We are using Chargebee at our company and integrate with API and use webhooks to sync data in real time to our internal database. API and webhooks are very robust and easy to use, they are better implemented than other platforms we use, and are pretty good documented. Recently we reported bug in localization to Chargebee support and it was fixed very quickly on production. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The User Interface is very friendly. It is easier to understand the payment information on file, gives a detailed perspective of the plans and billing cycles along with the invoices and credit notes.As someone who spends 70% of my time daily on Chargebee, I cannot think of any other competitor currently. I have a couple of suggestions to improve as a product
- Whenever a Not Paid invoice has ACH initiated again, it should show as Payment Due and should not remain Unpaid. It is tedious for a user to always open that particular invoice and check if the payment is in progress in activity feed
- For whenever someone adds a payment method on file using the link shared with the customer, that person should receive a notification that says it was added successfully or not. Currently, as also discussed with an engineer, Chargebee does not have this functionality. Chargebee are customer ecentric, log a call and receive assistance driven with knowledge from experience! They work with you as a team, understanding your want and needs and do their best to assist!Their Solutions Team is always on tip top game. You can always trust them to have your back! Honestly, the system works. It provides a seamless backend for the sales side of things and it links up to the accounting in a way that is so much better than other solutions that I've used. And the icing on top is the support team. They are responsive, knowledgable and truly feel dedicated to user success. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It seems pretty easy to do the day to day activities of editing customer details, invoies, editing subscriptions and cancelling subcriptions.
Your customer support team has also been very helpful especially around the time we migrated to chargebee and had sooo many teething issues to deal with. We were able to receive support and in good time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There might be no honest review of downsides at the moment because my organization only just recently started using it so there is still a lot to learn.
In this regard, I would say there are so many things to learn which do not seem straightforward for someone who is a novice. I have had to visit your help centre several times to find directions on how to perform certain tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I appreciate about Chargebee is its comprehensive subscription management features. It seamlessly handles subscription renewals, upgrades, and downgrades, with or without coupons. I also love the automatic generation of invoices and credit notes, which can be easily managed by simply updating the invoice, The API documentation is very great, its very easy to implement the features and integrate it on our backend, Recently I created the customer support ticket and the team resolved my query, I did give them greate feedback, we frequently use chargebee. We were working on a requirement where they needed to issue the quotes without the customer, but chargebee doesn't provide that, also there are some of the features that we require but chargebee doesn't have, but overall, Chargebee is a great platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to use and customer support was really great. We have been using the Chargebee frequently since our subscription was integrated with the chargebee. The implementation part was so easy and have lot of features which is so helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Chargebee is absolutely perfect. It is super easy to use and very intuitive. The data structure is simple and very powerfull. I love the flexibility to customize it, add new custom fields and it offer different integration solutuons (Customer Portal, SSO authentication, OTP access, etc.). It is perfect to offer multiple subscriptions options (Add-ons, Charges, Upgrades, Downgrades) with many payment gateways and everything is standardize with simple and clear webhooks that you can test very easily.

The only thing that I would add is some support (instructions with real screenshots for example) to make the Google Merchant Approval easier when we want to add Google Pay into Stripe Gateway. Google is asking screenshots of the Payment Page (with the GPay Logo) that we cannot see until GPay is enabled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The team is exceptional, providing one of the best onboarding experiences I've ever had. The implementation team was frequently available during the onboarding process, sent regular status updates, and handled many time-consuming tasks that would have otherwise fallen on us. Chargebee enabled us to implement a more complex billing structure with ease, and their extensive list of features covers everything you could need for billing. The onboarding process is quite lengthy, but the time spent with the knowledgeable, patient, and attentive implementation team is well worth it, as they address every question and configuration needed, saving you hours if you were to research it all and try to implement yourself. While I wish there was a stronger focus on the UI for both their platform and native checkouts to enhance the user experience, they do support custom designs through their API integrations.
