Product Description

Auvik makes network management easier. By automating and simplifying network management, Auvik’s cloud-based software improves the efficiency and capacity of IT teams and helps protect their business from network risk. Today, Auvik helps IT teams establish true visibility and efficiency across more than four million devices on over 55,000 networks worldwide.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Traditional network management systems aren’t designed to deploy quickly and aren’t easy to use or understand. Many systems require an IT pro to purchase expensive on-premises hardware and software for every location they manage and hire a full-time employee to learn, understand, and use the system. The existing systems aren’t designed with today’s networks in mind.

With Auvik, it’s completely different. Our cloud-based network management software can be deployed in minutes, and its simple, intuitive interface can be used by even the most junior technician on an IT team. It doesn’t require deep network knowledge to use and it’s designed to scale with a business.

(Original )Information
What do you like best about Auvik?

Once I set the collector up on a local machine, it quickly discovered my networks and scanned the devices. Identified the switches and started to monitor the ports. Created a visual network map at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

It is a cloud service that can see into your network, and the cloud has the ability to tunnel into your switches via SSH or Telnet. This poses a significant security risk that I am not sure I am willing to live with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Monitoring uptime of devices, high loads, and device configurations and backups. This greatly simplifies gathering all of this information and presents it back in a pleasant visual manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With the overview map I can easy see the data flow and that recently helped us to identify a server that was eating up all upload bandwidth.

Also with the alarms for CPU and memory we were able to identify and solve faulty hardware on our devices Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

Auvik is great at now only representing a network quickly and easily, but also allowing you to track critical components, alert for issues, build reports, enable backup of critical systems and that barely scratches the surface, for a very reasonable price. Combine this with a plethora of support resources and training and you've got a package which will last any business for years to come. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

There can be a bit of a steep learning curve for some of the advanced features, but that's what the built-in training modules are for. Also it'd be great if you could customise your network map to move certain modules for better legibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Auvik was purchased for the company with what started off as a small business need of internet traffic monitoring. Thanks to savvy support staff at Auvik and a free trial of the software, the insights obtained gave the decision makers even more reason to purchase it and now we have a very feature rich solution which has only just started to show off its potential.
