What is charles?

charles is a WhatsApp marketing platform made in Berlin. Its easy-to-use software enables businesses to drive revenue, retention and innovative customer experiences by complementing existing marketing channels with the reach and richness of WhatsApp. It does so by enabling CRM teams to set-up recurring flows and automations based on consumer specific events in a personalized manner. It supports businesses to stay GDPR-compliant and consistently iterate in this new channel while also integrating with select CDP/CRM, service and shop systems such as Shopify, Klaviyo, Emarsys and Zendesk to leverage data for their omnichannel strategy. charles' key products are 📣 Campaigns and 🚀Journeys. With Journeys, you set up and send engaging automated WhatsApp flows – like opt-in flows, WhatsApp product finders and Black Friday campaigns. It's simply a fantastic tool, an excellent way to interact with customers in the most effective way possible. What do you like best about charles?

Starting with WhatsApp Marketing and therefore with Charles, I experienced a tremendous amount of support and assistance when getting everything set up. We had many special requests but received a lot of help, even being able to put some new features on the list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about charles?

Like many other young software developers, there might be some more minor bugs every now and then. I would recommend testing more prominent features and getting in touch with Charles whenever trying out new projects to reduce errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about charles?

It is so easy to create campaigns, manage the community service and also to create automated flows. We built up a super easy leadgeneration process and are very happy with the results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about charles?

The analytics functions could be even more meaningful and clear. And from time to time there are problems with the flow builder. But these are small things that the team is already working on and supporting with clever solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about charles?

Recommendations to others considering charles:

Since apple and android are blocking alot of data for performance marketing uses it is essential to build your own data more and more.

For us its a safe bank to get in touch and sell products. Dedidcate enough time for that channel and you will be rewarded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about charles?

That we need about 3 hours for the communication before a sale on Whatsapp when it was 3 days with email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about charles?

Charles gave us the possibility to create a help hotline. We could answer frequently asked questions by sending auto-replies. We also used the campaign tool to inform all our participants of upcoming events. Overall our guests were happy that had the convenient possibility to ask for support via WhatsApp Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about charles?

We hosted an event and used Charles also to inform guests on short notice. Sometimes this was a bit tricky as we needed to approve the campaigns by WhatsApp. But better preparation on our side could have solved the need for quick approvals Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is charles solving and how is that benefiting you?

Charles was our tool to communicate with our participants at IdeaLab! 2021. They could ask any question and our team could easily answer them with premade templates. We also used the campaign tool e.g. for informing about delays in our schedule.
