What do you like best about BindHQ?

I love the fast and specialized reports to review production. It saves us money, we’ve seen a decline in our overall overhead costs - we’re becoming more effective, which is good as the industry squeezes margins. I also really like the dashboard with visual representation of producer metrics. We’re a really data driven MGA, and BindHQ makes it increasingly easy to get the right data to us in a format that makes perfect sense - and to make quick decisions off the back of it. What do you dislike about BindHQ?

I can’t wait until they connect BindHQ up with a really powerful BI tool so that I can really slice and dice my data - I’ve been promised that it’s on the product roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BindHQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

This cloud-hosted solution empowers access from anywhere in the world, and it comes with state-of-the-art cybersecurity controls to protect agency-client data. Compliance is really important for me, since I’ve seen systems previously in my career where it wasn’t taken seriously and there was no tech enablement for this. What do you like best about BindHQ?

BindHQ is the platform our MGA uses for account filing and so much more than that. It is the most important software we use in our day to day activities. Our MGA uses it across the entire company as it is the place where every employee in the MGA can access all relevant information. BindHQ allows us to work as a distributed team by giving us one platform for account underwriting and servicing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BindHQ?

A few places where the product could benefit from some improvements would be in the search function and the email subject line functionality. For example, the search function is quite sensitive and not responsive to typos. Some additional flexibility would really help in terms of locating insureds and accounts in the system. Also, users are not able to change the subject line of an email after 15 minutes. It's great to be able to correct some information in the emails, but the time limit seems a little arbitrary to me. All around, I am really happy with BindHQ and recommend the product because of its speed, feature delivery, and convenience! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BindHQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

Some great features of BindHQ include the option to copy the BindHQ email to document our correspondence with retail brokers, insurance carriers, and other third parties. It is so important for our MGA to keep important documentation about our correspondence, and BindHQ allows us to operate efficiently and diligently. The software is also easy to navigate. I really like the aesthetic of the user interface, coupled with the spacing of the pages. It's really easy to search and find accounts from the top of the screen in BindHQ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BindHQ?

1) UX - BindHQ "BHQ" offers a modern 21st century take on an insurance operating system with users quickly and intuitively picking up the key functions of BHQ. The user friendly layout & particularly the search feature are extremely helpful. I particularly love the robust search function. I use it daily to track down accounting information such as check #’s, vendors, & memos.

2) Bank Reconciliation – The bank reconciliation module has saved me tremendous time (no excel recs), plus it is super simple. Just select the bank account, the date, and final balance then it is point & click for the reconciled items. I love pulling a .csv file to review those large cumbersome deposits that have over 100+ entries to them.

3) Bill Payment – It is quick and easy to handle bill payments to vendors from selecting the vendor to choosing your expense GL and finally payment options. It is simple & clean.

4) Don't forget the mobile, cloud based computing that allows flexibility in work environment for every team member. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BindHQ?

1) Bill Credits – Currently in BHQ, a bill credit is separate from creating a regular bill, but I think an option to directly create a bill credit from the bill expense (click an option menu and click “create bill credit”) would save time & reduce errors.

2) Bank Reconciliation – Currently in BHQ, a voided receipt/payment in the bank reconciliation module is not highlighted as voided. So, when an item is in doubt, one would have to directly look at each item to confirm if voided or not. If BHQ could highlight or mark a voided receipt/payment in the bank reconciliation module that would allow me to quickly zero out the voided item and its respective void.

3) Accounting & Finance Reports – Currently BHQ offers a variety of financial reports, but I would love to see reports further enhanced, particularly the 1099 report. I think it would be helpful for the 1099 report to pull a notes section to act as reminder for special cases such as agents wanting 1099’s mailed to a different address on file. What problems is BindHQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is helping solve access with cloud-based computing. It allows more features to be handled in one application versus using 4+. It has helped the company hire folks from all over America that are not constrained by their geographic location ~ It allows hiring folks on merit not location! What do you like best about BindHQ?

I work on a lot of premium financing arrangements for producers at our MGA and the BindHQ premium financing integrations with preferred vendors are a dream! BindHQ makes my job easier because I only need one screen to get most of my work done and can be more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BindHQ?

Sometimes I wonder if the system does too much - might it be better if it focused on just one part of the platform. I am in accounting, however, so it may just be my perspective of the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BindHQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a leader in premium finance, the problems that this industry faces is how much time is wasted on getting a premium finance agreement. Especially if you have your own in-house finance company. One of the benefits that BindHQ has is the ability to generate a finance agreement based on the quote by the production team. Real time-saver here! With every quote producers write it generates a PFA, and this PFA is linked to my outside finance company system. Pretty cool! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BindHQ?

Fast file set up and the ability to quickly bind and invoice Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BindHQ?

The accounting function needs work. Agency should get monthly statements rather than single invoices on every file. At this point, it is a must for this business.

Also, the risk data inputs is not necessary as it does not do anything for us. I get that we are building toward issuance and other functions, but without the end product, it just makes more work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
