Bright Data offers a variety of tools that help with a wide range of challenges. We’ve found that when we run into an unexpected problem, Bright Data already has a tool or resource that can address it directly. The UI is also easy to use, and there are plenty of guides that walk us through using new tools or approaches we may not have tried before. The customer service has also been great. Sometimes it’s hard to know which tool or process is the best solution for a given challenge, because there’s so much to sort through. In many cases, several tools could address our problem, but we don’t really know the most effective route until we’ve tried a couple of options. There are plenty of guides on how to use the tools, but there’s much less guidance on choosing the right tool in the first place. Additionally, when downloading a large snapshot it will ask you to try again in 10 seconds but in reality you will need to wait 30 minutes or more to download the snapshot. I appreciate Bright Data for providing many different levels of solutions and using the latest technologies. It's nice that students can scrape in JavaScript or work from Python with Scrapy or Selenium, which can be set up conveniently. The Bright Data proxy manager offers great insights into the scraping process when used locally.
