowdin has a ton of features and integrations.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I would like pricing being more flexible in some cases. Sometimes I need a feature that is available only with a high-level more expensive plan while I do not need other features provided by this plan. However, so far, Crowdin support always provided appropriate solutions in such cases.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I upload applications' resource strings to Crowdiin, provide access to multiple translators and download ready-made translations from Crowdin in the required formats. In my case I upload Android application resources and can download translations both for Android and iOS. I found the feature to attach screenshots to every string very convenient because it provides translators with the context of the string usage.

  ### 23. Great Platform for managing Translations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I really like the amount of control I have over certain translation projects, especially as a Translations Manager. Using their API is great too, allowing me to integrate it into platforms such as discord to keep a better overview over translations.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

This could be coming from someone who mainly does crowdsourced translations, but I partially dislike the way the dashboard seems to be cluttered. It would be great to allow disabling certain aspects from it, such as paid translations, as thats not needed within a crowdsourced translation project.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is benefiting me by being able to control the translations of the platform I was managing. I was able to communicate with translators regarding their translations and and had a great overview of everything happening.

**Official Response from Khrystyna Humenna:**

> Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to write this review.

If you mean the vendors tab within a project - that's already been relocated to a different spot in the UI, so the dashboard should look better now :)
There are fewer tabs in general as well, we're working towards simplifying the look.

We highly encourage you to check out the latest changes - and if you like what you see, we'd be delighted if you decided to improve your rating here, so it can reflect the improved experience. If there's something else that's causing your poor rating, please send your ideas at support@crowdin.com - we'd love to see how we can improve

  ### 24. Perfect

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Germán A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

the ease of being able to translate into languages with the interface they have

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I like everything, the only thing I would change would be to keep the session open, but everything is great

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin increasingly improves its interface to make its use increasingly easier.

  ### 25. A Great Tool for Translating as a Team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nima A. | -, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I have been using Crowdin for almost a year, and what I like the most is its neat and simple layout. Also, the translation memory and machine translation embedded in Crowdin can help save time.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

There is not much to dislike, if any. The only thing that comes to mind is the naviagtion - especifically, going back to where you were before - which may be a little confusing at times.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin is a great tool to help with software localization. Occasionally, I come across apps that appear to be translated into a language haphazardly by a non-native speaker of that language. By providing a platform to work on translations as a team, Crowdin solves this issue and allows the developers to benefit from the native language speakers' capabilities in translating their products.

  ### 26. A pleasure to work with on a daily basis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michiel K. | Chief of Things, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I originally got to know about Crowdin as we use if for Zotonic - which is a big open source project with lots of languages. Crowdin was great for cordinating lots of translators and proofreaders. For LearningStone we use it on a daily basis combining machine translatiojn and proofreading. I love the integrations and the interfaces. Espcially the ability to see and edit all languages at the same time and the suggestions from multiple sources to support you.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

There's not much I don't like. In our case we would like to be able to choose per language if the translation will be formal or informal.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing multiple languages for our platform and working with proofreaders for each language.

  ### 27. Great tool to make your software accessible to more people around the globe

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dmitrii B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I am running an open-source project, and for non-tech users, it's quite complicated to contribute directly to GitHub, as they have to understand the project structure and pull requests.
Crowdin allows me to add context screenshots of how some prompts are used in the software, which greatly improves translation.
Thanks to Crowdin, I've got suggestions from the community for new languages: within a few months, I've used it, and I've already released Japanese and Polish versions, as well as received several improvements for wording, which were made due to the lack of context.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The pricing grid is very stiff. While there's a generous free version, it gets quite expensive as soon as you want to set up new integrations or increase the word limit. There are many features that I would consider optional for small projects like mine, but they're included in the basic plan.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This allows me to bring my project to the attention of new audiences around the globe and makes it easier to work on translation compared to other software solutions like BabelEdit, and much easier compared to direct localization files editing.

  ### 28. An efficient tool for team translation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg S. | Translator (English > Brazilian Portuguese), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is a good tool to use, especially from the point of view of the translation project manager. It makes it easier to keep track of everything that's going on in the project and follow discussions and consistency. Crowdin is useful for collaboration purposes when there is a big team and many languages involved. From the translator's point of view, it's also very good to have the option to export the translation file to be able to work on it offline.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The interface and especially interaction with elements such as the translation memory is not always the most familiar and convenient for the translators. Being able to export/import the translated files is very convenient and compensates for that, though.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's very convenient to use Crowdin to coordinate the whole effort of a big team in many languages. That's something that's not facilitated by all CAT tools in the market.

  ### 29. Crowdin makes it easy to translate anything

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I like how easy it is to use Crowdin. It really makes it easy to translate anything into my native language. It also offers good suggestions for translations. I have used it for many years now, and it has become better with time.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

A bit expensive if you want to host a transation page, but luckily free to translate other products.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it easy and possible to localize a service you like into your native language.

  ### 30. I liked their marketplace! Automation is a must

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yuliana Z. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I like that their support team is quick to respond, so they are always helpful. When I'm working on some new task I don't have to figure things out on my own and I'm not 57th in line to get connected to a real person, I'm connected right away with a human, not a bot.

GitHub integration was a game-changer. Also, screenshots - context helps a lot and proofreaders have less work to do. No one needs to explain context for one button to different translators, as they all see the same content.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Not sure if I ever used reports. Not that I dislike this feature, but I don't have a need to go there. I'm overall happy with our choice.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re automating our content localization

  ### 31. The easiest way to collaborate with localization providers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Simple and powerful translation features

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Price is high if you plan to use infrequently

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a quick way for both paid and community translators to localize our game content.

  ### 32. Very good for the translation part, still need some improvements in the integration part

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piercarlo S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Very easy to use collaborators for translating different languages at the same time

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Quite clanky with the integration with repositories and CI/CD pipelines.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In this way the translation of our software is not a responsibility of the IT team.

  ### 33. My Experience with Crowdin

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Digital 3. | Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I have been using Crowdin for some time now, and I can confidently say that it is an excellent platform for localization projects. What I love most about it is how it fosters collaboration among team members. Everyone can work together on a project, and the interface is so user-friendly that even beginners can easily navigate it. The platform also comes with a host of features, such as translation memory, machine translation, and quality checks, which all help ensure that translations are accurate and consistent.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Honestly, there isn't much that I don't like about Crowdin. The only thing I can think of is that it can take a bit of time to set up a new project, especially if you are new to the platform. However, once you get the hang of it, it's smooth sailing from there. Plus, the support team is always on hand to help out if you run into any issues.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin solves a significant problem for me as a developer and project manager - localization. As a developer, I create software applications and Discord bots that I want to make available to a global audience. However, this requires localizing the content, which can be a daunting and time-consuming task. Crowdin also benefits me by allowing me to collaborate with other team members, whether they are translators or other developers. This collaborative environment enables us to work together seamlessly, leading to faster and more accurate translations, as well as a more robust software application or Discord bot.

  ### 34. Best localization software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is the best localization software based on my experience. It is easy to use. They have great customer support and they are available 24/7. The features are very sample, it is very easy to set up. I recommend Crowdin to any business.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I can't really find any downside with Crowdin

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps me to resolve my translations task and provide the best translation service to my clients

  ### 35. A bit complex to get through the options

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The LQA process. Like how it calculates all the necessary parameters and gives a fair result.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Going back and forth to the options, the work gets slow in between.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing all the projects in one space, making communication easy for translators and proofreaders

  ### 36. Very reliable and stable software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcos Vinícius P. | Freelance Translator and Proofreader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The shortcuts are the best feature of Crowding. I like that I can customize it to my needs and increase my workflow. I also like that I can easily list different but similar languages right below my translation, which can help me translate more efficiently and quicker.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Sometimes the notifications to project updates are not as quick as I would like. There is a delay sometimes, and depending on the number of people on the project, I can get behind because I didn't receive the notification immediately.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowding is providing me a reliable tool to translate and localize projects that I work on. It gives me a flexible UI that can put me on my best workflow right away. It is benefiting me because I don't need to fiddle too much with the software, think about configurations and stuff.

  ### 37. All-in-one translation platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maicol B. | Full Stack Developer/Junior Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin gives multiple machine translation options, including a free in-house one. It is one of the few services that offers free plans for open-source projects and it gives almost all a user wants when editing and adding translations: keyboard shortcuts, good editor UI, ...

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The editor sometimes is a bit slow when saving translations and auto-translated strings are not always responsive.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Software translations

  ### 38. A Great Tool for Translators and Project Managers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erdem U. | Small Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is an easy-to-use tool for translators. It helps translators and project managers work on a shared platform with various languages. We can access the TM and other features quickly, and other components allow us to create a collaborated work on a project.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I think it would be better to include a better spell-checking system to use with Crowdin or the export feature could be upgraded for better assistance for translators and project managers.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a translator, Crowdin's easy-to-use interface helps while working on various projects. Also, Crowdin connects project managers and other translators so we can solve a problem with collaboration.

  ### 39. Innovative platform for collaboration (eg. translations)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sami L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The platform can send you eg. e-mails with new strings to translate in the projects you are participing, and the hyperlink will open a web page which comfortably shows just those strings, filtered.

The platform also gives possibilities to help understand the contexts of the strings while working on them, but not all devs leverage this functionality as well as could be hoped.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Possibly the e-mail notifications could be even more fine-adjustable, like how many new strings to combine into one message. Also, Crowdin’s own user interface to more languages, including Finnish, and maybe via Crowdin platform itself?

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin simplifies the maintaining and developing of translations for various user and administrative interfaces.

  ### 40. A reliable platform with great UX & support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oksana N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I've used Crowdin for over 6 years and prefer it over any other platform on the market. It's been easy to set up for my clients, and intuitive and simple enough to use with volunteers, who often haven't got any experience with TMS's.
Their support is absolutely amazing - I always get help super quickly, no matter what, and they're open to suggestions re: new features, which I highly appreciate.

One of my client's businesses is an open source platform - they get to use Crowdin for free because of that. What's not to love?

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I wish I could preset vendors for certain projects' certain languages to speed up translations' ordering, but that's a super minor thing which I'm sure they'll sort out soon enough. Nothing else really.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes managing multilingual, continually updated content and vendors supereasy. I used to need a team of 10 to manage the workload, now I'm doing it all on my own.

  ### 41. I use it to help translate open source projects like Open Collective, Mastodon, etc.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Percy M. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

It is free for open source projects and the experience is higher than the average value of similar products.

It has nice built-in machine translation tools that help me simply determine the content.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

It's frustrating that it doesn't retain the original contributor's information when committing a commit to a Git project.

There is no syntax highlighting in the translation box, which is what makes long text with lots of syntax hard to recognize.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to submit translations to a number of open source projects. It saves me from having to manually go through the diff with the original text that has changed.

  ### 42. A good translation management tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ioana B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

- the kanban view where you can see the work progress
- automatic word count
- easy to assign tasks for translation and proofreading
- the translation memory is really helpful
- easy to add people and projects
- easy to communicate with translators in strings and comments

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

- it's integration with other tools can be difficult to use (google docs, django, figma), sometimes it dosen't work, it's buggy and it can create more work than help
- when changes occur in certain documents it;s not easy to readd them in Crowdin withour resetting the whole task, sometimes it grays out areas that still need translated and it can create a lot of chaos

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us keep all the translation work in one place from all the languages we use, with easy access to all the work that has been done. It's transparent for both the team and the translators.

  ### 43. Very good for localization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

It's very useful to use for helping to localize other projects as well as your own. Everything is easy to learn and frees up a lot of time for those who need good localization but have other priorities,

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The webpage is easy to get lost in, and the plugins can be shoddy

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's useful for getting translation and localization done fast, with little impact on developers, giving translations a fast turnaround time.

  ### 44. A game-changing tool for our organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aidas K. | Front End Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The platform itself is user-friendly and easy to navigate while the interface is clean and intuitive, making it simple for us to manage the localization process and deliver high-quality, localized products. The platform also provides a range of features, including version control, translation memory, and a glossary, which helps to ensure consistency and accuracy in our translations.

One of the standout features of Crowdin and one that really changed our localization process is Crowdin's integration with GitLab. The integration provides a seamless workflow, making it easy for developers and translators to collaborate. We were pleased how setting up and configuring the integration with GitLab was extremely simple and quick. The process of updating and translating our content has never been smoother thanks to this integration.

Crowdin also has a big and well written documentation page dedicated on covering almost every type of integration including their API, CLI tools and etc.. So in case you'd want to do a manual integration, you should be good to.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Sometimes the automatic language detection doesn't detect the correct language but takes it very little time to correct the target language. Regardless, in our experience Crowdin has proven to be a reliable and efficient localization tool that has exceeded our expectations so there is not much to dislike.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our biggest problem was finding a way to manage translations in a way where it would be easy for both developers and translators and Crowdin solved this problem for us. The GitLab integration that comes with Crowdin, took a lot of tediousness away from the developers, which means that we no longer need to extract source strings manually when the integration can do it for us.

  ### 45. Great resource for co-ordinating translations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fiona A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Excellent customer service and good tool. Great way to co-ordinate multiple tranlsations and received excellent service when I had questions about the tool.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Not understanding why all translators get a task to do when it is only assigned to one person

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Co-ordinating translations across multiple users, internal and external so that we get a single view of the text we need translated

  ### 46. Quality localization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arnoud K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I am really impressed by the QA tips. I am Dutch and my templates are in English, but the QA tips (even for Dutch) are awesome and really improve the quality of my product (like having a personal language teacher). I also love the integration with my Bitbucket repository and the way I can interact with other translators. And the hosted solution means I don't have to do any installation or maintanance.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The possibilities with Crowdin are enormous and finding your way through all features can be overwhelming. A simple introduction video, highliting the various features, would be appreciated.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I previously had a self-hosted solution, but the installation and maintenance was giving me headaches. I can now focus on the translations instead of the technology.

  ### 47. User friendly and easy onboarding

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fredrik L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I very quickly learnt how to use the platform with it's different features. It was a good way to collaborate with clients compared to traditional CAT tools. I am very satisfied.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I sometimes find it a little bit difficult to know exactly how much I am going to earn on a specific project (weighted word count). This is probably a user issue more than a tool issue.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin is allowing me to offer my translation services to a broader range of agencies. When my clients started using Crowdin I experienced an increased workflow with less administrative work.

  ### 48. Crowdin for small or large projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

What I like most is that Crowdin is easy to understand for users and you can quickly translate your projects using the integrations. If you have any problems or questions, you can get quick help from support.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

What I don't like the most is that if you exceed limits your project will be locked. If you then adjust everything to be under your limits again, your project will not be unlocked. You have to contact the Crowdin support.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps us to provide the right translation for our websites in different languages. Since we can't speak all languages, Crowdin allows us to get our users on board to help us with the translation.

  ### 49. Perfect software for indie games

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DOUGLAS D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is easy to translate games, even old people can use this website to translate whatever thing they want

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The only think missing is a live chat to talk with the team

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin solved my problem with collaboration, now my team can work with other people in real time, manking things more productive

  ### 50. Crowdin helped us a lot and supported many open-source project to localized in different countries.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent c. | CMO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The Easy way for us to transfer your website into multi-languages in a really short time. We added twenty languages to our website and product which helped us to get more SEO traffics in different countries.
We also used Crowdin to transfer our Docs and this is really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Well, I think the system is too smart so sometimes we get our website links and meta description translated into inaccurate words. However, we didn't find it's wrong until we fixed those issues manually. That's something I believe Crowdin can improve.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Crowdin to translate our website, docs and products to support different communities in many different areas. This helped us to gain many traffics from different countries such as Germany, Italy, and more.
