As a brand in luxury, we have very high standards for our online user experience. The “true” headless nature of Centra has allowed us to meet these expectations. Getting up and running with Centra requires a slight degree of technical know-how. The true price of flexibility is that the entire site has to be built from scratch. In other words, project lead time and setup are usually more costly compared to (e.g.) Shopify if using a pre-built theme. Another thing that we had hoped for was that Centra’s GraphQL API would have been more mature and well-documented when initiating the project - this means that we had to go with a SOAP integration for now, that probably would have to be replaced at a later time. The company consists of a very tech-savvy group that makes sure the latest tech is invested into the product.
