Product Description

Auvik makes network management easier. By automating and simplifying network management, Auvik’s cloud-based software improves the efficiency and capacity of IT teams and helps protect their business from network risk. Today, Auvik helps IT teams establish true visibility and efficiency across more than four million devices on over 55,000 networks worldwide.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Traditional network management systems aren’t designed to deploy quickly and aren’t easy to use or understand. Many systems require an IT pro to purchase expensive on-premises hardware and software for every location they manage and hire a full-time employee to learn, understand, and use the system. The existing systems aren’t designed with today’s networks in mind.

With Auvik, it’s completely different. Our cloud-based network management software can be deployed in minutes, and its simple, intuitive interface can be used by even the most junior technician on an IT team. It doesn’t require deep network knowledge to use and it’s designed to scale with a business.

What do you like best about Auvik?

Port mapping for net devices, when having issues with a known devices or even finding a device what is rogue on the network has Auvik has proven to be super helpful in tracking these issues / devices down. Backups are probably the second biggest part I like, being able to pull up side by side configs and compare changes have helped solve many problems, especially when clients have made changes and not saved then had a power outage, with the click of a button we can re-push configs. Being able to monitor specific interfaces, like the WAN on a firewall or the service providers gateway have also proven to be super helpful in seeing where issues may be right off the bat. Third best would be analyzing traffic and being able to catch broadcast issues and narrowing them down to specific ports and devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Cant think of any. Auvik has been helpful is so many ways there arent really any downsides. If I had to say something on this, we have had issues with Auvik messing with Voice networks, but voice traffic in itself can be very temperamental, if your networks are segmented correctly after the initial scan just stop scanning voice networks. What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Being able to track devices to ports when we dont know where they are has been super helpful. Traffic issues on WAN have also been found. Also having backups on hand with change logs is a HUGE benefit. WAN monitoring has also been a great tool. We've been able to implement monitoring on the gateway of our clients internet service providers so that when tickets are generated we can more accurately determine where the issues are checking for power outages or going straight to getting the providers involved to see if there are outages. What do you like best about Auvik?

Auvik helped us bring visibility to our network infrastructure, prior to that we have spent more time to trace our assets and troubleshoot. Also, Auvik is a very reliable tool to deal with to monitor and document network devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Auvik covers all aspects of monitoring and documentation, the only thing I can say is the way that we need to deploy our networks is by separating networks by different profile instead of combining multiple remote networks on one profile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Auvik gives me the advantage of documentations, visibility, troubleshooting, reduce the time of management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

Ease of deployment; monitoring and alerting capabilities; reporting; easy invoicing for individual tenants/clients. It is easy to share the console with team members and customers alike when demonstrating problem areas or proposed solutions - it doesn't overwhelm even the less technical minded. The documentation features are great for creating KB's and customer information that any team member can use in a troubleshooting scenario. And, the speed and responsiveness of the support engineers is tremendous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

The mapping could be more robust - it is a bit basic, but functional and does the job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Very quick to alert on problems; the ability to drill down right to the source of the problem is very impressive. When an alert is triggered you can go straight to the device in question, and the problem is defined for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

The network discovery features. So many clients we are on-boarding think they know how many devices they have on their network, and they are always surprised when we report back to them the real number based on Auvik's scan results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

There is no software deployment tools. Something this powerful that can effectively communicate with an entire network would benefit from being able to deploy software on a massive scale to endpoints and servers alike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Auvik:

Auvik is best paired with a true RMM tool, such as Ninja or Pulseway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Network discovery, dynamic network typologies, and up/down status alerting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

It's very good for finding problems in the network. And getting a map of the network.

And the automatic save, and version management, of configurations of swiches, router are great :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Not much, but if you have a large map it fells a bit slow to display the map. But it can be that I don't have a good structure, yet, of my cutomers :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Auvik:

I am most using Auvik for network control, but if you have a big organisation involve your client, server and printer teams as well. I think they also would like to see what information Auvik find in your network! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

I work as a MSP, and it's a very good to find out a new customers network, as long as you get there SNMP credantials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

Auvik gives us information about the network, not just the PCs and servers, that we manage. It helps us troubleshoot problems faster, document the networks with more granularity and monitor critical events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

It's not the cheapest option in the marketplace and the add-ons tend to cost more rather than just be included into the base price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Most RMM tools do a good job of managing PCs and servers, but Auvik does a great job of helping you "see" the network completely, which means you can spot problems faster and troubleshoot remotely without having to roll a truck to the client site. Network performance issues are the most frustrating things to resolve because many times it's hard to figure out what's causing the issue or bottleneck. Auvik let's you find those issues.
