What do you like best about Chargebee?

I really appreciate how easy Chargebee makes managing subscriptions and billing. The platform is intuitive and saves a lot of time by automating processes that would otherwise be a hassle. What do you dislike about Chargebee?

One thing I’d love to see improved is the reporting features. They’re functional, but sometimes they’re not as customizable as I’d like, and it can take a bit more work to get the data I need. What do you like best about Chargebee?

Chargebee is our system of record for subscription management. It's a great central resource to ensure that we know what a customer has purchased, paid and other relevant financial and payment matters over time. I like the ability to set up automated messages for a variety of customer purchase and payment scenarios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chargebee?

I wish Chargebee could improve:

- ease of use in building reports

- notifications: we've had issues with users not receiving their notifications and have had to manually pull these to be sent via other systems

- entitlements being stuck in system: I would love to be able to use an API to get entitlements from Chargebee into CRM and other systems in use by our team Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Chargebee?

The in-app features like dunning and one-time invoicing have been really useful for us to easily collect one-time charges from customers. The entity management feature which allows us to control customer creation and handle invoices effortlessly. Chargebee’s latest beta feature, e-invoicing, has significantly reduced our manual effort required for filing invoices. Now, we can simply enable it, and Chargebee takes care of the rest.

We use Chargebee for our daily signup, plan management, and recurring management. When talking about API integration with our system, it works well, and they have the best API documentation.

Also, I want to add that Chargebee has a great UI across all sections, like the checkout portals. We use the in-app checkout portal on our end to collect data. Whenever we need to implement any feature, their API documentation is extremely helpful. Chargebee's implementation process is straightforward and user-friendly. The platform provides clear documentation, and the setup guides make it easy to integrate with our existing systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chargebee?

Sometimes, support doesn’t have the answers we’re looking for, especially when it comes to customizing certain features to fit our needs. For example, with the 'Invoice status – Not Paid,' we wanted the option for one-time invoices to auto-void if payment fails, either through a workflow or a setting. However, this was not possible, and support denied the request. While I understand this feature can be updated via API, it would be much better to have a workflow rule to handle this automatically. What do you like best about Chargebee?

Chargebee has been an excellent asset to the company and filled the need we had perfectly! When we implemented a new group of subscription-based products, we also needed to implement a new method of managing these products for customers and Chargebee's flexibility with going monthly, every three months, quarterly, annually, etc was really the biggest sell for us. We've had minimal issues integrating with our already-existing software such as Salesforce and our internal C# applications using Chargebee's API, and when we did run into confusion that their documentation couldn't resolve, the customer support team has always been very responsive and helpful! What do you dislike about Chargebee?

I've had a few minor complaints here and there, but most have been resolved as Chargebee continues to update their product and features. Any issues I've run into have been resolved with a ticket to the support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Chargebee?

Chargebee UI is so simple to use and you get almost every required details from their customer and subscription page. The best part of Chargebee is how innovative their timeline feature is for development. With timeline feature, you can replicate almost every aspect of real subscription and payment scenario with ease. With webhooks, you can easily replay it manually if there is any issue. Chargebee also provide logs of all the events, including email, which helps a lot in day to day cases. The activity logs data is also something that is of immense importance to us and it is so easy to read the logs on who and what changed over the time period. What do you dislike about Chargebee?

The only issue I faced with Chargebee is the removal of the timeline enabled test account without notice. We had to reach out to the customer support to enable it back again and it took few days to resolve. It hampered our development process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Chargebee?

Chargebee is a really flexible platform for subscription management that’s always evolving. The customer support team is outstanding: they respond quickly and efficiently, always ready to solve any issues. They’ve often unlocked new features in development for us to test, or advised us on best practices tailored to our specific needs.

Technically, it integrates seamlessly with other platforms. Its API and webhook system are highly developed, making it easy to adapt to various workflows and business requirements. What do you like best about Chargebee?

Every time I think of something that we need, I research if Chargebee supports it and I'm happy to find that it does. I also like how their pricing model seems to be quite clear. Being able to use it for free up to a certain amount of revenue charged has been a great way for our small start up to test it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chargebee?

I haven't looked too much so maybe this exists but it would be nice to see some common use case documentation. For example, what is the exact process for getting a bulk subscription (i.e. a bunch of licenses associated with one account) into Chargebee. What do you like best about Chargebee?

Chargebee is a very advanced tool with many overviews, account hierarchy, billing portal, and more. Some features distinguish Chargebee from others. It's also an open solution where you can connect many different payment providers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chargebee?

We experienced many critical bugs which deleted payment data of customers, created a data leak by sending invoices to the wrong customers, and releasing features with bugs to production. The worst part is that their support is unreliable and doesn't take ownership. Your account manager is gone after the agreement is signed, and support doesn't follow through with their actions.

While Chargebee is an advanced solution, it has many bugs which are not acceptable for any self respecting company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Chargebee?

With simple integration, especially with .NET, Chargebee manages subscription-based payments effectively. Their API documentation is in its details thus making implementation a breeze. What do you like best about Chargebee?

What I liked best about Chargebee was its ease of managing subscriptions. It has a nice user interface, making navigation simple and intuitive. Additionally, it is very easy to use overall, which makes handling billing processes straightforward. It had a very good documentation, which made implementation very easy. What I disliked about Chargebee was that some functionalities I would expect it to have, it did not. Additionally, the mailing system was not how I liked it to be, and some functionalities were just not intuitive to use. Certain Integrations like our CRM System are not so easy to integrate.
