Customer service is excellent. The support team and customer service manager are always quick to reply and follow up. Their customer success team assists not only during implementation but works with our team to continuosly improve the system and our internal processes.
I also like how easy the law firms are able submit invoices in the system. Our prior ebilling application had poor customer service and I, as the administrator had to support all our law firms with submitting their invoices in the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Reporting is too simple. I need to be able to create more complicated reports. I also need the reports to filter by user attributes.

Brightflag has become an integral part of our day to day lives within our legal function. We have a complete handle on all legal spend and the value that we have gained through monitoring reports and detecting and acting on trends that the system provides, has been extremely helpful. We recently conducted a full review of our legal network of firms and we used three years worth of Brightflag data to shape our Request For Information process. The insights that we gained from the Brightflag platform gave us the leverage to get the best possible return from our Law firms and we now have a streamlined and highly competitive Panel of firms to choose from The collaboration between our two companies has also been a major factor in our success. Our discussions have always been very open and we always seem to resolve any issues quickly. This software does not get stale, they are continously improving and adding features that will help you with your ebilling platform. This program is easy to use and if you are in need of assistance, they are always there for you. This starts at the implementation of using the platfrom because they are with you every step of the way and will assist even if you are changing from another platform.

We are now more than a year into using Brightflag, and it has completely changed the way our department is run. Not only do bills/payments flow seamlessly, but even more importantly we have a wealth of data at our fingertips. Data about the distribution of our cases, our financial spend on outside counsel and related vendors, and data on how quickly and effectively firms are settling cases. We are now past the point of simply aggregating data, and have already seen our approach in leveraging the data available pay dividends. This data is key in formulating our budget and selecting and evaluating outside counsel. Additionally, the customer success team is an invaluable partner and are always independently suggesting innovative ways to continue our mission of driving success in the company through our legal department. No downsides - if there are ever kinks (and there rarely are) Brightflag support is unparalleled. They are easy to get a hold of, quick, thorough, and always a pleasure. There are some additional features I wish were available (like the ability to select many attributes from a dropdown), and the ability to pay portions of a bill while the rest are under dispute, but we are pleased with the updates made on an ongoing basis. Brightflag enables our company to analyze details of all legal invoices on one platform. We can easily compare spend, which enables us to negotiate on pricing. Brightflag also automatically rejects our prohibited expenses, which it was difficult to keep track of pre-Brightflag. Brightflag can be integrated with a company's AP, which we did to have invoices and invoice details exported to Concur, which is saving us significant time. We have found that we are saving more money than what we pay for the Brightflag platform. Brightflag also has excellent custormer support. The only thing i iwish Brightflag had is a more robust system to run reports. It is good, but our firm wants to run more detialed reports than what Brightflag offers. As a solution, Brightflag helped us intergrate data with PowerBI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- The new invoice page view is good, I like the tasks summary it's very helpful and not too busy to look at
- 'Reports' is a very good option, showcasing live helpful data
- The vendors team is very quick and adds new vendors to the system in no time

Small things with big impact on both time and efficiency:
- the dropdown menu in "switch a matter" within the invoice will show ALL the matters in the system and not just the ones relevant to the vendor + no indication which matter belongs to which vendor
- No 'select all' almost anywhere but the timekeepers
- No option to export specific pending timekeepers, even when ticking the boxes of the relevant ones, it will extract all the pending rates
- No option to export matters, only via the report builder, which seems a bit of a work around considering I can filter the matters already
- Matters ref is different between client and vendors, so sometimes it's hard to communicate this way
- Kinda annoying but sometimes when entering text to a search line you need to click 'enter' and in other places you need to actually move the cursor to the search button and click
- Not being able to edit *anything* in the vendors' users area, only disabling. Generally speaking, I feel like there should be a better way to give client admins the option to resend an invitation to BF in cases where the vendor missed or can't find the original one. It's not clear enough today
- Many vendors that lack the experience with eBilling often struggle with understanding the auto-rejections. I feel like BF should find a new approach to it, maybe adding a short explanation along with the rejection

I use Brightflag every day and I think the flags are very useful, the software is very intuitive and easy to use. It makes the everyday use of the software very easy and sometimes even fun (:

The fact that we as admins do not get an email notification when time-keeper rates are submitted makes us miss it sometimes, same for matter requests.
The fact that we cannot assign approval on time-keeper rates to the lawyer in charge of the firm and it is all handled through the admin user makes it sometimes difficult to "chase" the lawyers for approvals.
There are a few more features that needs tot be added in my opinion but i would still like to mention that these are not "dislikes" on my end, these are just improvment to an already great product (: Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

WIth our more complex alternative billing setups with our outside firms, Brightflag doesn't have the flexibility to track or monitor, so for some matters, it is a manual process for our team to manage. And with the matter setup/management, I think there are areas that need improvement for more efficient workflow (but my understanding that these things are on their development roadmap). Platform is intuitive and will be scalable, easy visibility to savings, top notch data reporting capabilities and potential. Every member of the Brightflag team I have met has been incredibly personable, helpful, and genuinely kind. Our partner lawfirms also seem to have an easy job getting their questions/issues answered promptly and fully by Brightflag Customer Service. An extremely streamlined and easy platform that we use daily, both by my team and our suppliers. Their team is highly attentive, responsive, ready to assist, and welcomes any feedback. While transferring systems is difficult, our implementation representative was very informative and supportive, making it the easiest system transfer I've experienced. Brightflag is an easy-to-use, intuitive interface that even users without training were able to use and adapt to from prior system. There are very helpful features (seeing accruals) and field names on reports that make sense. The customer support is excellent -- helpful and responsive. A pleasure to deal with them.
