Unfortunately for us, BB is much more suited to a younger consumer and particularly lends itself to established content creators.
This is not a platform on which to grow your existing community if they don’t already fit with the typical influencer demographic.
According to BB getting 500 ambassadors is key to success – we learned this after we signed up - and it has been a big hurdle for us.
Our community (although highly engaged and passionate) haven’t embraced the app (feedback has been negative) or the missions (which have struggled to get traction).
This is primarily because our community is not from a demographic who naturally engage in this way.
BB suits brands whose community's are predominantly Instagram/TikTok based or larger brands with big Instagram/TikTok communities – ours is not - and I think that some straight talking was omitted from our pre-sign up sales conversations.
BB is time and resource intensive which was made clear to us and is fine if your community is engaging with your missions but if they aren’t it’s not cost-effective and the tied contract makes extricating yourself difficult and expensive.
Whilst BB are on hand to give you help and advice with missions they only know what works for their successful brands so if your community is different to that of their other brands and you are struggling they don’t have much to suggest.
The platform itself is full of information, especially when creating missions - this can be a bit confusing and overwhelming. I think onboarding misses some key information which would help you to understand how to work the platform better and how to get around certain things when creating missions.
It does feel as though you’re left on your to figure out the missions which can be quite daunting unless you pester BB with questions.
As a small brand it was important for us to understand the finances properly and this was difficult to do. There are many aspects to the incentives and it’s difficult to keep track of what’s going in and out. This does trickle down in to creating enticing missions as it’s difficult to know what reward to give the missions that will incentivise the ambassadors without making a loss. For this alone, I think the platform is much better suited to beauty and cosmetics brands, FMCG and brands with smaller value items that can be sent out to the customer at a lower cost.
Some of the interactions regarding termination have been a little bit disappointing with BB’s first response being YOU CAN’T DO THAT until you ask where that’s written in the contract and then there is a climb down. I really don’t like this!
The 90 days notice period is too long and I think if BB targeted their customer acquisition to brands with the right type of community in the first place then they wouldn’t need to tie customers into an expensive contract. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The customer support in general is also incredible, they are always avaialbe to answer questions, help out Ambassadors and fix little things here and there that sometimes go awry. The only "negative" thing I can say about the tool is that I wish it was possible to create your own templates for missions so it would be easier to create certain missions onthe fly. Also, it is very easy to keep in touch with the community via the message center, so any problems ambassadors might encounter can be solved very fast to encourage growth from both sides.

We have ambassadors with mostly less number of followers. It would be greate if we will be able to get famous ambassadors with high followers count for our brand so there should be some option there where we as a brand can approch ambassadors.

The organisation and how seemless it is to pull the data is easy, the tech teams response to fixing and glitches & taking ownership of helping with ambassadors makes it a lot easier.
