"Pretty reliable collaboration with lots of useful extensions"
What do you like best about Confluence?

There are lots of useful extensions. Popular file formats like Ppt, Xls, Doc, Pdf are supported very well and can be previewed live without downloading. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

The table features are not very user-friendly. You can do lots of cool things with them, but something like an embedded excel spreadsheet with formula support would be much better than those complex macros currently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best enterprise documentation solution available in the market"
What do you like best about Confluence?

If your enterprise uses bitbucket, Jira, then confluence will be your obvious choice to maintain your application documentation. Because all these three apps are by attlasian the inetgration between them will be seamless. It's really easy to use and also has versioning feature. You can link your bitbucket, Jira everything in your documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

The page-load is a bit slower at times. If you are using all of the Atlassian products, then only it would be good for you. Need more orientation items like numbering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great content management partner!"
What do you like best about Confluence?

One place for all docs, blogs, policies, etc.. Increases collaboration, and version control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

Limited to apps that are built for it; while there is quite a large gallery of apps (add-ins) that you can choose from, that would be the one limitation, that you are limited to that gallery. But, there are vendors that will build custom apps for you if you don't see what you need already built. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"good solution to keep documentation together in a corporate environment"
What do you like best about Confluence?

its resemblance to a wiki page, how easy it is to create a new page and start creating content that then it would be available to the whole community in your corporate environment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

the markup options could be better, and sometimes it feels like they are far too basic and lacking standard options compared to other similar tools in the market Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great application for PRDs and documentation"
What do you like best about Confluence?

I have been using it for creating my Product Requirement Documents and creating a single source of truth for our organisation. Its really proven to be helful. Also, the creation and editing process is very very flexible process. Collaboration is very practical and sharing the document with the team is very good. Also the user interface and experience is very familiar to our team because its very close to Jira Management Software. I think in coming future its going to be one of the most loved wiki developer and editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

I think the issue with confluence is the reusability. A user cannot just add the same text again and again. Everytime you have to write the wiki document again. I think this is just ding extra work in some cases. For me sometimes I get very irritated becasue of this. But apart from this rest is vey good and after a few improvements I think I will be using it everytime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Tool for Documentation"
What do you like best about Confluence?

I like Confluence because it is easy to use and has various valuable templates. Works best when you use JIRA as well as you can link them back to user stories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

Attaching image is not as flexible as I would like it to be. It has a rigid grid system which makes it ugly when attaching multiple images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Favorite tool for writing and organizing documentation"
What do you like best about Confluence?

Long ago, I began using a Wiki to record interesting, novel, and useful approaches to solving problems. I decided I had spent too much time "re-finding" a solution that I had discovered months ago and needed again today.

I built a wiki, and promised myself that I'd take just five minutes and record a few notes each time I found a novel or useful technique. Over the years, that simple discipline has saved me DAYS of time.

That old Perl-based wiki is long gone. But the information lives on in Confluence. It is VERY simple to create pages, hierarchies, tag those pages, and share them. My most-used feature, though, is search. If I need to find something I wrote months (or years) ago, I need only to type a vague recollection of that information, and Confluence search takes me there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

Confluence lacks a spelling checker. Instead, it relies on browser-based spelling checkers, which are not always up to the task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
