As legal billing become increasingly complicated, voluminous, and (let's be honest) abusive, Brightflag helps restore the balance of power in the attorney-client relationship to the client. It become much easier to review bill, identify problematic entries, and immediately request write-downs.
It is impossible to overstate how empowering it is as a large-scale consumer of legal services, particularly litigation, to know more about your law firm's bills that the billing partner, the managing partner, or literally any employer at the firm.

I appreciate the system's simplicity. It facilitates the effortless creation of matters. Additionally, I value the Learning Center for its comprehensive and informative nature. Brightflag has dramatically reduced the amount of time our legal team spends reviewing invoices. Further, we have been able to reduce our legal spend. The AI review has flagged many instances of billed hours that do not comply with our billing guidelines. Brightflag makes the procecss of rejecting these charges easy and manageable. The reporting tools are easy to use, customize, and provide a real time look at our spend, helping us to better manage our budgets.
We have also recieved excellent support from the Brightflag staff. They were always available to answer any questions during the RFP phase, and made implementation a breeze. Besides the great platform for easy matter management and invoicing, it is very customisable to collect the data needed for your company. The support provided by the team while implementing was great, but most suprised and greateful for the continued support while using the platform. Monthly check-ins and their recommendations how to get more out of the platform have been appreciated.

Brightflag is intuitive and nearly runs itself. We are a very small legal department with limited resources. Instead of being a drain on our resources, Brightflag saves us time. Our attorneys who approve invoices in the system quickly learned Brightflag, and we are not constantly being bombarded with questions on how to use the system. As a young application, it is understandable that there are a few areas which can be improved. The UI still has some legacy pages, although some of those are being updated. I would love to see more reporting capabilities and more abilities for admin users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is my 2nd time with BF and it's constantly evolving and improving to meet the needs of organizations and its customers. The product itself is truly best in class, but it's the customer service team that makes the difference. This team knows what they are doing. The fee model is a little inflexible because it's based solely off of total incoming invoicing dollar values. Some invoices are just more intensive than others, but the fee structure for the system is tiered and based on the total dollar amount. In theory, however, if this system does what it's supposed to do, we should be able to stay in the lower tiers for fees OR be able to scale our services so efficiently that jumping into the next tier makes sense. The functionality is perfect for our needs, and everyone (legal department & law firms) transitioned easily to Brightflag. Our Chief Legal Officer is so pleased about the ease of use. Also, we implemented it in less than a month. The staff at Brightflag, from my first call with Richard Sheffield/Adam Moursy to our implementation and ongong support calls with Nicole Clauberg/Sharon Palchek, have each been amazing. Not much to be said here. Reporting could be significantly better, and some basic UI cleanup could be done, especially around the navigation bar. Excited for the new invoice view which will show line item narratives first (at the top of page). I think the company could do better to take advantage of in-person meetings with clients, but they generally go above and beyond year-round to provide top-notch virtual support via their Support team and our assigned CSM.
