What is Ameego?

The Ameego team is very familiar with the restaurant industry. In fact, you can call us seasoned individuals who have spent years wearing different hats including serving, bartending, and more in Winnipeg. During this time, one thing held true across the board – scheduling was often the most dreadful part of the job. Beyond keeping track of who could work which shifts, schedules copied over from the previous week didn’t take budgeting into consideration, it was difficult for staff members to switch shifts, and communication was often a challenge. Enter: Ameego. We started in a basement in 2006 and now, we’re here! Ameego is a leading scheduling, labor management and communication software built for the hospitality industry. It has a lot more bells and whistles than when I was using 10 years ago so I am still trying to integrate some of these new functions into my routines! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ameego solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ameego helps me forecast labour, it handles scheduling reaquests with complete ease and once you set-yourself-up-for-success by adjusting sales forecasts by events/resos/weather AND putting your aces-in-their-places (and regular star employees in their regular shifts helping them grow their business within your business!) You can put a schedule together with "ONE TOUCH" of a button and often be ready to post right then and there. Being able to track things like sick/personal days helps you identify "trends" that you may not have noticed were happening (especially with large and part-time staffs). What do you like best about Ameego?

Ameego provides great analytics and is very user-friendly. It provides a solution for labour management and historicals with log notes and labour. I like the daily emails with all the data and information relating to the previous day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ameego?

When forecasting for holiday weekends it would be advantageous if it was able to relate the upcoming forecasted week based on what happened during the same holiday week the year before. Statutory holidays move around. Also, a warning email could be sent out based on the user criteria if the business unit is off-plan? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ameego?

Helps control payroll cost with forecasting features. Integrates with Ceridian our payroll processing platform. Staff are able to clock in and out. Calculates holiday pay! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ameego?

Not able to fully integrate with our POS system; therefore, forecasting is not 100% accurate. Does not suggest to the manager where and when to cut shifts in real time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Help control our payroll % saving money! Helps managers stay on track with creating schedules and allows the Area managers to review before the schedule gets posted.
