"Great Tool for Centralized Media Insights"
4.5/5
What do you like best about CisionOne?

I use CisionOne daily to manage and organize large volumes of media content. I find its tagging and search functionality extremely helpful, as it allows me to track how many tags I’ve applied, locate specific content quickly, and generate detailed reports. I also appreciated the ease of the initial setup, which made onboarding simple.

CisionOne provides a streamlined and efficient platform for tracking media coverage and managing communications. Its intuitive interface and robust search capabilities make monitoring and analyzing content much easier, helping me stay organized and informed.

Overall, it is a highly intuitive and efficient tool that supports my work in content tracking and analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CisionOne?

Occasionally, the platform displays duplicate articles under slightly different titles, which can make tracking and reporting a bit confusing and which also makes it difficult to maintain consistent tagging across similar content. It would be beneficial if the platform offered a way to merge these articles so that tags could be applied consistently, improving workflow efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Michalea Enmark of CisionOne

Hi there,

Thank you for such a thoughtful review. It’s great to see how you’re using tagging, search, and reporting together to manage large volumes of content and keep everything organized. When those elements work smoothly, it can make a real difference in day-to-day tracking and analysis.

You also highlighted areas where tagging consistency could be improved. We’ve shared this input with our product team as part of ongoing enhancements.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience.

"Coverage Tracking Is Useful, but Reloads and Inconsistent Search Results Hold It Back"
2/5
What do you like best about CisionOne?

I like that it can track share of voice, and that it offers other coverage tracking capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CisionOne?

I don't like how pages need to reload to be able to see things refreshed, that not everything gets picked up consistently across searches, and that share of voice can only track mentions and not actual share of voice in the overall conversation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Media Monitoring, Needs Newsletter Flexibility"
4/5
What do you like best about CisionOne?

I find the customer service from our customer success team great. They are a wonderful team to work with. I also enjoy how easy tagging content is in the platform, and organizing searches is really straightforward, making it easy to stay organized. The searches they create are helpful, and our customer success team is great at editing those searches as needed. All these features speed up the workflow of press coverage monitoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CisionOne?

The newsletter template and deployment in CisionOne are not versatile enough for my needs. I want my newsletter to have a specific format, but CisionOne is not able to accommodate that. It would be great if there was an option to upload a template into the platform that could be used instead of relying on what is provided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Michalea Enmark of CisionOne

Hi Erin,

Thank you for sharing this. It’s great to hear that tagging and search organization are helping streamline your press coverage monitoring, and that the collaboration with your customer success team has been working well. Having searches that can be refined as needed clearly supports a smoother workflow.

We’ve passed your feedback about newsletter flexibility and custom templates along to our product team.

Thanks again for taking the time to leave your review.

"Unified Media Management with Intuitive Controls"
4/5
What do you like best about CisionOne?

I love the integrated nature of the CisionOne platform and the ease at which you can jump from one element to the other within the tool. It's mostly that many of the people I work with are not of the technical type, and the platform allows an intuitive nature from a user to take over. The controls and systems rarely need a deep dive explanation, which is a HUGE relief for me. The platform provides a unified front for media and social efforts, allowing brand managers to post their elements and enabling me to approve them before release. I also appreciate the robust media tool that CisionOne offers compared to other platforms. The initial setup of CisionOne was very easy, with no issues other than the expected elements of getting accounts set up or having systems acknowledge email domains. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CisionOne?

The only complaint I have is the system is a bit slow in responding when launched from an alert email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Michalea Enmark of CisionOne

Hi Todd,

Thank you for such a thoughtful review. It’s great to see how the platform supports collaboration across brands, particularly when colleagues rely on straightforward navigation and clear controls. Being able to manage approvals and activity within the same environment seems to make coordination much smoother.

We appreciate you highlighting the experience related to alert emails and will review this further internally.

Thanks again for sharing your feedback.

"Powerful Customization, But with a Learning Curve"
3.5/5
What do you like best about CisionOne?

I like how CisionOne allows the customization of the reports we create. This makes our daily work more effective, especially when making specific measurements that we need. Creating and adjusting the reports according to the needs of our routine is what I appreciate the most. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CisionOne?

I think that when the platform underwent this upgrade, some things that were very good in the Legacy platform were lost. Like the possibility of more different graphs and an easier way to handle Boolean searches. I feel that sometimes we need to have a very deep knowledge, and we end up relying a lot on our focal point. Moreover, the initial setup was not easy because you still don't have a great expertise in our region, which makes it a bit difficult because of the languages. The platform development team doesn't always listen to all the feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Michalea Enmark of CisionOne

Hi Tayane,

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. It’s great to hear that the flexibility in report customization is helping you tailor measurements to your needs and work more efficiently.

We’ve also taken your broader feedback about the platform experience on board and shared it internally. Input around usability and how the platform evolves over time is important as we continue refining the experience for our users.

Thanks again for your review.

"Amazing Dashboards, But Needs Better Support"
3/5
What do you like best about CisionOne?

I really like the amazing dashboards in CisionOne. They allow us to easily communicate results to our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CisionOne?

I find the chat support often unhelpful. Also, there was a learning curve with the initial setup, but we eventually got it set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Michalea Enmark of CisionOne

Hi Rachel,

Thanks for your review. The media lists sound like a valuable part of your workflow when identifying journalists and tracking coverage for clients.

You also pointed out some inconsistencies in results, which have been flagged for further review.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience.

"Efficient Media Monitoring with CisionOne"
3.5/5
What do you like best about CisionOne?

I use CisionOne for daily monitoring of media mentions, media outreach like press releases, and reporting tools that share the impact of my work. I like the new interface of CisionOne since I used the original Cision and find the new interface to be very user-friendly. I really appreciate the live monitoring feature and the 'list' feature. I also appreciate the function of seeing how many contacts opened or interacted with my press release. The initial setup, especially with the help of our Cision representative, was quite easy. I really like the ability to build lists that utilize the AI-suggested contacts similar to the ones I'm adding when creating the list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CisionOne?

The listening function still picks up mentions that aren't from my area or organization, that I have to manually remove to ensure accuracy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Michalea Enmark of CisionOne

Hi Shelby,

Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s clear that CisionOne plays a central role in your monitoring and outreach, from real-time tracking to list building and measuring engagement. The updated interface and support during setup also seem to have made the transition smooth.

You mentioned that the listening function can sometimes capture mentions outside your intended scope. We’ve shared this feedback with our product team. If you’d like, your account team would be happy to work with you to refine your monitoring parameters.

Thank you for your feedback.

"Efficient for Targeted Campaigns but Needs Active Journalist Updates"
4/5
What do you like best about CisionOne?

I like how specific my searches can get and the filtering features that help me narrow down considerably. The initial setup of CisionOne was easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CisionOne?

The recent activity tab is finicky. I can't always see what articles were recently written, so I have to manually search the contact name to see if they are still writing. Also, it's hard because so many journalists in CisionOne are no longer active; some haven't written for years. The recent activity tab is limited to 30 days. It could be more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Michalea Enmark of CisionOne

Hi Jillian,

Thanks for your review. It’s great to hear that the filtering and search capabilities help you run more targeted campaigns and find the right journalists to pitch.

You also mentioned some challenges with the recent activity view and keeping journalist information up to date, and we’ve passed this along internally.

Thank you for your feedback.

"Streamlines Media Tracking but Needs Improved Accuracy"
3/5
What do you like best about CisionOne?

I like that you can integrate CisionOne with Slack and have the updates come through on Slack. It's just a time saver because I've created a workflow, so the updates come through on Slack and then it's linked to a Google Sheet which automatically updates when I start a workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CisionOne?

It doesn't always update Slack, sometimes articles or syndications dont appear. So I do manually go in and check the website as well. I don't know how to niche down our search because we get a lot of coverage come through for our client, Moth, but it will be articles about festivals in America and things like that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Michalea Enmark of CisionOne

Hi Katie,

We appreciate you taking the time to outline how you’re using CisionOne. The Slack integration and automated workflow you’ve built with Google Sheets both sound like an efficient way to keep coverage moving without having to manually search.

We’ve shared this feedback with our product team regarding instances where updates don’t always come through and where refining searches has been challenging. Your account team is also here to help, they are always happy to review your search setup and explore ways to refine your results.

Thank you again for your honest feedback.

"CisionOne Falls Short on Usability and Support"
1/5
What do you like best about CisionOne?

I value the sending function, the outreach feature. It allows me to blast out a bunch of emails and hit a bunch of reporters at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CisionOne?

The user interface is terrible. Customer service can be challenging. The journalist database is full of garbage contacts and includes publications that have nothing to do with what we're looking for. It doesn't have very good contacts for journalists we actually care about. Searching the database is like something out of the early 2000s. The initial setup was incredibly difficult, characterized by terrible customer service issues that took months of work to get right. It was basically a textbook case for a disastrous rollout of a new product. The mobile product is not full-featured enough, either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Michalea Enmark of CisionOne

Hi Bryson,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Cision. We’re disappointed to hear your experience using CisionOne hasn’t met your expectations.

You’ve raised a number of points about usability, support, and the quality of the media database. We appreciate you highlighting these areas, and your feedback has been shared with the relevant product and research teams as we continue to strengthen the overall experience.

We have also passed along your feedback directly to your account team.

Thanks again for your detailed review.
