BigTime has helpful features that help monitor and ensure staff productivity. As a business owner it gives us flexibility with quick and easy access from any browser. This means we can use the software anytime, anywhere! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the efforts are well-intentioned, when updates are rolled out, they sometimes feel rushed and untested. As a result, we have had challenges with updates not working properly in different browsers. Once we navigate that path however, we have found the updates to be helpful. The integration with Quick Books is clunky and forced. Some information is entered into Quick Books first and in other instances it must be entered in BigTime first. This creates significant confusing and is leading to dissatisfaction with BigTime. Receiving support is piecemeal and we triage by dealing with one issue at a time. There is not adequate support to troubleshoot and it is time consuming. It is costing us money to try to resolve issues, which should not be the case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about Big Time is their Dedicated Team to help you through the process, no matter how hard or how long it takes to get the time keeping and invoicing exactly the way we want and need. I also really like the way the Big Time team works with each other to help their clients. We have been using Big Time for a couple of years now and won't even consider switching. As a small architectural firm, we struggled to find a time keeping and invoicing program to fit our needs. Their program is not too complicated or overly simplified. You can customize everything according to the company's needs. Also, customer service helps you through Zoom calls, which is much better than just the chat. And the follow-up to the requests.

Creating Reports is difficult because sometimes the information is not clear, or some columns have the same name, and bring different information. also, sometimes, the reports have calculations that don't match the information on the dashboards. Sometimes is not that easy to use. I would like to know better how bigtime does its calculations. I added a line in one invoice and then it adjusted amounts but the remaining budget per line got messed up and i didn't know how to fic it and the customer support team either. We like how BigTime is better formatted for project management and integrates well with our QuickBooks platform. It has helped us automate processes that we used to do completely manually, spending countless hours. Now with BigTime, its done in minutes! The only downside we had was in transitioning all of our data into BigTime. Not that it was BigTime's fault but rather the downside to any large scale transition. Since BigTime is geared for better project insight and metric tracking there are many project level features that need to be properly mapped which was also just time consuming. Where to start? Pricing is high for business under 5 employees. Even though its advertised as so much a month you get charged more. The training progress is on your own. Customer service is poor at best. Unable to speak to a human. Issues will billing, invoicing takes weeks to get fixed. Terrible customer service. It takes days to weeks to get a question answered. We just implemented Big Time, which took a few months because of integrations with other software, importing of data from really old CCH project management software and designing some pretty specific reports. The implementation team was wonderful and easy to work with. The software is easy to work with. Billing and project tracking is wonderful. Built in AI reporting is amazing. BigTime offers some of the best one product package project management and time tracking features that do not require use of multiple tools. It’s worked very well for us as a way of tracking work hours as well as managing ongoing client invoicing. With the reporting capabilities, we also know how projects are moving along. BigTime’s user interface may be a bit overwhelming to use at first, but this is really one side of the stick. It’s got a lot to offer, but at times it can be confusing to navigate through them. Also, the integration helped, but it took more time that we expected when first setting it up. One more thing I like about BigTime is the easy way they unify several processes into a single platform. There is everything neatly accounted for, dividing the tracking of billable hours or managing client projects. Collaborating is a lot easier because everybody has access to the same information. The biggest con that I’ve run across with BigTime is the more rigid or inflexible task management system. The software does an amazing job of organizing time tracking and invoicing but I feel the task management can be a bit rigid at time. The system may not be as flexible as I would like when I have to break a project down into step by step or add specific sub tasks. It can get a little bit complex doing workflows.
