It is simple to use and straightforward for all team members involved, which helps us a lot. The automatic identification of new strings in the code is a big plus, because it reduces manual work and lowers the chance of missing translations. Crowdin also integrates well with our development workflow, especially by connecting the translation process directly with our code and source files. This makes collaboration between developers, product owners, and translators much smoother. From a performance perspective, the platform is reliable and efficient. It handles updates quickly, and the overall process feels stable even when managing multiple strings and translation updates. Without this automation, we would have to manually prepare and send files to external translators, track changes, and import translations back into the project. That would be much more time-consuming and error-prone. Crowdin saves us a lot of time, improves efficiency, and provides a clear return on investment by reducing manual effort and speeding up the release process. **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** Maybe not so simple for beginners, cleaner onboarding for beginners **What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?** Crowdin automates our localization process, identifying new strings and letting translators manage languages seamlessly, saving us a lot of time compared to manual file exchanges. ### 2. You can easily delete an old translation to keep the new one, making it easy to maintain consistency. I also love the ability to search for a specific term across all components. It’s a huge help in ensuring translation consistency and making targeted corrections. **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** Everything is beautifully designed. Actually, I didn't like the platform at first. I'd worked on platforms like Phrase, Matecat, etc., and I was kind of used to how they were set up. But I loved Crowdin once I started to understand how useful it was. It's a wonderful app. I highly recommend it. **What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main problem Crowdin solves is consistency. This app lets you go back years to standardize your work. In fact, the languages we use are called living languages because they change and evolve significantly. So having an application that allows you to update terms over time across all your components is wonderful. In fact, it’s very useful for companies that need to maintain their branding over the years and decades. It’s the ideal tool for those who want to stay in business for the long haul. ### 3. Its user-friendly interface, mobile support, and tons of additional modules/apps that increase the productivity and capabilities of the system are remarkable. **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** The current aim of the AI implementation leads to a lack of attention to bugs and issues. I don't think it's a coincidence that the platform started receiving freezes and drops in productivity with entering the AI-era. Also, seems that many new features are added without proper testing on live clients, and the purpose of changes is not always clear or has a win. Currently CrowdIn needs to focus on extending core (not through AI or additional apps) functionality, strengthening it, and then move to other features. For example, File sorting and progress handling in Editor or Dashboard. **What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?** CrowdIn fully covers translation management and helps to organize the best translation pipeline possible. ### 4. I can also easily see the machine translation suggestions on the right. **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** There should be a dedicated space on the right for inserting images so we can see where each sentence is being used in the app or website. The lack of context has already compromised the translation quality countless times. **What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to translate our website and app into multiple languages, separating the work between the web, iOS, and Android platforms. With relevant contextual information of the In-context editor, I need not translated blind. Managers attach screenshots to their strings, and it gives me an excellent starting ground to translate, keeping in mind if it's a header, a button, or a hidden tag. New AI assistant and support for Gemini or OpenAI, I get the required boost to translate faster while maintaining high quality. Moreover, desktop-friendly integration or a web interface has also made it easier to handle large-scale projects with ease. **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** It can be improved by providing a dedicated mobile app for translators for quick proofreading or responding on the go. The interface remains overwhelming for new users, which may be simplified a bit. Lastly, pricing has got to be competitive for individual freelancers. **What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?** You can easily localize multiple language projects, and businesses can find the best freelance talent in one place. They can chat, negotiate and finalize their projects. When you are dealing with an open-source CAT tool, you know you can expect to get endless customizations. Presently, it supports more than 40 file formats. You can work online or offline, individually or in groups. It is a win-win platform for businesses and freelance translators. ### 8. I believe this is a very useful feature since it can clear up potential semantic misunderstandings, huge props for that! **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** I have recently tried finding out when I joined the platform and particular projects. I couldn't find such information, and the oldest result I got for my contributions in the project didn't mention me explicitly joining at the time (which I believe should be visible in user activity). I think it would be useful if users could quickly see when they joined certain projects, perhaps it could be a little note located under the project name (and available only to the user and not anyone else) **What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?** As an individual who isn't officially involved with a company, I believe Crowdin is a great way to let ordinary people such as myself contribute to big translation projects and provide a service that is satisfying for both parties. ### 9. It's very customizable in many ways, and it's incredibly helpful to jump on a 1:1 call with someone from Crowdin to troubleshoot. **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** The UI is often confusing. There are a ton of features, but it can be challenging to find the one that you're looking for or to adjust the features in the way that works for your project. **What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to take our app from having two languages to 17, and we don't have native speakers on our team for any of the added languages. Most places charge a lot for the number of translations that we were adding—or they charge very little but don't offer any support or integrations. They're still the same consistent tool that I have using all these years. **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** Tech companies tweak and change their designs and interfaces often. Recently, CrowdIn changed the button 'Save' to the icon of a flop disk, and that was confusing to a translator that didn't save their translations at the end, so we needed to extend a deadline. **What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?** Managing a thesaurus of our software theme for 20 languages.
