Product Description

Auvik makes network management easier. By automating and simplifying network management, Auvik’s cloud-based software improves the efficiency and capacity of IT teams and helps protect their business from network risk. Today, Auvik helps IT teams establish true visibility and efficiency across more than four million devices on over 55,000 networks worldwide.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Traditional network management systems aren’t designed to deploy quickly and aren’t easy to use or understand. Many systems require an IT pro to purchase expensive on-premises hardware and software for every location they manage and hire a full-time employee to learn, understand, and use the system. The existing systems aren’t designed with today’s networks in mind.

With Auvik, it’s completely different. Our cloud-based network management software can be deployed in minutes, and its simple, intuitive interface can be used by even the most junior technician on an IT team. It doesn’t require deep network knowledge to use and it’s designed to scale with a business.

It was easy to set up and start monitoring my network. This is a great place to check the health of your network devices. I like the way it auto-discovered the machines that I had. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The dashboard and over all health of the network and devices could be improved. I have used Logic Monitor in the past, and their dashboards and alerts were very customizable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I want to ensure I have excellent uptime for those I serve. So knowing when a device is down or a server is down is very helpful to be faster at reactive service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

MSP friendly - Allowing for multiple clients, with multiple sites, to be managed. The email based alerts make integrating it with our ticketing system a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Frequent disconnects/confusion with devices, may be configuration error, but I often get false positives for some devices being offline, when they are online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Helps with managing a large fleet of devices across multiple clients, meaning I do not have to remote directly into a network to review device health. This saves a ton of profitability in the networking space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

I have used many network monitoring tools in the past. Auvik has the best discovery mechanism I have used. The UI is clean and intuitive. I like the pricing structure. There are 2 tiers. Other vendors require multiple add-ons to get the same functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

I would like to do more reporting from within Auvik. For extended reporting, you will need to use Microsoft Power BI. Also, setting up alerts is very easy. However, the alerts could be more customizable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Creating and updating network maps can be tedious. Auvik's approach to this is great. Auvik is constantly scanning your approved networks for new devices and will add them to your maps. I now have real-time network maps at my fingertips. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

Auvik is one of the best Network monitoring and management product I have encountered in my 8 years of career in the Information technology and Networking industry. Need to highlight the simplicity of its GUI and it has all the information about your network in a more compact way. The dynamic map feature is a life savior for a network admin which helps to visualize the entire network in a single view. Map can be configured to update every 10 min and even the alarms can be seen in the map itself on the relevant interfaces or devices. Under device view, all the information is available including the running os version, recommended os version, end-of-support dates etc. Advanced features such as configuration backup, configuration comparison, and Netflow traffic analysis are all inbuilt with Auvik whereas in other RMM vendors, these are add-on modules that you need to purchase additionally. Also, the license structure of Auvik is so simple and the license is based on a total number of network devices categorized into switches, routers, firewalls, and on-premise Wireless controllers. Every other device such as IP phones and access points would not be counted for licenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

There is nothing to dislike on Auvik. But the offering is on the cloud only as of today. Better check for on-premise option as well in case of there are customers who are not willing to adopt cloud offering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

First Auvik can be used to discover your network and then you will have a complete understanding of your network topology with full inventory details. Normally this process is a time-consuming manual task. But Auvik helps to discover the entire network and map that into a graphical view in a matter of minutes. What do you like best about Auvik?

I like how it can discover all the devices on the network. I like that I can then just add a few creds and basically never have to log into any devices directly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Least helpful thing is Traffic insights. The hardest part is gathering all the information to manage every device. The SNMP Creds, the login, and all the other information we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Auvik is solving a lot of things. What version specific devices are on, Sys logs for switches, Network mapping. Finding unmanaged devices. Discovering devices that I didn't even know were managed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

The discovery is by far the best feature. The extra devices that are included for monitoring but aren't 'billable' are a huge plus. The installation of the polling unit was exactly how it should be. Light/Sleek/Easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

I didn't find in-depth information for virtualized or cloud infrastructure. I didn't have enough time on the trial to explore the API for integration into tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Standard monitoring with an easy to understand cost model. Simplicity of the product and ease of use is key. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
