I think it makes it easier to see or visualize the workflow of a project and to create a flow diagram and add parts of code on the diagram where you want to code. It can be used to integrate and orchestrate automated and manual tasks across people, systems, and devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
High maintenance cost, No additional support for an organisation and too many variables make us negative in performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In Camunda I got a huge number of integrations which I think is a great thing for me while building my custom flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It took me about one week to understand the basics of Camunda Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Camunda is one of the most used and preferred orchestration tool for complex microservice orchestration and long-running asynchronous process execution. It follows BPMN 2.0 standards and provides different notations to perform a wide range of BPMN operations in our existing process. It's Java friendly and you can easily customize it as per your requirement. We used Camunda Cockpit in order to manage the ongoing process and to perform the remediations. Camunda also introduced Camunda 8 version with the latest and enhanced capabilities like connectors and can be configured as self managed/SaaS tool. Easily it can be integrate with AWS, S3, REST protocol and DB's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
After the introduction of Camunda 8.0, its now supports worker implementation and migrating the existing C7 projects to C8 will be little complex initially. Also, a lot of features are coming up in C8 which was readily available in C7. Think, still C8 is catching up with all those feature and the process version upgradation becomes more important. Also, more emphasis has been given on the environment setup, as C8 requires Kubernetes and Dockers for working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Camunda gave us more visibility into our business processes and a way to write executable documentation. Camunda is one of the best workflow orchestration engines I've used; it's light weight and open source, and it not only creates the business but also helps create decision models, which can be easily integrated using Spring Boot Micro Services. If properly constructed, it also provides various troubleshooting possibilities within the system. It may serve as a one-stop shop for determining what the problem is and how to get it moving again in the correct way. I also like the ability to rapidly create reports that inform me how my process is doing and how much value it is bringing to my organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'd want to investigate whether we can construct a user or system task ad hoc in Camunda running an instance in the future, since this is something available in some of the older workflow engines that Camunda does not allow when migrating an application from the tool old workflow to Camunda. When we have an issue with Camunda, it is not always easy to discover the root of the problem. We are developing our grasp of how the system works (version in the program), but part of this is a filing with our organization and having adequate application management resources. It is a technical product that employs BPMN to simplify communication between the BA and the technical team, attempts to support multiple programming languages for customization, and aids in the rapid development of solutions. The platform is user-friendly and simple to browse and comprehend, and the BPMN modeler informs us of any errors in the workflow creation process.
Camunda 8 is a lightweight yet powerful workflow automation platform that helps businesses to streamline their processes and boost productivity, It stands out in terms of innovation when compared to other solutions on the market and is continually improving and taking into consideration new scenarios. It provides a number of features and tools that enable users to model, operate, monitor, and improve their processes, although it was designed with SaaS in mind, it also supports local installation, which is becoming increasingly rare. You cannot undo a deletion; for example, if I collapse a group and then undo it, the entire process is lost and cannot be retrieved. Camunda 8 still needs more documentation on its possibilities; originally, we had to figure out a lot of things by experimenting with different flows in the modeler. Any business procedure may be easily designed on this toll. All you need are a few clicks and drags and your process will be ready in no time; it is a simple, efficient, and dependable tool; and the external task pattern is fantastic since it allows you to deal with different programming languages that execute external jobs.
Camunda integrates very well into our application landscape, is easily adaptable to different business use cases, is simple to use for developers and adapts well to high-performance processes, and allows for the easy creation of reusable components using the Connector framework, making Camunda the ideal solution for digital transformation projects. The task UI is a little basic, history cleanup can be improved, and certain features like authentication and permission should be better handled out of the box, but you can still develop your own plugins. Multiple tenancy is not officially specified, but the team is working on it; there are a few workarounds, but they are not currently reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Camunda is a robust system our softwares can rely on. We're relying heavily on process orchestration even for system processes and Camunda excels at this.
Once you're familiar with BPMN it's pretty intuitive UI-wise and bridges a gap between developers and more business-minded people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Besides the execution engine they're having a product Optimize which isn't nearly as evolved as Camunda itself. I'd really like to see it ramped up to speed too.
Truth be told we're using Camunda 7.x and will do so for a foreseeable future, as 7 and 8 are like different products, we can't afford such a transition yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The connection between business and IT is a game changer in designing solutions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is quite difficult to understand the technical stuff when you want to go beyond the basic patterns Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
# Processes are modeled using BPMN standard. That is all you need for your business to understand, so everyone from business down to the developers can use the same model. The development end result is a BPMN model readable by everyone - basically It's the documentation that gets executed.
# Very versatile due to it being Java based appliaction - can be integrated to just about any system.
# Can support very high throughput.
# Development is a breeze - you can try out concepts easily and immediately test them on your own machine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
# Due to license poliitcs, Enterprise version can be hard to sell - it's not the priciest but then again it's not so cheap either. You need to have a good business case - select the right process when running Camunda. Using it for processes which do not really make you money but are frequent, will cause some troubles and necessary negotiations with Camunda since you pay for process instances etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
