Product Description

Auvik makes network management easier. By automating and simplifying network management, Auvik’s cloud-based software improves the efficiency and capacity of IT teams and helps protect their business from network risk. Today, Auvik helps IT teams establish true visibility and efficiency across more than four million devices on over 55,000 networks worldwide.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Traditional network management systems aren’t designed to deploy quickly and aren’t easy to use or understand. Many systems require an IT pro to purchase expensive on-premises hardware and software for every location they manage and hire a full-time employee to learn, understand, and use the system. The existing systems aren’t designed with today’s networks in mind.

With Auvik, it’s completely different. Our cloud-based network management software can be deployed in minutes, and its simple, intuitive interface can be used by even the most junior technician on an IT team. It doesn’t require deep network knowledge to use and it’s designed to scale with a business.

What do you like best about Auvik?

Almost no manual setup. Auvik provides multiple ways to set up their collector, on various platforms such as Windows, docker, or a VM. Once set up, it automatically finds the devices on the network and just works. For example, it instantly detected that one of our printers was out of toner after installing the collector. Auvik also provides integration with specific devices/software such as pfSense and FortiOS. Overall, it offers a wide range of features and is easy to setup and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Quite expensive, pricing is based on the number of billable devices Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Auvik helps me manage all the network devices/systems in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's very easy to use requring some basic snmp credentials and ssh keys to easily integrate into existing enviroments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The pricing model is a bit high being per network element making things like managed switches raise the price compared to unmanaged ones even if the features aren't used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

I love the automatic network map and the alerts it picks up that other tools miss such as reported duplex mismatch and unneeded trunk ports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Auvik is everything you need in a network tool, however it also supports servers and hypervisors. I dislike that detailed visibility of these devices aren't so upfront when selected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

The key use for us is to provide a monitoring system that is relatively easy to onboard and navigate, key features for us are the device dashboard that provides a great breakdown and the Alerts notification channels integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

The Map view can be a little clunky at times when dealing with a large scale of devices in various sites being quite slow to navigate, and can be unclear when we have a large amount of devices populated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our monitoring also consists of another solution that is not as easy to use and doesnt visualise the network in the same way, we find this easier for our system admins to track the issue and let the technicians know more specifically which device and location is a fault Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
